I am so frustrated and confused. I scored a 168 in June and since have consistently scored 170-174 on practice tests. However, both the August and October tests I scored 164. This makes no sense to me- are the currently released practice tests outdated? I have anxiety but not enough that it could be explained entirely by that. What is going on??

Kind of similar experience, my diagnostic was a 166 and my PTs were above 170, but I got a 164 the first time I took the test (in June) and then a 168 in August. It's frustrating but from my experience I think the gap was from some hard to control factors (anxiety, less sleep as a result) but ALSO from what I perceive as a shift in the LR questions in the new tests-- more tricky conditional logic, parallel flaw questions, etc. which are my weakness. So I'm just drilling a lot of "Hardest" level questions and hoping for the best at this point.
How are you guys going to be working on this/studying to account for this? I feel like I don't know what to do next/where to go from here, especially since we PT well.
Testing stress will generally drop your score a few points, especially if you're taking it in an unfamiliar environment. I would also make sure you're taking your PTs in a similar format-same break time, same time of day, etc. The higher PT numbers are more similar to the real LSAT tests since they have more logic games style questions, so prioritize taking those!
Had the same thing happen. My PTs ranged 172-176 before October on both 7Sage and LawHub platforms (so def not a tech issue) taken in many different environments and I got a 164.
I also have anxiety and I'm having the same problem. My PT average was around 173 and I got a 166 in October. When I took the test in October, I felt like my brain wasn't able to process any information and I wasn't comprehending what I was reading because of my test anxiety. Maybe anxiety had more of an impact than you thought.
