can you explain causal vs correlation in the answer choices?

ugh this was so frustrating.

I struggle sometimes and overthink answers when we are told not to extrapolate from the context given in the question and should avoid generalizations. I had the right answer the first time but changed it to another because of the use of generally.

Okay, this stuff makes no sense to me. It feels like a completely foreign language. And the examples are just making it more confusing. Can someone explain this in a way more simple way?
