reread the question stems when you're unsure about the answer

Go back through the questions you got wrong [without having the correct answer pulled up] and write down the following:

    1. The passage number and a brief note on its topic + purpose
    2. The question stem category in your own words
    3. The type of action you must do (e.g. "Find specific reference in text", "Make an inference", etc.)
    4. Why you chose the answer that you did (if the answer is "running low on time", then redo the question live while doing this)
    5. Why the answer you chose is wrong (make sure to be specific; i.e. "the answer choice says 'always' when the passage leaves room for the possibility of it being 'sometimes'")
    6. What you think the new right answer is and why

After doing this for 15-20 questions that you've gotten wrong, you should be able to identify the passage types, question types, and wrong-answer choices that tend to trip you up.

    Hope that helps!
