@Kihla333 this is encouraging thank you!! I’ve only done untimed drills thus far, I think I need to do more timed drills by sections. I do really well on untimed drills, so I’m pretty sure the issue is timing and not a conception gap. Really appreciate the encouragement! ☺️
@SharlizeStone thing is, I have been. I’ve used the Sage AI to help, and there was a really good trend for a while and now it’s like I dropped down again. I basically did the entire curriculum twice because I was struggling with most of them. But I appreciate this response!
I recently got the lowest PT I've ever had right before my Sept LSAT this week, and I feel so panicked that I'm going to do bad. I've also taken the October date, and I may register for November, but I've been plateauing at the low 140s for months, I got a 149 once, but my Blind Reviews tell another story: I've gotten high 150s and 160s for BR, and I honestly don't know what to do better. I wish my first takes were better than my BRs. I know timing has been an issue for me as well. I've taken a virtual class, I've finished the CC, maybe I need to do more drilling and PTs? Any advice on what I can do to potentially increase my score from now till the October exam?
This is exactly my issue. I select the right one - then second guess and choose the wrong one. Proud of you for getting better at sticking with intuition and good luck!! :)
Folks there is a video on this from foundations: https://7sage.com/lessons/foundations/arguments/the-spectrum-of-support It's also directly linked on the page here in case ppl missed it!
I went to an LSAC Forum recently, and I heard a mix of opinions from various deans of admissions. T-14 deans said the earlier you submit, the better, especially for T14 schools since they receive so many applications. Other deans said it's more important to wait until your application is as strong as it can be, as long as you submit by around Christmas or New Year's.
I've also heard this opinion that stuck out to me the most: the best rule of thumb is to aim to submit apps by Thanksgiving if you can.
I totally empathize with you. I'm in the same boat and have had to push back my test date too, given all the interface changes I have to get used to. In the long run, it'll serve us much better to earn a stronger LSAT score. I'd rather submit a little later with the best application I can put together than rush an earlier application with a lower score. :( Either way, good luck to you!!
Thank you so much for rolling out these interface changes and for addressing issues so quickly! I really appreciate the entire 7Sage team and the work put into helping test takers, especially those of us taking the LSAT in August and beyond, feel more prepared with the new interface.
The exam has definitely become more challenging, with these updates :( but we're less likely to be blindsided on test day! (Hopefully LSAC doesn't introduce any more surprises before then!) Truly grateful for 7Sage and all the support provided throughout this process 😊
@Elecoo Yeah :/ I recently took a practice test and just like OP the ctrl f (searching) helps, but still takes up so much time. Highlighting is slower too now ://.
I totally understand you, as a first gen myself, I had to fight some pressure off from my own family to keep rescheduling my exam till it felt ready, but I also think having that pressure is a tough love way of saying "do it soon otherwise you'll never get it down". And for me personally, that was true! I feel like putting down a date really did push me to work harder, and to some extent the results paid off, but then I took a PT a week before my Friday exam and it was suuper low. So it was pretty discouraging, but I'm honestly going to say f it, and take it. I also felt it at my CORE when you said, "I don't go outside". ME TOO! Given this pressure, but honestly that doesn't do us any good either, you need to relax, you need something to keep you mind off the LSAT so you don't burn yourself out!! If you'd like to call on 7sage chat, let me know I'm here to talk.
