Thanks for bumping this thread. I was actually talking to a law school rep at a forum today about crafting a diversitystatement based on age and experience. Some schools may laugh that out of the room, but she said they'd welcome it.

Absolutely write a diversitystatement. Your experiences as a refugee are a part of who you are and your perspective will definitely add to the diversity of any schools student body.
As far as Im aware... i dont think so. Generally LGBTQ is a valid and strong diversity factor in a diversitystatement. But thats different from the URM factor in the admissions calculator which refers to race
Since you're not coming now from an economically disadvantaged family, I wouldn't put it in a diversitystatement but that's a great thing to point out in your personal statement.
