How do you use our timing filters?

On practice result pages and the all questions page, we offer "Timing vs. target" and "practice timing" filters:

Do you use these? Which ones? When do you use them, and why? I'm especially eager to hear from users who have timing accommodations. Thanks!

  • I have never used these, to be honest I don't understand how to improve your time on a specific question, even after seeing how much time was needed for it

@h2h2027 @elena @Magexx14 Soon we are going to scale target time to your accommodations. Look for it!

I think the concept is very helpful. Time is a major issue for this test- if you can see where you are spending too much time, you can work on seeing the correct answer faster. This allows you to have extra time to go back or to spend on other questions that need it!

However, I do think being able to change the target time for those with accommodations would be very helpful. I would utilize this feature a lot more if that were the case. Right now- I just scroll and see which Q’s I spent the most time on overall and use that to influence my studying topics.

As I am seeing these posts about features lately, I think it is clear that many users aren’t aware of features or don’t know how to utilize them to improve their studying/scores. Perhaps you guys should do a series or marketing to highlight available features, what they do and how they can be utilized.

@elena agreed! the target time doesn't adjust for ppl with accommodations. The target/timing's default is based on the standard test taker time. I wish they'd adjust it for accommodations

While I have never used the filters specifically, I find the timing analytics column (for individual questions) to be particularly helpful when I am reviewing sections and PTs.

I honestly didn't know that this filter option was available. But being able to sort to "slower than standard," for example, is a great feature I wish I knew about before!
