Don't know where to start on your personal statement?
Want to make sure you're telling the right story before you hit submit?
Want to talk over your application with someone who's helped dozens of people get into their dream school?
This week, we're lowering the price of our Essay Workshop to $99.
Here's how it works:
Use the code: ESSAYWORKSHOP99 at checkout
Limit one per user.
This special is only while availability lasts! If we get swamped, we might need to shut it down earlier than a week from now.
How it works: Send us a draft of your essay, an outline, or just some brainstorming notes when you sign up, we'll read it, then come prepared to talk you through which improvements we think you should make -- whether that's line edits or planning an entirely new topic.

Given that the submission is a google doc, can we still make edits after booking? I plan to book for end of November, and want to put in some more work beforehand. Thanks in advance!!
@fssilver Yes but I would stop making edits 48 hours beforehand.
@EthanMadore Thank you!!
Will they go over my essay during the meeting? Or is this more like a general writing tips and info session ?
@ArmaanRizvi You send us your essay when you book the meeting, we read it, and then come prepared to talk about it. If we think your topic and approach works, we'll do line edits with you. If we think you need more revisions, we'll help you come up with a new outline or brainstorm on the call.
Is it only the 45-minute live meeting, or does it also include back-and-forth draft exchanges and a final round of edits afterward?
@kai Just the meeting! But we get a lot done in that time.
@EthanMadore Thanks! Is there an option to send my draft ahead of time so the consultant reviews it before we meet? Or will they review it with me during the call?
@kai Yes! We actually require that you give us your essay beforehand -- though if you don't have a draft yet, you can just upload some brainstorming notes.
I plan on continuously editing my essay all the up till the scheduled appointment (Nov 23). Will the consultant be able to read the most up to date version or will they only read the version I submit when I book the appointment? Thanks
@Kyle180 @EthanMadore Can we get some advice for the above? Thank you!
@Kyle180 If you changed the Google doc, it's very unlikely that your consultant will look at it earlier than the day before.
hi!!! would this be beneficial for those applying in future cycles (quick look over resume/activities and talk about good angles to write from etc) or is this more for those with a draft made already? thanks in advance!
@isojess1 Either one! Our consultants work with people for the entire cycle, whether that means putting together a great last minute application or brainstorming months in advance, so we'll meet you where you are.
@EthanMadore thank you!
literally the day after ontario apps are due😩
@Rubyjesuslover Oh, Canada!
@EthanMadore if I had a dollar for the amount of times I've said that
wowowowow what a blessing. ty guys
was waiting for this again! 😌
so happy this is happening again!!
@new_cheese Thanks, Cheese!
Is this only for personal statements or supplements as well
@lollipoppy Whatever you want!
What’s the exact date this sale ends?
@Momo123 Whenever we hit capacity! It could be later today.
@EthanMadore I am trying to sign up for it but can't
Could this be used on Perspective Statements (Optional/Diversity)? Or its only for Personal Statements?
@RosiesDiner Definitely!
@EthanMadore Thank you so much for offering this! 2 questions:
Can this be applied to AO office hours?
Can we use this to purchase a session now, but book a time later?
How long are the sessions?
@niaxain 45 minutes but we read your essay beforehand.
I plan on doing the mock application review. Would this be redundant? (do they do essay recommendations in the app review)
@STS Mock Review is kind of like seeing how well you did with a panel of impartial judges. This is like seeing a mechanic to help you work on your car. Both have their place, depending on where you are!
@EthanMadore Thanks Ethan! It seems like the essay workshop could be a valuable intermediary step. On a side note it is a bit surreal to see you responding to this because I am at this moment watching your podcast and you are wearing a pilgrim hat (witch lawyer) and that is how I am picturing you writing this.
@STS I haven't taken the costume off in three days.
