I've heard that for most schools, yourLSATscore is considered on a spectrum that is +/- 3 points, so you are nearly as competitive as someone who is 3 points above you. This was during a webinar from a dean of admission at a top 30 law school.
You can certainly take it after but yourLSATscore won't be released until the WS is approved. My advice is to take it ASAP. It isn't anything you need to prepare for. Might as well get it done so it doesn't hold up yourscore.
