Is the study buddy feature only for paying members?

For some reason, I cannot access the study buddy feature. Is the feature only for paying members?

@mchll.hhc Study Buddies is available to all students, including non-paid. Thanks for letting us know that you've been having problems with it! I checked it out, and there was a bug that came from the site upgrade to HTTPS. It made it harder for new students to sign up for study buddies - you had to manually enter your location, without the benefit of auto-detect.

It's fixed now, please try it again! You may need to do a force refresh to clear your cache.
