My problem with D is that it says "new students" (freshmen) and the stimulus says students who were already at the school and no longer can afford it (sophomores, juniors and seniors).. How would the scholarships for new students being stipulated by GPA's, impact the cost of attendance for the senior when that student has already been at the school and that scholarship for newstudents doesnt apply to them?

This has to be the single most poorly written LSAT passage of all time.
Overall i saw a flaw but the flaw I saw was the assumption that the current amount available in the property tax revenue was maxed out. Why did they need to raise property taxes? What if theres money already available in the property tax bucket to cover the increase in school funding?
Still think you get to the right answer with either one but i just thought I'd point that out.
I read answer C as "food consumers" and not "food producers" and of course eliminated it smh
this was a great explanation. i lowkey lucked into the right answer because i had a hunch the writers were on some slick shit with answer A being so attractive.
They completely leave out that whole post slavery Jim crow era, legalized lynching and just all around draining racism that had to be endured in the south by black people. I was sick to my stomach reading this passage that completely glossed over that MAJOR factor.
read the book "The warmth of other suns" and then come back to this passage and see how disgusted you are.
I literally read the last sentence and thought to myself "that prosecutor can go to hell, who gives a damn what he or she thinks?" and immediately went to answer choice C and moved the hell on lmao.
For some reason i got tripped up in the stimulus because i wasnt able to figure out if the argument wanted us to differentiate between "tone" and "pitch" and it threw me off. UGH
Very good question and rare occasion where the initial premise strengthens a premise/subconclusion. Very good question.
Fantastic question. I got it wrong for the same reason everyone else did.
Number 8 was just doing too much. Glad i didn't spend time getting it wrong.
Came back to the question and its still mad annoying. Requiring a hugggeee MF'ing assumption. UGH.
Barely made sense to me. POE like nobodies business.
Im in the same boat. Im a splitter and got a 165 on this test after scoring in the low 170's regularly in PT. Haven't looked at my distribution yet scores yet. Im blind reviewing the test as i write this. I don't have to apply this cycle but I would like to. Im more shocked than i am mad. This was a favorable test for me. Got 2 LG sections early in my exam didn't really feel tripped up about anything.. I felt comfortable all around. But shit happens. Ill go stuff my face with some Ben and Jerry's and then get back to work later this week. this is just one of those lumps. I will get a 170 or above. YOU will get that 170 and WE will walk across that stage in a few years.
I was fine until i read this discussion. Ugh. I knew i shouldn't have opened this one

Also its good practice when doing questions untimed to just try to hold the conditional reasoning in your head. Don't write them down unless you absolutely have to but try to hold them mentally. Its been very helpful for me. I used to try to write down every little conditional statement in an argument and it wasn't necessary and it would mess up my flow while reading.
