Yeah a 170 almost* guarantees a spot at a T14 unless you have a sub 3.0 GPA... and even then it does give you a fair shot at some of the lower ones if you ED. -

From some anecdotal evidence I've seen on TLS it seems they're more willing to throw money at super splitters than most other schools, so if I can't get in ED and secure that 50k a year I'm hoping I can still negotiate something for living expenses. -
