I submitted my application to William & Mary today, however, I just realized that I made a small mistake in my "Why William & Mary Law" essay. I referred to Williamsburg as being a "highly-populated" and "thriving" city, even though it only has about 15,000 people... I went there for undergrad and somehow misremembered it as having more people than it really does. Anyway, it's a small yet noticeable mistake. Should I resend my essay?

Title says it all. I live in Canada and 7Sage provides a great ranking system (that also estimates your chances of acceptance) for law schools in the US but none for Canada. Does anyone have more information on Canadian law schools?

Hey everyone, I have written a personal statement that I am very happy with and wanted to get it checked over by one of the consultants at 7sage just to get their take on it. Has anyone used either the single essay edit or hourly consultation? Not sure which one to choose.

I submitted my transcripts to LSAC about a month ago. They have all been received without a problem. However, the OLSAS website shows that I have no transcripts on file. Is this normal, or do I need to call them?

Hey, sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn’t find a thread on it. While filling out one of my LOR’s I noticed it asked me for recommenders title. I was using my boss ive had for 4ish years. I had two questions. Should I use my boss as a recommendation, and his title is Store Manager, it’s not very prestigious should I add his title or leave it blank? thank you in advance

My university hands out A+ (on official transcripts) but it's counted as a 4.0 and counts it the same as an A. When LSAC does my CAS report, will they count the A+ on my transcript as a 4.33 or use my school's grading guidelines and still mark it as 4.0?

I am currently in the process of reworking my resume to tailor it for law school. I am about to enter my final year of undergrad, and plan to apply this fall.

Just wondering about two main things:

What should we include on our resume about highschool? Just the school and the year? Honour roll/awards in graduating year? Any clubs? I was not planning on mentioning all clubs/extra curriculars, but I did found/participate in one club all the way through high school, so I am wondering if it is worth including.

Can we include items that are planned for the upcoming school year? For example, if I have already joined a club this summer and will be beginning to ramp up my involvement in the fall, should I write about my expected duties?

I'm wondering if anyone has advice to address a gap in my resume. I separated from the military in April but due to my husband also being active duty and us currently being stationed overseas I did not apply for any jobs. We were originally supposed to move back to the states in July which is the main reason why I didn't apply for jobs but his unit just extended our tour another year. I plan on applying for jobs not that we are staying longer but I will still have the gap. During those three months I focused on healing (I was medically separated) and studying for the LSAT. I plan on adding an addendum to my resume to explain the gap but I'm nervous it might affect my chances of getting into my school of choice. Any advice, or just some reassurance that the gap won't affect my chances too severely would be really helpful.

I understand that applicants with foreign undergraduate degrees do not fare well in admissions, but would an engineer with two years of experience in the US be a plus? I plan to apply to schools that rank from 70 to 100 (LSAT 150~160).

I was hoping someone could help clarify a questions that I have.

I would like to apply to law school as early in the cycle as possible (not early admissions). I took the August LSAT and was hoping to use that score for apps but I don't think it was at the score range I would have liked granted all the technical issues. If I were to use my August score to apply but make a note that I am planning on retaking the test in January, would my applications still be counted as if I applied early in the cycle or as if I were applying in January since that is when the score would be updating?

Hey everyone,

Would love any advice about how to strategically approach this application cycle. It's my first time so I'm a bit nervous. The goal is to get into a T14 to study technology law. I work full-time and am willing to wait until next cycle if a top school isn't in the cards for me.

My numbers:

I know admissions is mostly interested in the numbers, and I'm in between 25th and 50th percentile in both categories for the T14. My absolute dream would be to attend Northwestern (also applying to Georgetown, Duke, UVA, and Penn, still deciding on the rest). My question is - would it be better to apply Northwestern Early Decision with what I have now or retake the LSAT in November? Do I have even a slight shot?

Hi all-

I am hoping to negotiate for scholarships with one of the schools I am admitted to. It is equally ranked with another school that offered me a partial scholarship, so I think I have good grounds to go off of. Is it common practice to do this with a formal written request, or can I ask via email or even over the phone?

Just wondering would part time bachelor studies affect our JD admissions?

I only have 5 classes left for my last two semesters and will take part time studies during the last two semesters. This is due to that I have transfer credits from Quebec CEGEP (College).

Anybody familiar with this issue? Would part time studies affect my admission to Canadian law schools?

How do I see what my GPA is on LSAC? I heard that there can be discrepancy between your GPA from your degree granting institution's transcript and any other institutions' transcripts if you took a course there during high school.

I'm from Mongolia and I currently live in Texas.

I tried my best to find and connect with a Mongolian lawyer practicing in Texas to get some advice. But I couldn't find any. Only found two lawyers but they both live in different states.

In my diversity statement, should I emphasize where I'm from and how not a lot of us go to law school in the US (how I may be the first one in TX)?

Or would that make me a weaker candidate? (for example, the admission officer thinking I won't make it through to the finishing)
