Jawan is a recent graduate from UCLA and is currently preparing to apply to law school. Before becoming a tutor at 7sage, Jawan spent 2 years working as a substitute teacher in every type of classroom, from kindergarten to AP Calculus, with an emphasis on special education and resource rooms.
Jawan wants to help students "demystify" the LSAT by making it feel familiar and approachable. His approach to tutoring revolves around accessibility and individuality; he believes not only that anybody can master the LSAT, but that there's no one-size-fits-all method. His experience growing up with ADHD, combined with his time as a special education teacher, taught him the vitality of an individualized approach to education. Jawan meets students where they're at, takes extra care to understand their points of view, then tailors his lessons accordingly, helping each student develop their own patented approach to the LSAT's trickiest questions.
When he's not tutoring, Jawan can often be found indulging his passion for movies, whether at an arthouse theater or on the set of a local indie production.
