I think you should be weary when admissions say optional. When they say "optional", I don't think it usually is. I'd say write it unless you really can't think of anything and what you're writing sounds forced and insincere. -

Not doing even an optional interview is a big red flag. Not sure how Washington works, but for instance if you don't do the "optional" Kira interview for Cornell, you aren't getting in. Based on your stats, there's a good chance this is for YP. -

Stanford only marks it as RP and not the grade so hopefully I'm good, but if a law school is gonna reject me for a C I got as a freshman while my grades trended up, it probably isn't the place for me anyways :) thanks for the help guys!
