Any question that says: Choose the answer choice that matches the overall conclusion or something. Never have to "understand" the stimulus, but just locate the conclusion .
"Practice? We talking about practice? It's just practice. It's not a game, not a game, but practice." Something along those lines from a Hall of Famer basketball player haha.
I'm having it right now, I can't remember whether I even checked that I filled in the bubbles for all 5 sections haha. Just forget about it, it's not like we can do anything at this point.
Believe in yourself, and let the LSAT world play itself out.
I'd say take a break. You deserve it. You just wrote a 4 hour-ish test. Go play some games, exercise or whatever you do for fun. Come back to it 2-3 weeks later. That's just my two cents .
PS: No one knows how they did on the LSAT haha.
23 for LG, 26 for LR, 25 for LR, 27 for RC. The basic Everyone forget about how you did now. You guys all deserve a break, and whether or not you hit your target score, be proud of yourself for writing one of the hardest (in my opinion) standardize…
I can say RC was easier than normal. It wasn't as convoluted? LR was LR (maybe possible questions with some tricks). LG => First three was so easy I thought it was experimental. Then comes the computers. Do computers even get viruses anymore? hah…
I also had 2 LGs. I literally had 15 minutes for this game. I guessed every single question carefully. It was an absolute monster. I was fortunate enough to have it on my last section though... Coming from a guy who usually goes -0 in LG...
It's okay, that's just how it printed (same for me). You're fine Just make sure it isn't blurred out or anything.
If it is really bothering you, worse yet, bring a photo as a replacement.
1) Quickly skim (max 30 seconds) each passage and pick 3 you like the most.
2) Pick the 3 that has the most questions in total.
3) Find another method that helps you finish all 4 passages
I Hope you still guess the ones that you don't finish too!
Aim for the best you can be. Sure 170 is possible. Would human intelligence help? Of course it would. Some individuals think differently and the way the test is created.
But why stop at 170? Assuming you're just starting off, you will end up figur…
3-4 hours a day . At this point, I don't think I'm learning any more about the test (Sept.). Just trying to stay fresh every day and be on my game when the pressure is on! I take days off when I need to and feel like I'm not reading as I should.
Sometimes those longer questions can be solved in a minute. A lot of the long questions have what I call "fluff". These questions are ACTUALLY, sometimes way easier than the short ones. Short stimuli are actually quite difficult sometimes.
I'd say …
I know the feel. I'm actually going through this right now. Started from PT 38 -> high 160's, to low 170's in PT 50's, then back to mid160's in PT 60's. Does this mean I can't get a 170 on the real test? Heck no, I'm just going to keep trying and…
Taking September. Currently on PT 68. Got 10 more left to do (11 if you count PT 68 itself haha).
Just excited to test my skills after 8 months of grinding. Let's see how I do and execute under pressure!
Went from -10 to -12 in RC to -5 to -8.
L…
The passage isn't as convoluted... So if you aren't understanding them, it does sound like a burnout as mentioned from @"Cant Get Right"
LR is definitely more subtle. I'm slowly making the transition from the PT 50's to PT 60's.
RC I feel like got …
I know I'm burnt out when I start reading something and I've literally just read something. If I can't understand the stimulus (not due to it being convoluted or difficult), I know something is wrong. I take a few days rest, think about other things…
LR does a get bit different as you go further on-wards. Not necessarily harder, but different. You need to practice more of the questions in the PT range of 50-60s.
Obviously, it looks like your problem is with time. I'll be quite honest with you,…
There's a difference between being confident in your answers, reading answer choices incorrectly, or not understanding the stimulus. This is what I believe Blind Review is for. If given an UNLIMITED time, it should be100% of the case that you get th…
@quinnxzhang => This is correct!
Don't ever assume on the LSAT that something like a conclusion has to be in an answer choices as true. It does not have to include a conclusion for assumption questions. It can be premises, a random fact, somethin…
If I was in your position, I would consider if going to Law School next year (2017 cycle) is the only thing you want to do. I mean after your surgery (I hope it goes absolutely perfect and you come out wonderful), doing online courses right away isn…
Cambridge packets helped me understand the basics of each question type. However, I have realized the questions may differ a little bit as you get to the 50+ PTs.
I used them for drilling. Personally, I thought a lot of the older PTs (before 30) ha…
LR is a tricky little guy. Don't be so caught up on your mistakes. We are human after all.
For me, when I get LR questions incorrect, it's heavily due to not understanding the stimulus correctly or misinterpreting part of the stimulus. Both of thes…
First of all... forget what your friends tell you. They aren't the ones writing the test for you. Everyone works at the LSAT at a different pace. You take the test when you feel like you're ready to test yourself. If you feel that you have a solid g…
I think of Necessary Assumption as "subtle and weak missing premises". You are trying to locate an answer choice which makes the argument completely valid (no loose strings).
What I mean by "subtle and weak" is: Let's compare NA to Sufficient Assum…
Do you have access to PT 1 - 38? Whether it be the old Cambridge packets or from somewhere else?
When I started with LG, I started with the older PTs, and didn't time myself at all. I went for accuracy, how to set up games, look at ways that work fo…
