⚠️ Announcement

Changes to Study Plan length

You may have noticed some activities shifting around in your study plan. I know that can be frustrating, especially if a day you'd already completed is now showing incomplete items. I want to explain what's happening so you're not caught off guard.

We removed a few lessons from the Conditional and Set Logic and Logic of Intersecting Sets modules. (They're still available in the Lesson Library (formerly known as the Core Curriculum) if you want them; they're just no longer part of study plans.) This makes your plan a bit shorter, so later activities get pulled forward. That's why a completed day might now show new items. It's picking up activities from the next day.

One more heads-up: we'll be adding some Adaptive Drills to study plans in the coming week, so you may notice another shift then too. I wanted to let you know now so it doesn't feel like your progress keeps changing out from under you.

We really appreciate your patience, and I'm sorry for the disruption.

Once the additional drills come in, your overall schedule should look more like how it did a few days ago.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, it will look like you're behind. You're not actually behind though! I recommend just proceeding 1 day at a time even if the activities you're working on look like they're for a previous day.

  • I'm noticing that I'm no longer able to adjust the time for my drills to take my accommodation into consideration? Will there be a fix for this? It's a huge problem in my study journey.

@michaylarls Same issue, thanks for flagging it :) . I updated my accommodations in my profile preferences to reflect the extra time I am getting but I am still having this problem.

@RachelBag thanks for the feedback; I'll pass this along and I think some kind of fix will be available.

@michaylarls I inquired about this issue as soon as I encountered it and was told that the practice block drills now start automatically due to the recent updates to the Study Plan. You are able to indicate your accommodation (150% or 200% time) in profile preferences, but this only applies to drills in the Study Plan that have not already been generated (so if, like me, you already began a practice block drill not realizing the change, that drill can only be taken in standard time even if you delete it from your practice history and restart). I do not have an accommodation, but as someone just starting practice blocks, I much preferred taking drills untimed to focus on strategy and stim/answer choice understanding, and I am struggling to see the value of rushing through a drill and reviewing practice block drill questions marked incorrect due to running out of time when I am still multiple months out from testing.

@heebeegeebees Thanks for sharing this—I understand your concern.

I’ll pass your feedback along to our product team, especially your preference for more flexibility (like untimed drills).

Regarding the timing issue, our tech team is currently working on a fix for a bug where deleted study plan drills, when restarted, still retain their previous timing even after updating the timing accommodation settings.

We’ll keep you posted once it’s resolved—thanks again for your patience!

  • @Kevin_Lin Will there be any changes into the questions interface to mimic the upcoming LSAT interface in the upcoming months?

Why are those modules being removed

@Jresen The modules are still there! We just removed from the study plans some lessons that involved issues that were both rare + very difficult (embedded conditionals, the rule/exception framework for understanding complex conditionals involving "unless").

The amount of business development that 7Sage is doing is very impressive. I wonder what the platform would be worth if the founders decided to sell it. @J.Y.Ping
