Hey all

So my October LSAT is in the grand Hyatt NYC hotel, which is in midtown. I’m coming from NJ so I’m taking the NJ transit to Penn station. I’m thinking I might need my phone in this journey to use google maps as I make my way to the test center. Is there a place I can put my phone at like the hotel before I enter the test cite? Or should I make the commute from NJ to NYC without my phone, and just memorize the directions in my head?

Also, if Anyone had experience testing in grand Hyatt nyc or at hotel, would love any feedback or advice. Thank you!

I am extremely stressed out also I have been also a brain fog due to to studying.

I have been extremely stressed because I always get most of the LR questions 16-26 wrong and only few of them right. I don’t know why this is a pattern and I am aware that they can be harder questions. I feel that even after going over the course it did help me a lot no doubt ! I need to know is this normal ?

Do I keep practicing till I get them ?

Anyone been through this ?

Just finished 63 and am looking for a BR partner. Anyone just recently finished this test or looking to go over some questions? If you havent taken this test yet Im willing to wait a few days and then BR.

if you literally guessed on every question, and there are 5 answer choices, according to calculator ,your score would be around a 124, not a 120 correct????

So you could pretty much guarantee that the bottom is 124 not 120??

Im not planning on guessing obviously but im just wondering.

Around how many PTS until you found you hit your peak?

Hi I've never taken the digital LSAT and I have heard the light from the screen bothers some people. Is this true? Can you adjust the light settings on the tablet? What are some ways to beat this difficulty? I've heard of special glasses that filter out the bothersome light from computer screens. Thanks!!!!!!

I've had two digital PT results (both recently taken, and both of which still have the results under the individual test page in the curiculum, and are listed under the score lsat tab; the missing tests are 47 and 50) disappear from my LSAT Analytics trends and question table page; both we're viewable as recently as 12ish hours ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello all, I initially started studying around June and was originally testing at 144. I started the Princeton Review program and got up to 154 but had to ultimately push my September test date to November. Any chance of getting to 160 area by November? any recommendations on which program would be best? I heard alot of great things from 7sage.

I took LSAT in 2008ish...there doesn't seem to be a record of it. I created a new account etc. There doesn't seem to be any trace of it that I can find. However im sure it is linked to my SS number somewhere in the ether. Do I need to worry about this at all??

This weekend I sent about 15 emails to alumni of various schools I'm applying to. I'm hoping to gain some advice from them and maybe a pearl or two that I can use in my Why X essays.

I've gotten six responses already, which is more that I expected to receive! Everyone so far has been very warm and willing to get on the phone with me for 20 minutes, so I have a bunch of interviews coming up in the next few days!

Because my outreach has been pretty successful (so far) and because I was really nervous about doing it, I wanted to post my process here, in case a step-by-step guide might help assuage anyone else's nerves.

Here's what I did:

1) On LinkedIn, searched for the law school itself

2) Visited their alumni list

3) Narrowed the list by geography: I chose to see only those who work in the city I plan to work in after graduation (side note: three of my schools had 0 alumni listed as living in my city of choice, so that's food for thought)

4) Narrowed it further by selecting only the alumni who listed law firms as their employer (rather than government, etc).

5) Made a list of the recent graduates

6) Googled them to learn about their firm and what kinds of projects they work on

Bonus: I had originally intended to message folks on LinkedIn, but I realized as I began to google the alumni that most of their firms listed each attorney's email address publicly. So I emailed them instead!

Hi! So I finally took the LSAT writing portion and all went well, except now under status it says "exam initiated." This strikes me as really odd...shouldn't it say "exam submitted" or "exam completed" while I await review from LSAC. I'm very concerned that it was in fact not submitted. Anyone else run into this?

Ive been studying since June, on and off. I would say Ive studied for about three of those months.

Went from 156 post CC diagnostic. Recently scored 164 on PT 57. BRing about 170-172. Is a goal score of 168-170 unrealistic? Im thinking March LSAT but not too set, I just want to be able to apply in the Fall 2020 cycle.

My study schedule is usually Monday PT Tuesday BR 2 sections plus maybe do an old LR or RC section and FP some games

Wednesday same as Tuesday. Thursday get my score watch the video explanations for all the questions I missed or the hard ones.

Friday+Saturday work on weaknesses from older PTs.

Sunday Rest or do a section. I also try to do games everyday somehow, even if it is just one or two.

What do you all think? Is March realistic?

i took lsat in 2008 and had a complete anxiety attack whilst the person next to me was incessantly tapping their pencil. I had to walk out...and well i think you know what the rest of that story is. Please tell me ear plugs are allowed. or am i going to have crumble scratch paper and ball it up in my ears???

So my timed PT's are around 152-155 and I'm BR'ing around 160-161. Currently scheduled for the October test but having second thoughts on it since my goal score is a 160. I'm thinking of going ahead with the October test and probably take it again January 2020. Thoughts?

Hey guys! I just bought the Top Tier watch for LSAT. Since LSAT is now digital and it displays the time, will it be useful to prep with the watch or should I rather get used to running time on the screen? I have not developed my time-cutter strategy nor really used the watch. Thank you!

I live in providence, i searched for locations as far as boston...and they were all full!!! When and how will i know where my testing center is??? I literally live 5 mins from a testing location and its FULL. HELP!!!

So the last 10 days of my life has been a nightmare. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and I spent the last 6 days in the hospital 24/7. My parents don’t speak English so they rely on me for all communications.

I was planning on taking the LSAT on October. But each day, there’s a new task I need to take care of/ besides getting less than 4 hrs of sleep per night.

I’m super drained but at the same time stressed because I graduated June 2018 and am planning to apply this year. I feel like if I postpone for another year, life will happen and I’m fearful of losing motivation/ not getting there.

My score isn’t one I’m proud of. The latest exam I had around a 158. But with everything going on in my life right now, I have been unable to concentrate or focus. I doubt I could push for a higher one til October.

So, my question is: do you guys think I should apply and hope for the best? Hope that an LSAT score addendum would allow for me to explain my current situation or is it best to delay another year?

I pretty much have everything else such as PS, DS, why statements, transcript, resume ready.

As a side note, I had a full time job during the past year + a part-time job + taking care of my parents here and there.

4 months ago I quit my full time to have more time to study and that’s when I was actually able to improve.

What are the drawbacks/ benefits of each scenario?

Anything you guys think or have experienced with would be greatly appreciated!

My initial idea is to take a full PT and then open up another test and just take one section of it, but that seems kind of inefficient. Does anyone else have better ideas about how to take a 5 section test with the digital tester?

For those great scorers in the high 160s, and 170s, did you get there through getting your blind review extremely high? Or eventually being able to close the gap between BR and timed tests? Personally, Im BRing around 170-172, and scoring around 164-165 right now. Not sure where to go from here.

Hi all I am new here and I am hoping someone could give me some advice please!

So I have been studying for the LSAT using Kaplan, power-score and I occasionally used some 7sage videos of off Youtube. I still struggle for some odd reason with N.A and S.A. I understand the difference between the two and when I read the question stem I understand which is N.A and which is S.A but for some odd reason I still struggle to understand what to look for in the answer choices.
