hmmm. isn't D diagrammed backwards. ie. All students can participate in recess after the bell has rung.
Bell doesn't ring, they can't go to recess.
~ring -----> ~recess
Recess ----> Ring
All employees can participate after they have been with the company for 1 year.
Not 1 year service then can't participate
~1 year ----> ~participate
Participate -----> 1 year +
Video instead says 1 year + ----------> participate?
Gavin is 3 years instead of 1. And then they conclude that he must participate from a can premise. That is why it doesn't match. I think there is error in the video.

This is like saying, "Since you've been with the company for 1 year, you can participate."
If you diagrammed it as P-->+1yr, then you would be mischaracterizing the relationship. Think of it this way, what happens once you've been with the company for a year? You're automatically eligible to participate. It is sufficient for your eligibility in the program. But maybe some employees like the CEO can participate upon being hired, so participation alone doesn't tell us anything about the amount of time a person has worked there. All we know is that if you pass the one year mark (after one year), you can participate.
Maybe it would be clearer to see if the sentence was written as "after an employee works for a year, he or she can participate." Thus 1 year--> participate.
I hope this helps to clear things up!
