Has anyone recently dealt with a foreign institution (Europe) sending transcripts to LSAC? My university Can create all records necessary and translate them. What they categorically refuse to do us mail them to LSAC.
Anyone mailed the seal envelope themselves?
Hi, does anyone know how to sort exclusively for correlation-causation questions in the question bank? Thanks!
Hey everyone! My name is Emaan! I just started my LSAT journey here on 7sage but have been studying by myself these past couple of weeks. I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in a study group/accountability group/ just a place where we can talk about the test, the CC, discuss any questions, practice and just vent!
Comment below if you're interested!
Any tips on how to get from -4/-5 down to -1/-2 on LR?
Thanks!
So my UGPA ended at a 3.1, but I don't know how my CAS GPA will look like, and fear it could be significantly worse- around a 2.8 even. I re-took several failed classes, so replacing an F or D with a B or A on 3 occasions helped my GPA quite a bit on my school's transcript, but it seems CAS won't calculate it that way.
On the bright side, I'm scoring mid to high 160's currently on practices and feel confident that by my second LSAT take, likely November, I'll achieve the 170 I'm aiming for, or at least a 167+.
Using 7sage's law school predictor with these numbers (2.8, 170) has had me rather confident about my chances for the schools I'm hoping for 20-40 ranked, with UF my #1 choice. 7sage predictor puts me at 85% chance for UF.
I have two questions - one, is that law school predictor very reliable? Because I'm kind of shocked that good schools would really want me if my CAS GPA comes out that low, knowing how high most applicants' GPAs are. (I know LSAT is a big factor, but the GPA difference seems so big that, to me, a score just above L75 wouldn't reconcile that. I could well be wrong, though). And two, anyone else who applied with low GPA can speak from experience how their admissions went, or just anyone with the knowledge?
Any help or advice is very much appreciated.
Background
I toyed with the idea of going to law school around March, but I wasn't sold on it. I was nervous to take the LSAT and was unsure of the career outcomes. I had a solo road trip from Florida to Colorado, so I decided to listen to some podcasts about law and the LSAT.
Luckily, I stumbled upon the 7Sage podcast and all of David's wonderful interviews. I binged on every episode during my 2-day drive. Hearing from 7Sage students and admissions staff was eye-opening and inspirational. This is one of the best free resources regarding law school admissions that I have found -- and trust me, I've listened to a ton of videos and podcasts lol.
Studying for the LSAT
I took a cold diagnostic on Khan Academy and received a 158. At this time, I imagined UF to be my ultimate goal. All I needed were a few more points! But Khan's structure left me unsatisfied, and I was scoring between 156 and 163 after a few weeks of studying.
I knew the free option wasn't going to work, so I signed up for 7Sage. JY's explanations were exactly what I needed, but I found the comments to be the real secret to my success. We all know how JY can say an answer is just wrong without an explanation, so it helped to see others explain why a certain AC didn't work.
Going through the CC helped me learn the test, and I started to score in the low 160s. I knew I had more to learn so I followed this schedule:
Monday-Friday: 1-3 hours of studying (I would do 2 or 3 timed sections or go over lessons on key concepts)
Saturday: Full PT and BR after
Sunday: Go over all flagged and wrong answers
Hitting 170
My routine helped me get to the mid 160s, but I felt like my scores were not consistent. So I focused on each section for 1 week at a time to see if I could master them.
Monday - Friday, I would do 2-3 timed sections of a specific section or question type. RC was the most important, and 1 week of studying it helped me get to a -3 consistently.
At this point, I averaged 169-171.
The Real Deal
My first real LSAT (July 2020) was a 166. I was happy but also let down. I knew I could do better.
So I took a week off and then did 2 practice tests per week. I also reviewed every wrong answer I ever got on any PT. This helped me see old mistakes that I may never have corrected.
Finally, I scored a 170 on the August LSAT.
Thanks again JY!

Looking for accountability partner/s!!
Hi everyone! I'm currently struggling getting SA and NA Qs correctly and wanted to ask what your study strategy is to understanding the concept of SA and NA Qs? And what do you think about before answering these the questions?
When a sentence begins with "Unless", does the beginning of that sentence become the necessary condition, and you would then negate the second half of the sentence? #help
Anyone? :'(
Is iMac allowed for Flex test? Anyone tried before? If so, how did you show the room to your proctor in the beginning? Thank you!
Hey everyone! Getting ready to take the October LSAT-Flex and I'm trying to make sure I have everything all figured out and ready so I don't have any tech-related stressors on the day of the test. I have a list below of things I'm planning on doing in the next week or so, but wanted to see if there's anything I'm forgetting or not thinking of that others would recommend.
Anyone that has taken the test or is taking this test have anything else I should do tech/prep wise? Thank you! Good luck to everyone who will be taking it with me!!
Hey yall!
I had closed my account after the August Flex. But I'm a splitter and I think I can achieve an even better LSAT score for the November test if my PTs were any indication, so now Im back babyyyyyyy!
But anyway, I'm wondering if anyone is in a similar situation as far as having gone through almost all the recent PT's. Not only that, but I've found that I've only got about 10 clean and fresh PTs out of ALL of them. Now those 10 PTs will be enough for the five weeks or so that I have left to study, but they're very old. Has anyone found it helpful to retake already completed PTs? Or have general tips or strategies they use when they've already gone through all of the core curriculum/most of the questions?
Thanks!
By applecare support, I found a folder within that belongs to lawhub, and on one mac it takes up 50GB!!!! and on my new mac, which I used to access lawhub, it takes up 600GB!! I was wondering if it's okay to delete those files (they were under library>applicationsupport>google>chrome>default>indexedDB>https_lawhub.lsac.org_0.indexeddb.blob)
Do anyone have the same problem? I
was able to locate the folder by applecare support people. I was worried that if I deleted them, it would cause problems when I take my flex. (I tried deleting it on one of the computers and lawhub works fine, but felt insecure about what would happen during real-time flex).
LSAC said they would be sending login credentials today at noon, but I have yet to receive an email. I tried emailing and calling LSAC but the lines are busy and I got an automated email back. I'm just stressed because there is only one day I am available to take the test and I want to make sure I get that day. Let me know if anyone else is having issues with this!
Hi guys, do you know whether it's FREE to reschedule time slots on ProctorU?
Not to reschedule the whole test to another month, but to reschedule it within a day.
I'm trying to call the LSAC at 215-968-1001 to change my test date, but the line is continuously busy even though it usually has an automated menu. Is anyone else having this difficulty? I'd like to change it to Nov test, but the registration deadline is tomorrow, so not sure how I'm supposed to change it by then.
Did anyone get that supposed email that they should've sent at 12? I didnt see it in my inbox. (I know that it's possible to do it early. Just feel a little insecure without the email)
I am currently in a bit of a panic because I made the decision to pursue law school for the 2021 Fall term only at the end of July of this year and I am not improving my LSAT much at all from my diagnostic. I am taking the Oct LSAT (almost certainly erasing my score) and the Nov LSAT.
I am currently PTing at about 148-150. My Blind Review scores are closer to the mid-upper 160s which. I am hoping for a 158-160 for the schools that I am applying to, as most of them have a median of 155-157. I am becoming less confident with my abilities to reach a 158ish by Nov.
How much will I be hurting/helping myself if I test in January and apply closer to February? Or is it more wise to hold off a year?
Any thoughts or recommendations are more appreciated than I can put into words. Thank you.
175 on the August Flex!
However, I've already paid for and cannot get a refund for October. I think there's a 50/50 chance I could improve on 175 based on my PTs, but therefore a 50/50 shot I score worse. Really hoping to earn as much scholarship money as possible, so I think improving that score would be beneficial. But my question is, is there risk to a retake? That is, if I get a 172, 173, will that hurt my chances at a top school?
Further context maybe relevant is I have a low (3.36) gpa from a top ten undergrad.
What's the difference between different days? Like I signed up for thurdsay for October because I was like, all things equal, more time is better for me but not if there's an increase in difficulty? This is a huge concern that I can't find any information and I'd really appreciate any information on the difference in test experiences between the days. Otherwise I'll take the 3rd, I just found out that you can take it later in the week. obviously this is time sensitve.
Hi! I was wondering if anyone used focusmate and wanted to join a group for 7sagers

"I’ve taken the LSAT twice in one year now. First one, I scored 140 in May. Second one, 145 in August. I’m debating if I should take the November flex now and max out my third attempt. I cannot seem to score higher than a 147 in practice exams. I had Kaplan course and 2 tutors. Still no progress. My undergrad GPA was a 2.67, so I need to get the highest possible GPA.
What do you suggest? Take November? I want to be considered for Spring start for a school in Texas and I have time to take off right now."
So I took the August flex and completed my writing sample on 9/11. Unfortunately, my writing sample results are still pending so I have not received my score. I am currently going a little insane and pretty restless. I have not been able to get anything productive done due to the anxiety surrounding score release. Any tips for maintaining sanity and work ethic during this time ? I'm thinking of starting my applications but having a bit of trouble on the motivation front
