What the heck. Why is (nearly) everyone at Columbia getting wait listed, even when they have 170+ LSAT scores and a 3.6+ GPA's? I get YP, and an increased applicantpool etc etc...but this seems excessive.
I applied to Berkeley ED and got dropped into their regular applicantpool.
Is this a situation where I should write a LOCI or is that only for waitlisted candidates?

How do you know they admitted a 142? I'm just asking because my first attempt was not much better than that and I got denied to a bottom tiered school (that being said it was several years ago when law schools had a higher applicantpool).
