7Sage Fellowship — Applications Close 7/31

Hey there!

This is a friendly reminder that you have 2 weeks left to get your applications in for the 7Sage Fellowship. The fellowships is a free 12-week course that covers LSAT prep, law school admissions, and legal career pathways. It's designed for students with financial need.

It takes about 30 minutes to apply — we can't wait to read your submission!

Apply here (https://7sage.typeform.com/fellowshipapp)

Sometimes I want to redo the exact same drill after reviewing my mistakes, but recreating it every time takes extra work and time. I think a one-click Retake Drill button would make studying and tracking improvement so much easier :)

Does anyone else want this?

Pop Quiz: LSAT Math In The Wild

Last week while out climbing I came across this sign, which makes for a great Math exercise. I'm gonna give you a series of questions to answer. Post your answers to them all, or just one, or a few you feel confident in.

I'm off on another trip this weekend, but when I get back I'll loop around and give feedback on everyone's answers. I might even choose a winner to give some kind of prize. No guarantees on that last part lol.

Here's the challenge.

---

---

Based on these graphs and the text above, I've come to two conclusions:

i) 5.8 is the most dangerous climbing grade in Eldo.

ii) Most accidents on 5.8 routes in Eldo are a result of leader falls.

Please provide correct answer choices to the following questions. Bonus points for wording them as closely to real LSAT answers as possible. I encourage you to look at example Math questions for guidance on phrasing.

1: Why is each conclusion vulnerable to criticism?

2: For each conclusion, what fact, if true, would undermine that conclusion?

3: For each conclusion, what fact, if true, would support that conclusion?

4: For each conclusion, what question, if true, would help us determine the truth of that conclusion?

5: For each conclusion, what is an assumption required for that conclusion to follow from the information in the photo?

6: For each conclusion, what assumption would allow that conclusion to be properly inferred from the information in the photo?

This captcha is getting so out of hand every morning I am trying to login to my 7sage account and I waste good 2-3 minutes clicking on boxes because it won't work

Hello! Just wondering if I could get advice from any instructors or high-scorers on how to become better at skipping a question and moving on? Is there a sort of confidence drill that I can do to help build that habit? Over the past few tests, I've noticed a pattern of freezing early in an LR section and spending 4+ minutes on one level 2-3 question and spending 20+ minutes on Passages 1 and 2 on RC. As you can imagine, I'm burning through a lot of time in the beginning/middle of sections, and it's costing me quite a bit of time and points towards the end.

Sometimes I get stuck on a question because of two tricky contenders, but most of the time it's because I know I can figure it out but I panic and start jumbling up my diagrams and refuse to move on from the question. I know that I should just flag it and come back to it, but I don't trust myself to have enough time!

This hasn't always been an issue for me, but I think I recently slipped into a very bad habit of needing to be 100% confident of every correct answer before moving on. How do I learn to trust 70-80% confidence on an answer?

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys!! Who else is taking the August LSAT? I'm scared ngl. How are y'alls PTs going?? I haven't hit my goal score yet I'm nervous omg but I'm getting closer.

Are some of y'alls PTs feeling much harder than others? I just did PT145 and I thought I was going to die lol. I did PT144 last week and it felt like a breeze in comparison. I'm scared for the August test: hopefully it won't feel impossibly evil lmfao.

Are y'all doing any specific studying techniques? Do you feel prepared? How are y'all planning on managing test day nerves?

Hey everyone! I have had a wild ride in studying for the LSAT... After my 4th attempt, I decided to start over completely with 7 Sage, thanks to my friends' advice!

I'm definitely improving on my accuracy and timing, but I think I can do even better! I have started a wrong answer journal in a little red notebook, with each page explaining why I chose the wrong answer, what's wrong about that answer, why the right answer is right, and why I missed the right answer. I want to do better at understanding the patterns in my wrong answers, so I can address them.

However, the way I'm currently doing it, identifying patterns is not happening. Does anyone have a method that works really well for them, or maybe even an app that's worth it? Any advice or suggestions on formatting wrong answer journals would be very helpful! Happy studying!

Hey yall,

Since my ask a tutor button isn’t working, I thought I’d ask for help here. For this question, I thought the unstated premise was: tragedies and comedies major characters have moral qualities that do not reflect the worlds they are in (the logical negation of the classification of romance and satires, which is the moral qualities of major characters do reflect the worlds they are in) . But the correct answer choice, D states the moral qualities of major characters in tragedy’s and comedy’s do not change throughout the action ( the negation of the classification for tragedies and comedies)

Why is the unstated premise here AC D, the negation of the classification for tragedies and comedies rather than the unstated premise I had predicted?

I know this is a SA q btw, I’m trying to push myself to find the gap by thinking what the unstated premises are

As many have noted LSAC is changing a lot of things about the LSAT interface and many have ascribed this to LSAC fighting score inflation. How possible is it that the August LSAT will be much more difficult than PrepTests 140-159?

If it is much more difficult will schools take notice?

RC line citations are no longer highlighted for you.

They used to be highlighted in the old interface, making what you're asked about easier to spot. Now you have to find the referenced text yourself.

OLD, EASIER:

NEW, "IMPROVED":

You'll want to use a combination of the search box and plain ol' counting sentences and paragraphs to find what you're asked about now. You'll get used to it.

A few other updates to match LawHub's behavior:

  • Masking mode resets when you switch questions.

  • Clicking a selected answer doesn't de-select it, and you can't eliminate a selected answer in masking mode. To de-select, pick a different answer or click reset response.

  • You can't select an eliminated answer — you have to unmask it first.

It's really satisfying when you start to intuitively recognize the overall patterns of the questions and answers and feel increasingly confident in your choices. I've also learned that no matter how much I might want to stubbornly stick with a difficult question until I get the answer, just leaving it alone and going back to it later with a fresh perspective really has helped.

am I the only one who finds that when I highlight on RC, when I scroll the interface glitches and randomly scrolls up on its own? it's weird and honestly slows me down.

Started off with a 141 and this is my highest score yet. Pretty dang proud of myself, but I am still struggling to trust the AC I choose and end up choosing the wrong AC. Any advice? (Ignore the BR)

😖 Frustrated

Is this real?

Please tell me this is not real? Your saying I can get an online psychologist to approve me for documentation to get accommodations? I am all for accommodations for those who need it, but what is stopping someone from just answering in a way to be approved? Ugh

They claim on their website a 98% success rate in receiving accommodations, and tell you what you need to score on their anxiety questionnaire to increase your chances of eligibility. I honestly hope this is not real?

So when I started taking tests I was taking the old tests and regularly testing in the 160s and BR in the 170s but now that I’m in the new tests I dropped like 10 points and am panicking 😭 If that happened to you too, how long did it take for you to get back to the old test scoring range? 😬

for my peeps who work full time besides studying and who work in something they are passionate about, any tips on how to turn off your thoughts, worries and concerns from the work day? I still think about my clients and what to do the next day and I find my studying quality to suffer. ill take any tips to improve focus and staying on track, thank you!

also tips on how to make the lsat something one is excited or enjoys doing would be really appreciated! ive heard from high scorers they begin to love the lsat, and I am a firm believer of mentality and focus while testing being huge in accuracy.

I have gone through all of the LSAT questions. Do you think I should ask AI to make me some new/fresh ones? How reliable will those be if I upload old LSAT exams for AI to base the questions off of?

I will be writing the LSAT in 3 weeks and it seems I have almost burned through all the LR and RC sections/drills. I'm considering editing my prep tool setting to start using the excluded older tests, but I'm unsure if getting used to the older style right before my test would disadvantage me? I don't mind redoing old LR sections if people find it helpful, but I'm unsure if redoing RC sections would be helpful since I usually remember some of the answers. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions!

1

Is it really worth it? I feel like it's so long and very time consuming but I have heard doing the curriculum can really help raise your score. I need advice on how to properly use 7sage, I had a tutor and I liked the way all my days were planned out? Anyway have a schedule they can share.

2

Last weekend I scored my best so far on a full practice test! I am registered for the LSAT in August, and feel like I am hitting my "peak" around the right time. Any advice? I am planning on taking a full test for the next 3 weekends until test day.

Hi everyone,

I have finished the 7Sage curriculum and am starting to practice over the next few months before taking the LSAT in October.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a wrong-answer journal that has significantly helped them track their mistakes and improve their score. I know 7Sage has a Notes section, but I'm looking for something more detailed and independent.

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or insights. Thank you!!
