Hey everyone! I'm Max, a new tutor, and I thought I'd create a free weekly study group as a more informal way to work with students than one-on-one tutoring. This decision is to some degree motivated by a desire to have a study group as a complement to my tutoring (which you can find more details about here), but honestly, I mostly just enjoy yapping about the LSAT.

I'll plan on meeting every Friday at 4pm pst for an extremely informal, office hours-style study session, but you're also more than welcome to ask questions (either in the study chat or dms) throughout the week and work with other students in the group.

Hi everyone. I'm taking the June LSAT and I was thinking it might be nice to virtually get together for an hour or two with a small group of 3-4 people aiming for 170+ on the June LSAT sometime this week (Monday or Tuesday around 7 or 8PM ET perhaps?) to have a last minute review session. We could go over level 4-5 questions and share how we would approach them in real time, talk about things we want to keep in mind going into the test, and overall just share positive pre-test vibes with one another. If you are interested, please comment, and I'll make a chat with the first 3-4 people who comment!

Hey!

I'm looking to start or join an in-person study group in Portland, OR. I'd love to meet once or twice a week for study sessions and general accountability. I took the LSAT last fall and scored a 163. I'm taking it again in September and hope to break 170.

I've had a hard time staying motivated to study while balancing a 9 to 5, but it's seriously time to lock in! If anyone is interested in studying together or starting a group, feel free to reach out :)

Hey everyone :)

I’m looking for a consistent LSAT study buddy (or a very small study group — ideally 2–4 people max) for the September LSAT.

My recent PT average is around 160, with my highest being a 165. My goal is to break into the 170–175 range, and I’d love to find people in a somewhat similar score range who are serious about improving and staying accountable.

I study around 2–4 hours a day and would be down for:

  • silent study sessions/accountability calls

  • reviewing questions together

  • occasional drills/PT breakdowns

  • or honestly just suffering through RC passages together in solidarity

I’m located just outside the GTA/Toronto area, so I’d be happy to study either online or potentially in person if you’re nearby. I’m on Eastern Time and usually prefer studying earlier in the day because that’s when my brain functions most like a human being, but I’m pretty flexible overall.

My strengths are mostly Necessary Assumption/Sufficient Assumption questions. My weaker areas are flaws and RC (RC currently feels like a personal attack, but we move).

A little context: I already took the LSAT once and applied last cycle, but my score wasn’t where I needed it to be for the schools I wanted. Retaking while trying to stay motivated has honestly been harder than I expected, so I figured I’d shoot my shot here instead of studying alone and slowly losing my mind.

If anyone’s interested — or if you have tips for staying disciplined/motivated during a retake cycle — feel free to message me on here and we can connect outside the app :)

Ask a Logic Professor

Hello LSAT Travelers!

My name is Dr. Lars Enden. I used to be a professor of philosophy and logic. I did that for about 20 years. But now, I am an LSAT tutor, and I have been doing this full-time for over 3 years.

The purpose of this group, is to offer a space where you can ask a professional logic professor (that's me!) anything you want. So, come to a session with a topic or a question that you want to discuss. It can be anything LSAT related (even RC, which is mostly logic anyway!) and I will do my best to help you with it. For Free!

The group will meet every Wednesday 2 - 3:30 pm Eastern / 11 am - 12:30 pm Pacific. I hope to see you then!

And, of course, if you are looking for a tutor, check out my post in the tutoring marketplace!

Looking for a study partner who has done PT 147 and wants to work through it together. I learn so much more hearing/giving explanations with someone rather than just making notes of my wrong answers. 6pm EST onwards tonight would be perfect!

LSAT Discord Group (repost)

I don't want to spam here, so I share this every few months or so. :)

I'll keep it short this time too 😅 Here is the link to the LSAT discord I moderate 💙

Hopefully I continue having people who wish to help other's learning in a positive way.

https://discord.gg/eq7QSHKQnn

  • all LSAT scores welcomed!

  • free of ads and promotions (to avoid scams and keep learning accessible)

  • resources and chats for LR and RC help.

  • Daily LR everyday at 5PM PST / 8PM EST

I'm also doing my best to keep the server friendly but am grateful that folks in the discord have been doing their best to help facilitate this space to be this way.

It's named "California LSAT" as I originally wanted to have people in PST time zone, but everyone here is welcomed to join ✨💙

Thanks y'all!

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a group of people to study with to prep for the October LSAT. I gave it a go almost a year ago but got sidetracked due to starting a full time job and I want to be more disciplined in my approach to studying. I live in the OC area so would be down to meet up in person in the evenings after work and can even do online! I look forward to connecting with y'all soon!

Hi! I am looking for an LR study buddy to meet Monday and Wednesdays to do untimed/timed LR sections on our own and meet 6-8 pm est to review questions we got wrong and make it interactive. Someone with ADHD would be nice and scoring between -0 to -6 max (consistently in the low 160s/ mid 160s).

Also, if you live in NY would love to meet in person! Please message me!

Hello, 7sagers! I have been making this discord server for the past month now and I think I'm ready to make it public! This is Fortuna Laboris LSAT. I believe in very much that your fortune is often in the hands of your labor. This discord is for people who are hard working and want to be in a community with other hard working individuals! Currently pretty small and the server could definitely use some "sprucing" up but it is in it's early stages. Students, tutors, and professionals are all welcome! https://discord.gg/SMcxEaCuah

🫣 Conflicted?

Part-Time JD Program

Hi everyone! I just recently graduated from undergrad (yay!) and decided to take a gap year before applying to improve my LSAT score and to boost my resume with more than just an internship. I recently got a job at a decent-sized law firm as a legal assistant, and they were hoping that when I go to law school, it would be part-time so I can continue working at the firm. Before the application cycle opens up, and before I go in too deep with this firm, I need to know if working full-time while attending law school part-time is something I can realistically achieve.

I am curious if anyone else is in a similar situation where they are looking to apply to a part-time JD program. I'm completely unfamiliar with the part-time process, as everyone I've talked to is in law school full-time.

I have no idea how law schools weigh part-time applicants. Would I even be a good part-time applicant, considering I am younger, etc.? So many questions, very little answers!!!

Please join the chat room if you are planning on doing a part-time program, or if you're thinking about it, or if you have any extensive knowledge!

Sincerely,

A girl who has a lot to think about :)

Help Closing the Gap

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone can help me in closing the score gap (Timed vs. BR).

I've been seeing some improvement but I am concerned if this indicates more of shaky foundations rather than just time pressure.

Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
