I emailed LSAC as soon as I realized I couldn't schedule my argumentative writing sample (I have timing accommodations and need a live proctor) and I still haven't heard back... my test is Saturday... Tried calling the tech support line and they couldn't really help... but the link is just straight up not showing up for me on LSAC, LMAO I'm freaking out because I kind of need my score to get released on time so that I can figure out if I need to take Oct or not (I'm registered for both) any guidance would be useful! I'm going to try calling again tomorrow and see if maybe I can get a better answer.
If I get my arg writing done soon after the test what are my odds of getting my score on time?

Hey! I actually got mine cancelled a week before the score release and I redid it and got mine back in time so don't worry! another friend of mine did it 4 days before and got it back the day after the score release. Your so okay!!

I took the September 2026 LSAT and received an email from LSAC saying that Argumentative Writing opened on September 1. The email says a “Launch LSAT Argumentative Writing” button should appear in JD Services.
However, my account says “Available — Please complete as soon as possible,” lists September 29 as the available date, and the Launch Link column is completely blank. Since September scores are supposed to be released on September 30, waiting until September 29 doesn’t make sense.
I’ve contacted LSAC, but I’m worried this is an account or registration error. Is anyone else who took a recent LSAT seeing the same date? If this happened to you, how did you get the launch link fixed?
@strawberryicecream omg I just realized mine says the 29th too! That's so weird! Like I said in the post im gonna give LSAC a call tomorrow and see if they can figure it out but if anyone has been able to fix this that would be great to know. Ill report back if I learn anything.

I did mine around 2 weeks after the test and got my score back on time.
@Rena12345 thats especially reassuring, hopefully ill be able to get it figured out soon since LSAC has usually responded within 14 days everytime ive emailed them before. so if my experience is anything like yours I should hopefully be fine!

That's really stressful, I'm so sorry! In my case, I had taken my writing sample after my official test and got approved in just about 2 days; test on June 3rd, writing sample taken on the evening of June 6th (Saturday evening), woke up to an approval of writing sample on June 8th (Monday morning). My score released June 24th, way after I had been approved, so I was in the clear. I think I received my sample approval back a little sooner than most, but even then so, samples are approved generally really quickly. I'd be willing to bet that so long as you can schedule the writing test more than a week prior to your score being released, you wouldn't have to worry. We don't have actual turnaround-time statistics, but I would image that most people have their samples cleared in less than a week!
Best of luck, and though I understand that you need to get your score back ASAP so that you know to drop/prep for the October test, do your best to focus more on the test itself. Things have a habit of working out, and you will be okay, no matter what!

I've read in discussion posts that quite a few people got their scores back in 2-3 days. Don't worry! Try to keep it off your mind until after your test, so it doesn't hinder your performance. Most importantly, good luck!

i didnt do my arg writing until after my test and i got it back within 2-3 days of finishing it so plenty of time before score release. In general i hear most people say just do it in the day or two after your test and barring any issues or outlier situations you should be fine
