Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask for some pointers on how to best use the 7Sage curriculum after having already completed a full Kaplan Course. I feel like I understand LR foundations pretty well and need the most help in LG and RC. I've taken 8 full length PTs and I've also done timing sections from a handful of other tests.

Is it better to start from scratch with 7Sage's full curriculum or skip to the video sections that target my weak areas? If you switched to 7Sage from another test prep provider, what did you do?

Hello! I just took PT1, and the questions on it seemed easier than the ones I've seen on later tests. (This is my subjective judgement that may have no relation to reality.) I'm just wondering if there is any possibility that the tests have become more difficult over time, and PT1 seemed easier because it actually WAS easier. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Have decided to jump from KhanAcademy to 7Sage and eager to run an analysis on prep tests, but the prep test I took at Khan, which supposedly matches up to Test 66, isn't transferring 1:1 - the various sections are out of order. Should I 1) just enter the answers from left to right columns (which seems wrong, because the number of questions don't mesh) or 2) enter the answers in corresponding columns (i.e. LR from Khan goes into LR at 7Sage) or 3) is this not a 1:1 test and is merely something KhanAcademy formulated on its own, thus creating an imperfect correspondence with 7Sage's Test 66?

I hit my target score today thanks to the help I got from your platform. I used Power Score (online course and bibles) among others and 7Sage just really made sense, the live classes were the huge help for me. It was as close as I could come to my own tutor. Thank you so much and to everyone studying, keep at it, you CAN do this!!

Hi everyone,

While you’ve been blind-reviewing, Foolproofing and thinking more about the word “unless” than anyone would have believed possible, J.Y. and I have been on a internetgalactic quest for the best teacher in the GRE universe. We found Andrew Colford, who got a near-perfect GRE score (169Q/170V), who (doesn’t want me to tell you) that he’s appeared in movies and TV, and who JY’d J.Y. in a math lesson.

If you’re thinking about applying to law school (or any school) with the GRE, check out our upcoming class. We’re limiting it to ten students on a first-come, first-serve basis. We welcome learners at all levels: Andrew will give individualized homework assignments for students who need extra help or an extra challenge.

What: Comprehensive GRE Class

When:

  • Saturdays from 1 to 3 p.m. ET
  • Every week from July 15 through September 16 except for August 5 and September 2 (see full schedule)
  • Price: $599. The Official Guide to the GRE and ETS's official math practice book are included.

Where: This is a live, remote class. We’ll meet on Zoom. Recordings will be available to students of the class.

    What to expect:

  • Lively discussions
  • A combination of theory and GRE trickology (i.e., the “right” way and the fast way to do a problem)
  • Weekly homework assignments
  • Sign up here.

When doing the drills and problem sets I find myself obviously doing worse with the tougher questions (4/5 degree difficulty). Since I have no prior attempts on the LSAT and have only taken one PT, I am unsure how common these very difficult questions are on the real test. Can someone with prior test experience explain the difficulty variation on the exam? Is it a lot of 4/5 difficulty questions or usually 1/2/3 difficulty with some tougher (4/5) questions mixed in?

I log in using my correct email and password, but the app on my Ipad and iPhone will not log on. It says "try again" but I log in on my computer and it works just fine.

I noticed that I don't manage time well in my tests, how can I improve? I end up skipping loads of questions when I'm running out of time and it's frustrating. I have a pretty solid understanding of LSAT fundamentals now but because of my time management, I can't budge the 150s. Meanwhile, in my blind review or untimed tests, I score in the 160s. Please help. My LSAT is in 7 weeks and I don't know what to do anymore.

Hello everybody, I recently took a drill and noticed that I got one of the answers incorrect because I didn’t know what one of the words meant. I usually don’t have this issue since 98% of the time I’m keeping up with the LSAT’s diction. I don’t want this mistake to happen again so I’m reaching out to anyone who is aware of a list of LSAT vocab that can reduce the odds of this happening again. If anyone could aid me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is anyone having trouble with the 7sage website lately? It often takes forever to load when trying to create a new problem set and sometimes doesn't load at all. The issue is not my wifi nor my computer as I have been on different devices/networks.

Anyone have good tips or software to expand your vocabulary? I have been keeping a running list of definitions of unfamiliar words I have encountered, yet I would still like to expand my vocabulary outside of the LSAT

So, I paid for Prep Plus out of pocket last July. I was approved for the LSAC fee waiver that also covers a year of Prep Plus this past February. Obviously since I had a current Prep Plus subscription in effect, I didn't get to take advantage of activating my free subscription. My year subscription end date is coming up next week. Since I wasn't able to ever get the free year, will LSAC cover this upcoming subscription with my fee waiver approval on file? I sent LSAC an email a few days ago and never received a response.

I know that Prep Plus is changing names next month, but I don't think that will be relevant.

Hi! This is my first discussion post. I was just wondering if someone would be able to help me better understand the significant gap between my Timed and BR Scores. For example, I recently took one of the PT35+ tests and scored 145 (timed, 35/75) and 165 (BR, 60/75). Does anyone have any tips on how to improve under timed conditions? Whether it's practicing to read faster, minimizing distractions, etc.

    Hey 7Sagers,

There's some significant updates LSAC is implementing to their Prep Plus subscription.

Starting July 1, Prep Plus will be transitioning to a new brand name - LawHub Advantage. With this new identity, LSAC will be increasing the cost of their subscription from $99 to $115/year.

However, if you choose to sign up or renew your Prep Plus subscription before July 1 (before it becomes LawHub Advantage), you can do so at LSAC's current price of $99. This pricing will cover you for an additional year: https://www.lsac.org/lawhub

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment on this forum post, and we'll do our best to help!

As I am going through the curriculum, I am nervous that I will forget past lessons and skills learned. How can I make sure I am keeping up with every skill as I add more and more to my plate. For example, I am currently on Weakening Questions but I want to make sure I don't forget Logic, MSS Questions, and Main Point Questions. Do I just do practice sets everyday? Or what else?

Last week I scored a 179 on a PT in the 70's. The score completely blindsided me as my previous highest score was a 170 and I'd been scoring in the high 160's for the past three PTs. I am of course very excited about this score but I am panicking about maintaining it. I haven't taken another preptest since but I've been drilling logical reasoning in the 80's (old practice tests I took over a year ago) this week and my LR score is dropping significantly. I typically score -2 to -0 but in these early 80's PT's I'm scoring -4 to -6. I am panicking about my next PT score dipping back into the 160's. I need a 170-high to offset my low GPA and even though I know I should feel confident about scoring a 179 on a practice test it's honestly made my anxiety worse.

Can anyone give some advice on how to handle score drops in the 80's? I am taking the August test and feel like time is running out to prepare effectively. Also, any advice you can give on managing stress? This is the most stressed I've ever felt in this process and I've been studying for a long, long time.
