Hi need some help here. JY mentioned that we should take a break between taking a practice test and doing a blind review but should we still do this for drills? I find that I'm too close to the questions to honestly blind review them after but don't want to stop my momentum (especially since I work full time and am studying whenever I can block time off in my schedule/weekends). Does anyone have tips for being efficient with studying and blind reviewing in a way that makes a true difference?

My app was placed on "reserve" which I don't know if its a fancy or nice way of saying waitlisted. Either way they gave me 2 weeks to upload a LOCI. I applied late in the cycle so not much new achievements to mention, and I already wrote a Why Essay. Should I reiterate or expand on those points again in the LOCI? What additional info should I include, and how long should it be? I read the 7sage articles but wanted some additional info.

I am having trouble understanding what the question means when asking what is "IMPLICIT in the authors argument"

For those who are in the 170+ range on LG, how do you know how many inferences to make up front? As JY says, it helps to have made a decent amount but sometimes I spend too long doing that and it hurts me on time and the questions ending up not needing all those inferences.

Greetings! I could seriously use some outside opinions on this issue as I am beyond torn on what do:

I am currently in the end of my law school process and am in a tight spot. I currently have two acceptance letters (Hofstra and University of San Francisco) both with scholarship offers (although Hofstra’s scholarship offer extends beyond my 1L year, pending I keep a certain GPA). Both of these schools have April 15th First Seat Deposits. I am still waiting to hear back from two schools (Pace Law, which is ranked slightly higher than Hofstra & Syracuse, which is my dream school). If it helps, I want to become a sports and entertainment lawyer (more focused on Employment/Labor Law, Contract, Copyright, and Trademark law) and believe my pursuits would be best suited to take place here in New York (thus why USF has been eliminated).

I applied to Syracuse in late January and my application was marked as complete and in review 2 months ago. I still haven’t heard anything from Syracuse. My first question is if I haven’t heard anything by now, does that mean or hint something in terms of my applicant status ?

My second choice would be Pace, which has a transfer history with schools I am interested in exploring a transfer to such as USC and Fordham (would be for my second year) and . My LSAT falls above their 50th percentile (153) but my undergrad GPA is 2.89 (Grad school GPA of 3.67). Would my academic credentials grant me admission into Pace? I applied last week and the file is currently under review.

These questions lead me to Hofstra which is my third option. The 1st seat deposit of $400 is due next Monday. Should I pay it and hope that Pace and/or Syracuse get back to me before the second seat deposit is due for Hofstra (which is May 1st)? They offered me a waiver for both seat deposits (a total of $1000) which would bind me to matriculate to Hofstra and withdraw all my other applications but again, this is my third choice and if I got into the other two schools, I would go before I went here.

I know a lot of questions (3 in total) but any advice on this current situation will help! I think having some outside eyes on it could help me in my line of thinking. I do not want to pay the seat deposit but also do not want “screw” myself out of admission to a law school.

Does anyone know how likely it is to get a experimental section as your first section of the LSAT? I am worried when I take it that I will be hit with an experimental section at the beginning, and this will knock off the rest of my test.

The chaining conditionals portion of the 7sage V2 curriculum (lessons 26 and 27 of Conditional and Set Logic) is quite complicated with little to no explanation on the skill builder. Has anyone used any other resources to help learn this portion of the curriculum? It seems very important, but with no videos or expanded explanations I am having a hard time with it.

I looked into using V1 in order to get more help, but that focuses a lot on LG and I plan to take the LSAT this fall (no LG). I suppose I could come back to this section, but it seems pretty important, so does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed if 7sage does not have further instruction on chaining conditionals?

Hi everyone ! Is there anyone in the Boston area! I would love to create a study buddy group for those taking the June LSAT

So Ive been taking preptests and I seem to be stuck getting -1/-5 on LR. ITS DRIVING ME INSANE. I cant seem to get a perfect score on this section and was wondering how some y'all are studying for LR or how you went about drastically reducing the number of LR questions you get wrong?

I'm from Mongolia and I currently live in Texas.

I tried my best to find and connect with a Mongolian lawyer practicing in Texas to get some advice. But I couldn't find any. Only found two lawyers but they both live in different states.

In my diversity statement, should I emphasize where I'm from and how not a lot of us go to law school in the US (how I may be the first one in TX)?

Or would that make me a weaker candidate? (for example, the admission officer thinking I won't make it through to the finishing)

All my recent practice tests have been scores in the low 60s. On average I get -1/0 LG, -8/-5 LR, and -11/-8 RC. I have a learning disability related to reading which is why my RC are so low, and I get accommodations of extra time on the exam to compensate for that. My RC used to be a lot worse but with lots of practice I've really improved. On blind review I usually go up around 3 points total (with the majority of correction on my LR).

I'm trying to get at least a 165 on the exam but preferably higher, so I figured the best way to improve was working on my LR section more. And I'm really trying to improve before the June LSAT since it will be the last time to take it with LG which is my best section. But the problem is even though I get more questions right on blind review the next day, every time I take a practice test I'm still getting the same results. My last 3 PTs have been 161. Maybe it has something to do with time pressure or overload of questions one after another I'm not really sure. I also tried taking more time to really make sure I'm getting questions right before moving on but that strategy completely fails cause I just end up not finishing all the questions before time runs out.

I'm going to keep doing timed drills and practicing but does anyone have any other tips?

I choose A, I thought it was a Sufficente/ Necessity error confusion, but I can understand that the suttle part is when the argument give us an example of a recent research where flexibility works better than tighten groups if a common purpose is shared, but what if not? That means the sufficient condition is not meat and we lose the necessary condition, so we don't have an argument.

The passage starts with a conditional claim, then there is a shift, claiming that in order for the A ---> B B has a condition, so in order for the claim to be true we need to assume that the condition is true for all cases. That's why AC E is correct.

How are you guys approaching RC when doing low res? Since LSAT is digital, you can't write in the margins of the passage. Should we just commit to memory the low res of each paragraph? Or are we supposed to write them down on scratch paper?

If you’re waiting to hear back from other schools, how do you go about seat deposits?

I know I can’t rush a school’s decision, so would I just put a seat deposit down until I hear back from the other schools?

I am registered for the June 2024 LSAT. Should I be taking the Legacy mode which has 4 scored sections or the Current mode which has 3 scored sections. I know that the June 2024 LSAT only has 3 scored sections, but the current mode does not seems to have an additional experimental section.

I just took a diagnostic after 6 months of having taken one (no studying in between). I am now ready to start studying with a consistent schedule and take the September Test. The problem is that my diagnostic score 6 months ago which included the LG section was significantly higher than my score from today, which I did without LG. Should I register for the June LSAT and try to study these next 5 weeks (mastering LG) and take it with the LG section, or should I just forget about LG and take it in Sept as the updated test version and take my time partaking on the other sections?

I've come across many posts by @akistotle they refer to as their "Cookie Cutter Reviews". These posts are super helpful and I'd like to read more of them. However, I can't figure out a way to effectively locate more of these specific posts. I initially found them in a comment under a video explanation, so searching the discussion forum obviously wouldn't locate. Would appreciate #help with this!
