Hello! I'm looking to form a small study group for the Nov. test. I'm currently PT-ing in the 165 range (BR 176-178) and aiming to get to 171-173. Currently, I'm averaging -3/4 for LR (aiming to get down to -1/2) and -4/5 for RC (aiming to get it down to -3/4. For LG, I'm struggling with time and not getting to the last game (working on it! :) )

I'd love to create a group with people with similar stats. It would be great to sync up on practice tests. I've done PT 60-72, so study buddies around low 70s PTs would be amazing! Trying the cadence of 3/week at least and regularly meeting to review PTs at that similar cadence.

Things I'm personally working on:

  • Test-taking strategies
  • Difficult Necessary Assumption Qs
  • Difficult Disagreement Qs
  • Navigating abstract language (difficult argument part, flaw, etc)
  • General LR fluency and speed
  • Timing/fluency for games
  • Reverse engineering Qs and seeing how I could have gotten them correct on RC / generally trying to find something that works on RC
  • Other deets:

  • I'm in Pacific time
  • Not sure what a good size is, but something like 4-5?
  • Feel free to send me a direct message with your situation and we can see if it is a good fit both ways!!

    Study Partners

Hello, guys would anyone like to start a small group chat focused around preparing for the November 2020 LSAT or any exams at later date this year (i.e January or February). Definitely would like to start a small group chat with around 8-10 where we can bounce ideas off of one another and seek guidance.

If you think this may be something of interest please comment below with your email information and I'll be sure to coordinate accordingly.

    Thank you !

Hi everyone! My name is Maddie, and I am new here to 7Sage! A little bit about myself - I've been out of undergrad for three years and I currently work in BigLaw as a legal assistant in IP Litigation in Boston, MA. I'm hoping to take the LSAT in summer 2021 (not sure of the month since 2021-2022 dates haven't been released yet, but at max study for a year for the August 2021 LSAT).

I'm at the beginning of the CC (Main Point questions) and I'm looking for a study buddy/accountability partner to go through the CC, do blind review on untimed sections, and maybe even timed practice preptests when it gets to that stage. Due to the global circumstances, my preference would be to meet online via Zoom, Facetime, Skype, etc. I'd ideally like to meet once or twice a week since I work full-time, so weekday nights/weekends would work for me. I'm also open to creating a study group if more people are interested in working with me!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone used focusmate and wanted to join a group for 7sagers

Focusmate is a productivity website where you get to work silently with other strangers.

Add your focusmate email if you are interested!

I'm taking the October Flex and will be studying full-time until then. My average is 162 and my goal score is 168 with a floor in the mid 160s. I'm starting to hit a wall around -7 RC, -5 LG, and -5 LR. If anyone else is in a similar place and would be interested in coordinating PTs so we can BR and review them together, please let me know. I'm planning to take PTs every other day until my test on October 8. I've been doing even numbered PTs and am up to PT70 so the schedule would probably consistent of even-numbered PTs from 72 to 88. Thanks!

My PT average is 165, and my goal is 170+. I'm looking for a group/buddy currently testing in the 160s to do a blind review "debate/discussion" of one practice test every week, with some optional additional review together.

I'm in Asia now, but the time difference is pretty convenient with US times - 10 hours ahead of eastern/11 hours ahead of central/12 ahead of mountain/12 ahead of pacific

E.g., we could meet Friday night your time - Saturday morning my time / Saturday morning your time -Saturday night my time / Sunday night your time - Monday morning my time. Also open to other options. Best,

    Hello all!

I have taken 5 (FLEX format) PTs (PT 1-5), I have not taken any recent PTs or seen LR questions from recent PTs. My average was 160 but I have seen some of the questions on these exams except for RC section.

    My goal score is 165+

I am very comfortable with LG (0 ~ -2 timed but am taking a big hit in RC -12+ timed and -7~ -8 blind review.

LR is okay. (-4 ~ -8 timed). I know I have most to be gained from studying RC since my score is so low and that is precisely what I am doing. After some studying my timed have gone down from -14ish to -9 ~ -11, my BR score has improved as well, -2 ~ -5

The reason I feel rushed to take the Nov is because I don't feel comfortable taking 5-section exam in general even though I am signed up for Jan LSAT.

To be honest I just want to take November because I don't think there will be anymore 3-section exams. I figured, if I don't hit the goal score in Nov, I can study for another 6 months and prepare for the 5-section exam.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! And, good luck to those taking the exam soon!

Hey everyone! I know eating, breathing and living LSAT prep for the past couple of months can take a toll on one's mental health. If anyone is interested in making a group to keep each other accountable, share our feelings (& ugh I guess we can discuss LSAT material... :'( ) please comment your FACEBOOK below or DM it to me if you're interested!

    CLOSED FOR NOW

Pretty early for January, but I have a low gpa and I'm trying to squeeze out everything I've got. (Won't be applying until next cycle) My PT average is 167 and I'm BR in the mid 170s, aiming for a 175+. Main issue is logical reasoning, pretty solid on lg. Looking for a group/buddy to review with, am Central time but can be flexible!!

    Comment or message me :)

Hello 7Sage community! I am a full-time worker and I have been studying for the LSAT for 6 months now. I have a pretty solid foundation with BR scores ranging between 172 - 177, but I am having trouble translating that performance to timed sections. I consistently feel behind and slow. I am typically not even looking at 6-7 questions on both LR and RC. I am improving on LG with recent timed sections at -4/-5. Still work to do to get to -0, but it is an improvement.

I am currently PT-ing in the high 150s (average is 158). I am targeting 165+ and would appreciate having a tutor help me develop strategies to get there. I know I can do it, I just need some guidance along the way.

I am in Chicago (Central Time) and am available before or after work (before 9am and after 5pm). I am scheduled for the October and November exams and am highly motivated to meet as often as possible to improve.

If anyone is out there scoring 165+ (hopefully in 170s), please DM me. I am happy to get together over Google Meets or whatever is easiest. Thanks!

    Hi!

I've got a study buddy for the October LSAT and we're looking to have 1 or 2 more people join us who scores in the same range we do (so anywhere between 160-170). I currently score about -6 to -7 in RC, anywhere between -4 to -7 in LR, and -0 in LG. My study partner scores about -4 in RC, -1 in LR, and -0 in LG. We plan to get together on Teams about once a week to discuss RC and LR for PTs above 80. This weekend we're going over PT 81. Please msg me if interested :)

    November Study Group:

Hello! Im currently looking to create a study group for people looking to improve their scores and work together. I'm currently in the mid 160s and would like to try to get over 169++. I was thinking we could do some practice tests apart or together and then review sections/questions and general tips/strategies. Google Hangouts works well for this. I am currently deployed in Japan however, so timing would have to be worked around, but a small group of serious students would be appreciated. I am willing to be flexible to with timing and location once we get a few people together.

Additionally, I have scanned pdf copies of about 20 or so practice tests that I am willing to share if people do not have them.

I also have my own notes I keep updated which I can share as well.

Planning on taking the November LSAT, scoring around 165 but aiming higher. Looking to create a study group, I am currently in University so I think evening time 7 PST would be best or early morning. Looking to meet around three times a week and focus more on LR and RC. Also for support through this. Planning on going through PT 62+

Anyone here also not from a traditional pre-law background? Im a theatre artist with a BFA looking to make a big transition. If anyone else thinks of their pre-law background as non-traditional, lets maybe have a study or commiserating group?

My diagnostic was in the 130s, I'm aiming at mid-160s. I'm finished with the core curriculum, I've been taking untimed practice sections. I'm getting ready to start taking timed practice tests, I'll be starting by taking PT36. I'm hoping to take the test in November, but most likely January. I'm struggling with BR, so if you are interested in working with me so we can help each other out, let me know! I'd prefer to work someone in a similar time zone, I'm PST. Or if you're someone that is testing pretty high and would like to practice your tutoring skills, I'm open to that as well!

    October Study Buddy-

    Hello!

I am looking for a study buddy so that we can motivate each other and also work through/review some difficult questions together. I believe mental wellbeing is super important, so I would prefer working with someone who is a good communicator that has (or tries) to have a positive attitude toward the LSAT!

I have gone through the Powerscore LG and LR Bibles, LSAT Trainer, JY's LG videos, and Loophole. I have completed every PT from 50-89....and working on foolproofing LG

I would say my weakest section is RC and strongest section is LG, but I really want to do well in every section because each part is weighted equally now.

Please message me or comment if you're interested! Thanks :)

Also open to tutor recommendations (especially those that have experience helping retakers)
