Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. I started studying a few weeks ago and scored a 140 on my diagnostic test. However, I am having trouble grasping the main conclusion logical reasoning questions that are categorized as high difficulty. I've listened to podcasts and tried to understand the explanations, but I haven't had much luck despite trying multiple different approaches.
I can manage the moderate and easy questions, but I'm unsure whether I should move on to other topics or continue to focus on these challenging questions. Should I explore a different strategy or perhaps shift my focus to Reading Comprehension? I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights you might have.
Thank you for your help!
I am writing the in-person LSAT on Friday. I know in the 10min intermission you cannot write on your scratch paper. Can you write on it during the 1min breaks between sections?

We are currently considering how to best support our students during this challenging time. If you've been affected, please fill out this form: https://coda.io/form/Form-for-LA-students_d9kD52WAqIc
We will share more information in the coming days. Our thoughts are with our Los Angeles based students and the rest of the LA community. We're committed to helping where we can.
Anyone in Connecticut/Rhode Island looking for a friend to study with? I am aiming to take the June LSAT! I'm happy to meet virtually or in person or a combination of both. Evenings & weekends are best for me. Thanks!!
Hey I am trying to decide whether to subscribe to 7sage. I am taking the lsat in 3 months and have been using powerscore, I see some improvement but not a lot because it's not personalized. What are your guys' thoughts?
Hi all,
I've taken 14 PTs. I find I learn best through a combination of drilling and PTs. However, 7Sage uses PT content for drilling. I like this, but I'm concerned about compromising future PTs due to having answered some of their questions during my drilling sessions.
I've started to plan which PTs I will take in the future, and selecting drilling questions only for PTs not belonging to that group of tests. The plan is to keep "fresh" PTs 111-121. As a result of this, I have been drilling from PTs in the 140s and 150s.
However, I'm concerned about possible differences between the quality, rigor, or relevance of different PTs. This could mislead me in my evaluations of where I am at in my LSAT journey. Are some PTs more applicable to the modern LSAT than others? If anyone has any information about this, please let me know! Also, what is your approach to this problem? Have you encountered this? If there's a flaw in my approach, or an alternate method that you've found success with, also let me know!
Any advice is appreciated- thank you
Last week I posted in here asking for advice on getting worse with every PT I did (158 diagnostic, 167s after finishing lessons, to 163s and then 158 on most recent PT). After the 158 I took 3 days completely off from the test - no lessons, drills, or PTs. Rested, spent time with friends, got good sleep, enjoyed my weekend. Came back and did a PT yesterday and scored a 168, which is my highest score yet.
I just wanted to share this as I saw several comments from others sharing similar experiences and I wanted to reiterate how important it is to rest. Taking a break let me come back fresh, focused, and less stressed after burning myself out. Especially for those taking the Jan test such as myself, it's really important to take breaks, rest, and not overdue it in this last week. It's also valuable to know that this experience is common and that these waves and plateaus can happen.
I am retaking after getting a 165 on the Oct. test, and I am anxious about difficult LR sections. A predictions video online said that they are adding more formal conditional logic and questions about numbers. Does anyone know of any sections that have more questions like this? I felt like the October test was much more difficult than PTs but it could have also been my anxiety.
Hi All,
Any drills for the foundations part of this course? I really want to have those cemented before I wade into deeper, more complicated waters.
Thank you!
Hey all,
Do the drills that you can create from the questions here on 7Sage include questions from experimental sections on the tests? Or is it all scored questions only?
Hello,
So I wrote my test in Oct and scored a 152 and then signed up for the Jan one. Around November I started taking it seriously and in the PTs 130-140s I was consistently scoring 156-158 and BR 161-163 which was improving my confidence. However once I started the PT150s my score in every section plummeted. For RC my average per section was -9 pretty consistently where my LR averaged between -7 and -9 BRing my LR around -4 and -6 per section. I took 153 and scored a 158. 154 scored 156 and just took 156 and scored a 151.
I write the LSAT in legit 4 days and now I'm panicking cuz the RCs in the 150s are so much harder than I thought and RC was my biggest issue and bringing it down to -9 was a fight.
Essentially my question is, because the 150s are closest to the modern tests, should I expect my score to between 151 and 153? What should I do? I feel like I'm out of time.
Hello I am planning to take the Feb LSAT, and I am looking for someone to review the last few LSAT (88-94). Feel free to message if interested.
Hello everyone! I am taking the LSAT for the first time in a few weeks and it will be remotely proctored. I have a 50% additional time extension for my disability. What should I expect on test day? Will I be alone with a proctor or will there be other students there as well? Also, will I be allowed to use the highlight and cross-out answers features on the actual test? Lastly, will I be able to monitor the time I have left like I can on PTs or will I get some kind of warning about the time I have left? Any response would be much appreciated, I just want to hear from people with testing experience. Also, good luck to my fellow January test-takers!
Hi all,
I am looking for people who would like to meet up 2-3 times a week to study and review. I am currently aiming for the June LSAT and looking to jump from the 150's to 170 by June. I am Pacific Time and can meet any time in the afternoon/evening. Let me know and we can set up a discord or something.
Hi everyone-newbie here and I have been in the workforce for the last 15 years (completed Master's Degree 10 years ago), so asking for an academic letter of recommendation does not seem like the most reasonable path. I have non-academic professionals who are happy to assist, but I do not know where their focus should lie within the letters. Work Ethic, Emotional Intelligence, General Intelligence, Ambition....the list goes on and on. Any advice on what a letter from a professional should look like to help my admission into Law School?
Hi everyone. Just wondering if there's a way to take a PT untimed? I was working through my first PT but then had to step away and all the time for the test was lost.
It's January test week. This is your opportunity to shine and show those law schools what you are made of. You are doing something that many people are not willing to do. You are taking a very difficult and important exam, so be proud of how much you have achieved thus far. I am nervous, I am sure you are nervous, but think of it as just another test. Do not let the pressure get to you. Block out all of the emotion and act like it's just another test. Forget the person proctoring you, watching you closely, you made it this far and you will do just fine. I have faith in you. Do not forget that a number does not define you. Don't let it define you. Whether it is your first LSAT or your fifth, prepare for that test with a positive mindset and press the submit button with pride, because on February 5th when January scores come out, you will get the score you were hoping for. Good luck everybody. YOU GOT THIS!!!
I don't know what I am doing wrong, or if I am just not smart enough for this test. I have been studying tirelessly on top of working full-time as a paralegal and being a mom of two. I have even hired a 7sage tutor and have now done 4 sessions with very little improvement. For context, my PTs prior to my November LSAT were in the high 140s. My actual score was 139 :/. I have been studying non-stop since and my PT scores are still 139! I don't understand, once I complete BR I can increase my score to 146. All I want is a 155+ for the January test so I can still apply this cycle. The test is 17 days away and I am no where near where I want to be.
I would love to hear how people have increased their score and what has worked for you in actually seeing PT scores increase...HELP!!
Hi everyone! I saw online yesterday that you need an external camera if you are taking the test remotely, I'm confused by this and want to see if anyone that has taken it at home can speak on this since it will be my first time. I was planning on testing on my macbook that has the built in camera, is this not allowed?
I did not initially choose C because the professor never rejected the reasoning in the argument. He simply says that the reasoning should be “discounted”. Am I being too pedantic in this case?
Admin Note: Edited title. For LR questions, please use the format: "PT#.S#.Q# - brief description of the question."
The LSAC applications ask for a list of "all educational institutions attended." I've taken a number of one-off classes at nearby colleges, some of which didn't count as college courses -- for instance, I participated in a six-week course about the publishing industry at Columbia (we didn't have grades and did little actual work) and did a six-month programming bridge course at NYU Tandon (lots of work, but the class was technically not accredited). Should I list "Columbia" and "NYU" as institutions attended? I don't want to imply that I got college credits from them.
Hello everyone, I'm trying to study sections based on the Powerscore Webinar recommendations. In the recommendations they refer to 'PT155 LRII' PT 155 has three LR sections, and the first one is expermintal. Does anyone know if they are referring to S2 or S4 of PT 155, given that S1 is expermintal and S3 is RC?
I am almost through the foundations section of the 7Sage curriculum. I do not understand lawgic and I am disappointed in myself. I decently understand it, however when we put it all together to draw valid conclusions, I get lost. Is this normal? Should I move on to the logical reasoning section or relearn everything in foundations?
