Are the preptest books you are using from LSAC older ones? The current prep tests have large margins like the ones printed from 7sage. The amount of space depends on the newness of the test.

Probably best to wait a while before retaking a preptest. PT's are just used to gauge how you're progressing, in terms of reasoning and time taking strategies.

I do a preptest every 2-3 days after work, and find I get the same score (or better) than in the AM on the weekends. As long as it's not a drastically different or skewed mark I'm sure it's fine!
