I took the July LSAT and am looking to do the writing section, however when I go to the LSAT Writing section there is not a link to launch for the July LSAT that I took. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is it better to take the September LSAT if I want to enroll for the fall of 2015? Or would it matter if I change my test date to the December LSAT? Do schools give all of their scholarship money to their first applicants?
It can be in person or online..
Is the scaled scoring for flex style practice tests accurate? I'm finding discrepancies between my tests but can't tell whether they are due to different scales for different PTs or a problem with the scoring algorithm when using the Flex option. I'm trying to get an accurate idea of what my score might be!
We have three people showing up at an upcoming study session at Gangnam on Wednesday, July 9 from 8:00 pm-11:00 pm. One member has an official score of 172 and the other member is scoring in mid-150s. We are looking to hit at least 175+ on the LSAT. The fee for using a study cafe meeting room is only 1,900 KRW per person for each hour. We do not make a profit out of this study session. Please send me a direct message if you are interested in joining the study next week.
In addition to the June 2018 study group, I'm hoping to find a study buddy who can Skype or meet in person in the NYC area. I'm currently studying full-time, and I would like to discuss questions from PTs (most likely based on the June 2018 Study Group schedule) and/or other PTs/sections that I would like to review in more depth. We could also share general and specific question type strategies. Please send me a PM, if you are interested. We can decide if our score ranges, objectives, and schedules are compatible.
I took the July LSAT Flex yesterday and am now anxiously awaiting score release in two weeks. I am wondering, does anyone know when we have to take the writing portion by? Can I take it after scores are released? Or do I need to take it sometime in the next two weeks?
Hi, does anyone know if you withdraw before they make a decision, if they'll still have access to my files and if they'll pull them up in the next cycle, even though I would've withdrawn my application before they get a chance to look at it during this cycle?
Hey guys! I'm prepping for the Oct LSAT and I started PTing a few weeks ago. However I'm stuck at the 160-162 rage with no improvement. I feel I'm not being able to learn much from my mistakes and wasting a real opportunity to improve. Can anyone who was in my place at some point but managed to jump to the 170s recommend their review methods? I want to understand how I should proceed with the questions I got wrong even after blind review and learn from them so I can avoid them down the line.
Proctors: They were friendly. Did their job well in keeping everybody separated by one chair between each test taker and verified materials that were brought into the room.
Facilities: Test Center was located off campus in a small strip mall in a small building owned by the school. Clean and comfortable but kind of chilly. Take a sweater.
What kind of room: it was a big open room with various long tables as opposed to desks. There were about 5 test takers at each table with a chair in between each.
How many in the room: I think there were about 25 people
Desks: None, just long tables.
Left handed accommodations: Not sure what this means but, ok,sure.
Parking: ample parking.
Time elapsed from arrival to test: about 20 minutes
Irregularities or mishaps: I initially thought the test was on campus so I was wandering around campus looking for the test center. When I finally arrived to the testing center, they said it was off campus. I was almost late. Another thing that happened was that some guy showed up without a passport photo. He wanted to leave to go get a picture as required and they would not let him because he would have been late. He was unable to test that day.
Would you test here again?: no, I took my LSAT the first time here and the second time I went about a half hour further to get to another testing center. I'll review that one later.
Date of Exam: June 2015
For example the LR Section Review live class says:
Do you want to cover logical reasoning questions and also timing strategy? If so, this is the class for you! Each week, we will review specific questions on a particular LR section before going through the questions. Check out the notes each week to try the section in advance before joining the class!
But where do you find those?
Hi all! I'm looking for some suggestions on structuring my study schedule for the upcoming September test.
A bit on my background:
I started studying around mid May on Khan Academy/LSAT Trainer. First diagnostic was 155, upped it to 161 a week later after actually learning how to do LGs. However, I felt super unstructured and wanted class-like direction so here I am! On my diagnostic here, I got a 157: -3 on LG (personal best, but abnormally good) -10 RC (100% accurate, my worst section), -5 & -9 on LR (little worse than normal)
My goal is 170+ and I learn the best by doing, which brings me to my issue:
On my current 7sage study schedule, I'll have to PT literally everyday for two months straight. Obviously I know the study schedule isn't the only right method, but I'm unsure when to start PT'ing regularly. I'd like to start soon and get through as many tests as possible. Should I touch on a module or two for each section to get some strategy, start PT'ing and then go through CC as normal? I know I have a limited amount of PTs so I don't want to waste them. Are there any modules you felt were the "fundamentals" of each section?
Additional question: I've found that I've been anticipating the the end of PTs because I'm looking for immediate gratification to see if my score improved. Is this an endurance thing that I'll stop over time or should I delay BR to the next day to curb this habit? I know BR should be done fresh but I'm concerned this habit is distracting me and causing me to rush.
Thanks so much!!
Hi,
I am currently getting mid 150+ and am taking the January exam in 10+ days. My goal for this exam is 160. (Ultimately aiming for 167-170 by May).
Every time I do the digital preptest and BR, I get at least 12-15+ correct question difference.
I am wondering if the difference is majorly because one's on digital and the other is on digital/paper.
I do would like those differences to be reflected on my actual preptest.
Any suggestion?
Hello, I'm looking for study partners to review practice tests with, and go over hard questions?
The video explanation was a bit murky here. I'm not so sure why the answer choice is C. I have a good theory on why people likely mistakenly pick C even though it is the right a/c. There are some issues I have with it.
1. its trying to say that if the number of science and engineering students in university programs has increased in the last 5 years then that is somehow proof or strengthening the idea of there being no shortage of scientist and engineers. This is a problematic shift, it requires us to assume they stay in that program, graduate it, AND work in that field. There is no evidence that these people have even graduated never mind ward off an IMMINENT and CATASTROPHIC shortage. Imminent means about to happen, how can people who entered university 3 years ago and are not even employed ward off and IMMINENT shortage? we don't even know when in the last 5 years this increase happened. We just know generally
2. It is also using a raw number to address a question about a total proportion. In otherwords, the correct answer choice here, C, is a percents and numbers FLAW! It would be like saying ok you have a shortage of 90% of workers. C is saying but you have a significant increase in the NUMBER of science grads, so what, you went from 10,000 to 50,000, that doesn't ward of the IMMINENT AND CATASTROPHIC shortage of 400,000 science grads needed. This matters because shortage means proportion it is a ratio not a raw number. It is the amount of jobs to job seeker ratio. You cannot solve this question with a total number.
3. I try to see how C could at least be right, but I have a real problem with it. I suspect most people don't recognize it as a ratio issue and just say yeah more students ----> more grads -----> -more job seekers ----->avert shortage and therefore Strengthen conclusion. There is a problem at literally everyone of these jumps but the worse one is you can have a significant increase of students, grads, job seekers, and still not avert an IMMINENT and catastrophic shortage. Maybe I am just not seeing where he is trying to strengthen correctly.
4. So which a/c would I have chosen? Probably D? Why, it is the only question who addresses the issue in the argument and thus has the POTENTIAL to strengthen. If certain science fields have an oversupply and others have a shortage. That indicates 2 thins. 1) For the oversupply field clearly there is no imminent and catastrophic shortage, supporting the conclusion. 2) For the shortage field there is also no imminent and catastrophic shortage, it is a shortage but its not described as imminent or catastrophic, so it indeed also supports the conclusion.
Hey all! I am really stuck in trying to figure out how this is used in causation questions. Is there a specific lesson dealing with this notion? Or are the explanations embedded in the causation explanation videos?
Thanks!
So sorry for the promptness - I guess it doesn't matter too much, but today is my last pt before october exam. should i take pt 89 or 83 as my last one?
And my tutor told me to not look at the score - as this can cause overestimation / overconfidence or anxiety / nerves depending on how I do ? my average right now is a 165.8-166. What do you guys think?
Hello!
I just recently finished the core curriculum and took PT 36 so I can do at least one PT a week until test day (July 23rd). I feel that going through the BR process with PT 36 has helped in some regards, however I feel I need to be drilling problem sets in addition to the BR. Unfortunately, I only have access to the 10 or so PT's provided in the Starter Pack because I cannot afford the more expansive options. I would like to do all of those under timed conditions, so drilling those sections won't work.
So for drilling sections and game/question types, should I just buy some of the earlier PT's (1-35) through 7sage, or are there other resources out there (like "10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests") that you guys have used when short on cash?
Thanks for the help!
So I am just now starting logic games and I am somewhat confused on when I should be doing the full proof method. Is that something that should wait until I start to PT, or should I full proof the problem sets from the CC as well? I am completely new to the games, and as expected I struggled on the first sequencing games. I am still having some trouble understanding if I need to go back and do the game over again or not like the full proof method says to do. If so, am I supposed to full proof every single problem set game that I struggle with initially?
I'm having a really rough time with creating a study guide and how to even approach studying.
Can you recommend any study guide and studying tips that have worked for you? I'm willing to try different methods to see which one would be best for me.
Hey, I’ve moved on to BRing only circled questions, which is a lifesaver.
BR score actually went up after only doing circled questions because I’m not changing from right to wrong, and it takes me half the time I used to spend on reviewing LR section.
However, I decided to do the rest of the questions before grading, and want to record it separately from my 1st BR score.
I thought I could enter 3rd ACs in the answer sheets because tapping the Q number again after saving it showed 3rd bubble.
But when I saved the 3rd bubble, it just changed my BR score without saving the previous selection...
Is there something I have to check in my account to save them? is there an option to do that at all?
Thank you, and good luck to everyone taking the test on next Monday!!
“Some anthropologists argue that the human species could not have survived prehistoric times if the species had not evolved the ability to cope with diverse natural environments. However, there is considerable evidence that Australopithecus afarensis, a prehistoric species related to early humans, also thrived in a diverse array of environments, but became extinct. Hence, the anthropologists’ claim is false.“
Could someone please show me verbatim how to diagram the entire passage Via formal logic and cross reference the mismatched terms that the author used in order to draw the false inference. According to the question it is a mistaken reversal and I am very comfortable diagraming up until the term “however”, after that I got so confused as to what the author was trying to translate.
Now if I’m not mistaken Jy mentioned that because the the author concluded that “the anthropologist Claims were false
ANTHRO CLAIM
“If survive ———-> Cope”
AUTHOR CONCLUSION
“Not survival ——-> Not Cope”
Are those the 2 conditional statements that conflict, that make this entire passage a mistaken reversal ?
Also please keep in mind I kind of dis regarded the premise right above the conclusion because the verbiage is confusing as it doesn’t appear to be a condition statement that I can diagram

Hello!
I took the July 2019 LSAT and got a decent score, but have decided to retake this fall to try to boost my score in order to potentially get scholarship money. I really liked using 7Sage the first time studying, but I almost completely went through the lessons when I did it the first time so I'm wondering if it will be as effective the second. I am a year removed from studying and didn't go through a ton of the PTs so I'm wondering if there is anyone who has used 7Sage for two different tests (maybe with some time removed) and what they thought of it!
Thanks!
How many preptests should we be taking a month before our lsat?
Hi all,
I was originally in the April test and am still eligible for the flex. I will be retaking the lsat and have had horror stories with test centers and I have issues with the back half of the test. Should I request the flex as i can control test spot and it is a sprint? I see the downsides as a tough curve and me studying for a curtailed test. Is it worth it? logic games is my strength at -2-5 and LR -4-6 and RC is most wild as -3-7.
