I keep getting tripped up over the concept of evidence vs. a counter example (or other substitutes). #4 there is beta town who is like oh, our street lights stink and we cannot look at stars but hey its for safety. then alpha town is like oh nah we got street lights so alpha that they allow our star guys to see stars. I selected B assuming this was evidence, is evidence something that is more empirical? how do you guy delineate between evidence and other synonymous terms?

#3 is the only one really tripping me up. I selected D for the correct answer - which is wrong - the correct answer is A. In Kevin's video, he says it would be difficult to know each members opinion - based on the premises of 'did not consult any other members' - is D wrong because D says each member would have agreed to the release if they had been consulted; how do we know if they could have agreed or disagreed? our premises only tells us they were not consulted, nothing about their opinions on the matter. Got it. A says permissible --> most of the other members of the commission gave there consent. Meaning over 1/2 gave consent if this is failed, we are in luck and boom, valid argument by contrapositive. BUT does A make the same 'mistake' D makes? How do we know over 1/2 would have consented? What is their opinion / mindset? Consent of release = agreement of release; they are synonymous. Does the answer lie in the fact D requires 'each' one to agree and A requires only 1/2 -- but then again in either case, the necessary will fail when NOBODY was consulted

I get a little confused when we are allowed to draw inference for the right answer but not for the wrong one lol. for example, A is supported by Talbert, and I would argue it is just as anti-supported for Sklar as is answer choice D is explicitly stated for Talbert. Talbert does not directly say children should be taught to play chess but provides a ton of positives about playing chess as children -- just as Sklar provides a negative

What are the 'easier' points they are referencing? I am someone they described - around 152 - 54 on test right now, looking for 160 but just trying to get to +158 as the goal....should I not be as focused on conditional logic?

I sometimes get confused when an assumption is ok and when it isn't ok. Here, we assumed NOT having serious financial problems = financial problems solved --> this is where I get confused. what can we assume and what can't we? Just because I no longer have serious financial problems does not mean my financial problems are solved? I am not bankrupted (serious financial problem) but I still have a $500 a month student loan payment (financial problems are not solved). any insight / anyone feeling the same way?
