I just scored a 180 on PT139.

I will be taking my first LSAT in January, having said that, I have not done the argumentative writing part of the LSAT (opens December 30, 2025). What would you all recommend? should I do the writing before the LSATS or can I take it after my test (2, 3 days after test).
I personally want to take it after the LSAT, but I don't know if its a good idea to take it after. Would taking it after will delay my LSAT results? I am planing to take it within 2,3 days after my LSAT (if i go this route).
I want to apply to schools, the day of the results lol. If taking it after the results would delay the results, please let me know and help me out.
I am first gen and don't know who to ask.
Just curious if there are any best practices for WHEN to BR after a PT (other than 'do what works best for you and your schedule). Do you take a small break then get into it? Long break but same day? Or is it advantageous to go back to BR the next day?
I'm taking the LSAT in January 2026 and plan to submit my application to all the law schools I'm interested in as soon as I get my score. Is it too late to apply to start in the fall of 2026? I'm in Florida, and a majority of the schools I want to go to have their priority deadlines by February-March 2026. Will I make it just in the nick of time?
I just scored a 177 on PT140.

Hey! I want to draw your attention to three Fast Track lessons available at the end of the LR Unit:

These are designed to be short (~1 hour) overview lessons for people starting with a high diagnostic, or review lessons for people who have gone through the CC or other curriculum and just want a refresher on important points.
Since we're planning to make more of these, I'm eager to hear some feedback to make future lessons better. Most people won't see these lessons as part of their study plans, so I'm bringing this request to the Discussion forum. Thanks!
Hey everyone!
I’ve recently started studying and have been following a pretty strict study schedule. I’m about five months out from my test date, and I’m wondering if this is a good time to start increasing the intensity of my studying, or if you’d recommend a different approach. There are so many drills and practice tests available, and I’m unsure whether I should save the drills for closer to the test date. Any advice given is super helpful! Thank you!
Hey Guys! I need some advice. I am currently planning to take the LSAT in February 26 and need help deciding on if I should adjust my study plan. I have taken the LSAT twice, so I understand what is being asked and the structure of the test, but I struggle heavily with reading comprehension (staying locked in while reading) and timing, plus question types and second guessing on logical reasoning. I started from the very beginning with my study plan because it may be helpful, but maybe I should center the next two months on practicing and working on timing since I've gone through the actual test twice? I work full time, so my studying comes in the evenings, how should I dedicate my time? I am really only looking to jump maybe 10 to 15 points for my score which currently sits at a 146. What should I do?
does 7sage give you harder questions on drills if you're improving or is it totally random
I am in need of tips and tricks to help me understand and get me out of this big point difference. During a LR section I have ranged from -10 to -12 but when I blind review I always get -5 or better. Is anyone else experiencing this?!
I have completed the core lessons, I will be taking the January LSAT, I did my first PT 2 weeks ago and got 146 BR 155, then last week I got a 142 BR 153, and today I got a 138 BR 153 yet, whats going on? I thought I was getting a hang of it. I am crashing out, Aiming for 149-155. Any sugguestion whats wrong with me?? Please dont sugguest to restart with fundamentals, I get that but man this is not normal!
I've started a new video series where I dive into student PrepTest results and offer some high-level strategic advice. I did the first one with Kevin and had a lot of fun with it.
I'd love to do more of these, so please share your PT results!
Hi guys, just got my score hold lifted and I wanted to say thank you to 7sage for helping me with getting a 180. I started off with a pretty low diagnostic(165) and they were able to help me move up by 15 points!!!!!. Thanks to J.Y for the explanations.
Not sure if this change happened to everyone, but the new format where the test window doesn't take up the entirety of the screen kinda sucks. Before it used to offer a lot more space, which was helpful for scanning the prompts and answers quicker. Anyone know how to change this back or is this a permanent update?
hey guys , i need advice/help. I am studying by myself no tutor, i did my first ever practice test end of August and got a 138 then the next test i did was in october which was 135 and then a week ago 133 and then on that last one i blind reviewed a 150. Today i took a practice test untimed and got a 139 and am going to wait a day to blind review. Is this a normal process for some? I also didnt get 7sage till a week ago and it has way more helpful tools then the book i was using. I notice when i take the test i get stuck with having 2-3 answer choices and on my blind review i would choose the other answer choice i was stuck between. How do i break the cycle of getting the right answer the first time? thanks
the following is from a flaw question on seven sage...
Theorist: To be capable of planned locomotion, an organism must be able both to form an internal representation of its environment and to send messages to its muscles to control movements. Such an organism must therefore have a central nervous system. Thus, an organism incapable of planned locomotion does not have a central nervous system.
Correct Answer
a
confuses a necessary condition for an organism's possessing a capacity with a sufficient one
My attempt to identify conditionals (May be False)
( Sufficient condition) be capable of planned locomotion. (Nessesary Condition indicated by must)
an organism must be able to both to form an internal representation of it's environment
and to send messages to its muscles to control movement.
but then what confuses me is what appears to be be another Necessary condition introduced in the subsequent sentence... "Such an organism must therefore have a central nervous system" again another must indicating what appears to be another Necessary condition. Then strangely the argument denys the antecedent aka the sufficient condition when it states " thus an organism incapable of planned locomotion, does not have a central nervous system.
I though confusing the sufficient and necessary condition is exactly like affirming the consequent
A>B
B
therefore A.
Logically valid structure
A>B
A
Therefore B..........
I just scored a 178 on PT128.

I just scored a 165 on PT127.
Any feedback would be helpful. As background I took my diagnostic at 158 (in Aug) this is my second full pt. Got some stupid ones wrong on second section by reading the question / 1-2 answer choices wrong.
I’m considering taking the February LSAT. I’m not aiming for any T-14 schools and am mostly focused on HBCUs. Since I’m interested in Howard, should I take the February exam or wait for the next application cycle?
Hi all,
I got a 167 and am shooting for UCLA. GPA is a 3.74. Is it worth applying now with my score, or should I hold off and try to score higher in January even though it will be later in the cycle?
I just scored a 171 on PT127.

seems like a bunch of stuff that doesnt apply to 80 percent of the problems. when does it start getting useful. i feel like im wasting alot of hours on it
