This section alone has four weaken questions!!! I don't think i've ever had a section with so many flaw and weaken questions together... anyway, since JY's explanation videos are not available yet, I want to put these confusing ones out here for discussion:

Q22

Premise: (because) if we want to know medieval epi includes some claims, we just ask whether any epi believe it. If they did, then it is part of medieval epi; if they didn't then the opposite is part of medieval epi.

Conclusion: The solution to define medieval epistemology simply as the epistemological beliefs of the medieval epistemologists.

The correct AC is E, however I feel like E is weakening the premise. since we're supposed to weaken the support in this type of questions, I'm not sure E does that and also this argument feels like circular reasoning to me. Please feel free to point out any problems in my breakdown of the argument.

Q24

premise: if pollen from a drug-producing crop flies into a nearby non-drug-producing crop of the same species, the drug could fertilize and turn it into a drug-producing crop.

conclusion: genetically engineered crop raises the possibility that drug will end up in the general food supply.

I chose E for this question, becuz i think E provides that even though X happens, doesn't mean Y will necessarily ensue (X, not Y).

Similar to Q22, I find the correct answer choice D to weaken the premise, instead of the support.

Was on the fence about taking it as I’m not PTing in my desired range, but since I already have multiple scores and still have 3/5/7 takes remaining, I decided to give it a shot in the hopes of being able to throw some apps out before the new year.

Diagnostic 154. Current PT average 171. High PT 174. Target score 174+.

RC - LG - LR

RC - indians, paintings, info on the internet comparative, punishment

A little on the harder side but nothing crazy. Least confident section. I normally do -0 on a good day, -2 average. 8 minutes left starting round 2. I did my due diligence scouring for topics... read up about acoustic separation, alain locke, values theory, harlem renaissance, sericulture, ethics of lying in government, club cells... I pulled none of those lol. That strategy worked for me in the past as far as topic familiarity, but not this time, oh well. I always try to adopt a "read to learn" mindset, but am typically unsuccessful on PTs... this was no different. Something to work on if I do another retake.

LG - ingredients, theaters, piano? lessons, last one I think was an auction but I could be making that up.

Easier... on a 1-10 I'd say 4, most confident section. 10 minutes left going into round 2 with everything answered. Two of the games had a certain type of question I wasn't expecting on a flex test and almost gave me a heart attack, but I'm not holding any grudges. LG was my last section to get comfortable with. I'm -0 to -2 here typically. I feel like I only got there in the last couple months. This is one of those I'll be kicking myself over if I don't get my score, as it will have been a waste of an easy section.

LR - Just slightly harder than average. One weird stem, not a 80s PT feel... maybe mid 70s? Struggling to recall any topics. There were two fill in the blank questions... one about some kind of power plant construction being delayed. I average -1/2 but can go to -4 on a bad day. Was at 10 right at 10 min and finished round 1 with about 9 minutes left. Still a bit rushed but I got to give everything flagged another look. I noticed my analytics were prioritizing weaken questions, so I tried to work on those these past couple days. In the podcasts, there's an episode about transforming weaken questions to RREs. I've heard it a few times before and listened to it on my run. JY says it (transforming weaken Qs to RRE) probably won't be too helpful, but is a good exercise... well for some reason I found it actually helped a lot to kind of tweak how I was approaching those harder weaken questions. I haven't sat down to articulate exactly why to myself yet, but give it a listen if you haven't yet. This turned out to be great as I'm pretty sure there were more weaken questions than usual. Edit: oil/skin/acid, cannonballs, liquid water on planet, fuel additives, plato/poe quote.

Flawless ProctorU experience finally. Hoping this is my last time.

Hi friends, I have looked at a couple of posts regarding this topic from awhile back, but I figured I ask the question again in order to find out if anyone is doing anything differently, or what, if anything, has helped them in the past in reviewing reading comprehension?

I am aiming to hit the low to mid 170s by Jan 2021 test day. I am currently PT-ing in the mid to high 160s, with the occasional 170s thrown in between. My reading comprehension has proven by far to be the most inconsistent (going anywhere from -1 to -8), followed by LR (-4/5), with LG being my strongest (averaging -1).

Thank you so very much! Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings,

I'm taking the November LSAT FLEX on Wednesday. Originally my score was at 141but my score gradually increased over the passed couple of months. I've been stuck at 153 since the end of September, however, I have a strong feeling that I would be able to score higher if I learned to became more comfortable with the time constraints. I went from taking prep test every week to almost everyday along with other forms of timed and mastery practice. I am a person who in general has issues with anxiety. I am currently three days away from taking my LSAT test and I am experiencing a major reoccurring problem. For the past two weeks, I've been experiencing the inability to finish my test due to panic. I usually start to become frustrated and unfocused to the point where I'm unable to regain my focus enough to answer the remaining questions ( I was not experiencing this problem up until the last week of October).

I'm not sure if I'm burnt out to the point where it escalating my anxiety or if it's another underlying reason. I am hoping I can receive advice on what I should do from this point.#HELP

Hey guys, was wondering if anybody had experienced an issue similar to the one my buddy is experiencing right now.

“When I went to test my equipment for the exam tomorrow, everything tested well except for the “monitor width.” I contacted customer support and they told me they haven’t experienced anything like this before and if I want it to get resolved, to call back an hour before the exam tomorrow.”

Has anyone dealt with an issue similar, or have any advice for him?

On Sunday, of all days, a tropical storm hit my neighborhood. On the first two sections of the LSAT my internet kept disconnecting, losing me precious time on LR and RC. I am already panicked and, not having a proper flex experience, my electricity turns off (including wifi). I had to break policy by reaching for my phone to connect to my hotspot and report to my proctor. They said I should be fine to take another November date but the LSAC personnel said to wait a few days for options.

Do you think I should go ahead with the writing portion at least? Also if they only let me redo the last section and not the prior 2 (which I would rather just redo it all due to complications) or cancel to instead take the January exam, which do you think is the better option? Please lmk!

Cancel if I bombed LG?

So I recently took the November-Flex test, and while I think I did okay on LR and RC, I completely bombed Logic Games. I normally finish the section and get around -3. This time, though, I was able to do only two games and completely guessed on the other two games. I've been hoping for 165+ to a 170 score, and I can retake in January, so I was wondering if it's smart to just cancel this score. Please LMK what you think. Thank you!

Questions about test day

I'm taking the LSAT-FLEX tomorrow and had some final questions about what to expect.

  • Are you allowed to keep your laptop on charge throughout the exam?
  • Do we need to print admissions ticket or do we just need our drivers license?
  • I have a macbook and have been super paranoid about the possibility of imessage, facetime, or emails etc popping up on my screen while I'm testing. Does anyone have any useful tips for blocking all this from happening?

    tomorrow's test anxiety

hey everyone I wanted to ask if any of you had some tips to ease pre-test anxiety? I know its going to keep me up all night. have never ever been an anxious person or worried so much about tests but I have the LSAT tomorrow morning and my hands are shaking, I'm tearing up and just overall on the verge of a breakdown. Please help.

    It's a weakening question. I don't understand why answer is D.

Answer choice is saying the ordinary crop doesn't contain drug. But according to stimulus, after pollination, the ordinary crop may produce drug-producing crop, therefore drug may end up in food supply. Answer choice D doesn't weaken this argument.

I was indecisive between E and B. But I couldn't think of an explanation of D is the right answer. HELPP~

Just finished the November lsat flex.

I got LR-RC-LG. LR was very easy and it’s probably like something in the 60s. RC was just brutal, and I feel it’s even harder than the October’s RC. LG was always my best section (average about -0 or -1), but this time I just feel really bad. I don’t know if it’s because LG was the lsat section or what, but I just could not make any useful inferences at all.

I got 161 in the October test and I’m wondering if I should cancel this test or not.

should I just use the 161 to apply my safe schools and retake in January?

    If you need LG help

Hey guys, if anyone is interested in some help on LG please let me know. I’ve done every publicly available logic game multiple times. I’ve been helping students for about 3 months now!

    Post LSAT

I studied hard for this test since March of this year, and I sat for the November Flex on the 7th. As I was studying, time seemed to move extremely fast and now that I have completed the test, time seems to be moving extremely slow. Nothing took me by surprise on the flex, but I think I caught a case of test anxiety: things felt so surreal as I was taking the test that it kind of felt fake? I don't know how to really express my emotions with words; however, now I wait to see this score that I feel will be low, but the post LSAT life, where I go cold-turkey with studying, is something that feels hallow to an extent because you put so much time and effort on the test and now it's over for a little bit. It's weird.

I am not sure what this post even means, but cheers to the LSAT takers!

For answer choice A, I seemed to struggle understanding how it strengthens the argument. Is answer choice A saying that the more "good" cases that you have, the higher your productivity score at your firm (I am assuming that a high productivity score is a positive attribute to have)? What if one takes on a computer-fraud case (which according to the stimulus take more time than the average fraud case) and it's a "good" case (i.e. you win the case)? Won't this increase my productivity score? Would greatly appreciate clarification on this answer choice.

    Hello everyone,

I am currently scoring a constant score of 153 on practice exams. The highest I have scored was about two weeks ago and I got a 154. My blind review scores normally fall into the low 160s. I am planning on taking the LSAT on Wednesday, November 11th. I am just looking for advice on what I should do. I am planning on applying during this application cycle and would like advice if I should withdraw from this LSAT and just take the January LSAT. Or I could do both this LSAT and January. I am just discouraged and frustrated that I am so close to the 155 but cannot pull it off. Just for reference, my highest RC score is a -7 (normally -12), LG -4 (normally -5) and LR -6 (normally -9). Any advice or words of encouragement is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

In foolproofing for LG (which I've just started) I've noticed that below the videos, there will be a target time. However, when I watch the videos, JY usually says a different target time. Which target time am I supposed to go by? The faster one? Also, does anyone know what determines the difference between these two times?

    Example: PT 1 G1:Under 10 in video vs. 11:52

    Example: PT 1 G2: Around 9 Minutes in video, vs. 11:04 (https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-1-section-2-game-2/)

    November LSAT Flex

    Good morning,

I am taking my exam this Tuesday November 10th.... Yikes! It is my first time taking the LSAT so I am not familiar with the process at all. Can someone please explain the process on the day of the exam, everyone I know has done the exam in person. Also, if anyone can offer any advise that would be great too.

    Thank you in advance!

    Headphones on LSAT Writing

So I didn't read the instructions on the writing section and I was wearing headphones the entire thing. My webcam mic is really bad so I thought that I could use my headphone mic instead. Just realized today that it isn't allowed. Anyone have experience with this/ will they definitely cancel it? And if so, will I be able to retake it and if needed, cancel my score once the proper submission goes through?

I have recently been taking PT's 80-87 and have been doing poorly on my LR. But when I do BR, I am at -1 or -2, and I fully understand and choose the correct answer. So, why am I not choosing the correct A/C on the actual timed prep tests? Am I rushing too much to finish, not reading accurately or something else?...can't figure out what is going wrong but I take the Nov FLEX ASAP. Any words of advice is appreciated.
