It depends upon your LSACGPA; if you have a high GPA they probably wont care that much about your major. If you're a borderline candidate, then this major might tip you away from the accept and into the waitlist.

If your grades were fine during this period and you don't plan on writing a gpaaddendum, you could easily omit the specific time this occurred. Just write "during undergrad" or "during fall semester".
Yep, my AP credits also became unconverted hours and it's not an issue at all. They calculate your LSACGPA without consideration of those unconverted hours and no school will ask you about it.
