I have an old GRE score from June 2021 that was required to enter into a grad program (just had to take it, score didnt matter). that being said the score is kinda abysmal. do I have to report it? esp since my lsat scores are recent (sept & nov of this year)

I am in a strange situation. I have a decent GPA and LSAT score, but I am only applying to in-state schools, all which happen to be pretty competitive. So, my GPA is a 3.77 and my LSAT is a 156. Here are the stats for the school I am applying to:

Median GPA 3.87 (25th and 75th percentile between 3.70 and 3.95) And Median LSAT 165 (25th and 75th percentile between 161 and 167)

I applied last year with roughly the same scores, slightly lower GPA and an LSAT of 155, and I was waitlisted and eventually not admitted. I had a really strong personal statement and resume, which I think helped compensate for my scores. Anyways, reapplying this year with my 156 (which came out today, super bummer on this.)

Anyways, all to say, should I write an addendum for my 156? I think my reasoning would just be lack of resources to low-income students and within my specific university. For some background, I aged out of foster care and have been funding my legal journey on my own. I also own my own home (I am 23 years old), which is super expensive and the reason I cannot devote more money to LSAT resources or applying to out of state schools.

What now? Addendum? Not apply this year at all and start studying for next year? Desperately in need of advice. Thank you all! And I hope the best for all of you in your legal journeys!

My top choice is University of South Carolina since I want to live there and the law school facilities themselves and faculty are amazing. But I went undergrad at University of Kentucky so I will be applying there too, as well as FSU since I am a Florida native and want to keep my options open. I'm wrapping up my Master's degree and I have some extra space in my schedule next semester. I've been planning to take an easy, intro-level course in a subject outside of my degree to get myself to the full-time hour requirement, but I'm not sure how that will look to law schools. Do y'all think they'll view it as me slacking in my last semester? Should I add another graduate level course instead?

I took 2 leaves of absences when my mom died but she was sick my entire college career which deeply affected my GPA. Do I include it all into the character and fitness response or do I write an addendum as well.

I work as a research coordinator and have been heavily involved in a lot of research projects. Should I keep a completely separate page with the research project titles? Maybe titles research projects or something? Just wanted to know how anyone else with research experience listed it on their resumes. Thanks!

Hi guys- I'm applying to a law school that asks you to list each educational institution attended, along with the GPA for each. I have two questions:

For the GPA for my undergraduate institution, should I list my LSAC GPA or transcript GPA? My LSAC GPA is higher so I would rather do that, but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

I attended a pre-college program, as well as an abroad program (run by my college). My GPA for both the pre-college program credit and abroad program credit are reflected on my transcript and factored into my overall undergraduate GPA. Do I need to include the GPAs with my entries for the pre-college program and abroad program on the law school app?

I've been studying for 2 years on the LSAT averaging 136 and have used the loophole book, 7 sage, tutoring, and lsat hub with practice test each week. Can I just apply to law school with my score because it's not increasing honestly. My GPA is 3.7, and I'm at a Ivy grad school hoping to start law school fall 2027.

Hello Everyone, I recently signed up to take the LSAT in November this year. I am confused though because it doesn't tell me a specific day to take the test or a time. I just generalizes it and I am very confused, trying to figure it out. Also I noticed on the LSAC website they offer this thing called CAS, is this needed? I was confused on what that was as well because financing everything by myself is VERY expensive for the time being.

TLDR: When do they release the test days? Do I have to check once a week or something to sign up again? And is the CAS required for Law School Applications.

Hi! Just a shower thought I had but, do some URMs get a higher boost in admission chances than other URMs? For example, would a Native American get a higher boost than someone who's Hispanic, or are all URM groups given the same boost?

Cornell is currently my first choice and I am planning on applying early decision. My LSAT is at their median score, but my GPA is lower than Cornell's median (I have a 3.81). Will it be easier for an applicant like me to get accepted now that its ratings have dropped? What should I do to improve my chances?

I know that being part of and a leader in a community especially in undergraduate studies is something the law school admission bodies like, but Im unsure of whether to not add that I was a member of a fraternity or not. On the pro-keeping it side, I did have leadership roles both formal and informal within the fraternity, and was a part of an organization that enphasized philanthropic work, but on the cons side, being in a fraternity is something that im not sure whether these admissions bodies see negatively or not. On the anti-adding it side, the pro would be that it would be less likely hurt me whether my fraternity gets in trouble in the future or the admissions board is anti-fraternity, but on the cons side of this too, if I omit that I was a part of a fraternity, I dont really have anything else that ties my into a leadership role, member of the community, or a volunteer while in undergraduate life. What do you guys think I should do? Do admissions boards want to see a person add that theyre part of a fraternity or disassociate myself from it now before application time and my senior year commences.
