@SavannahMiller We don't but in English it is customary to use male pronouns when the gender is unknown.

@HayleeHarris I don't see what is wrong with my attitude. No, it's not just "one more word," it is the essential word in the first sentence of the US Government's founding document. Without understanding of the word "posterity," then we cannot know for whom this country exists, or to whom its government belongs. And finally no, Americans are not from drastically varying backgrounds. We are "One Nation under God," see John Jay's Federalist Paper No. 2. Hope this helps!

@JPolus I think you've raised an interesting point. Should we have our top law schools and legal system filled with non Americans? Many of whom unfamiliar with our founding legal documents? Food for thought...

Haven't watched it yet but really don't feel like the explanation video for this question had to be nearly 18 minutes.

This presumption of female pronouns is getting ridiculous. This tutor is four times more likely to refer to an anonymous author with "she" than "he". What the flip?

@StupidName Yes, and especially because it is conditional, my understanding is that this was this was a hypothetical with this potential technology could save money on electric bills. Very frustrating. I was not even attracted to the other answers and picked up on the flaws in both B and D but C appeared irrelevant.

@StupidName same but I think the "thereby saving money" clause wants us to take into account the other factors. Horrendous question tbh

I am genuinely shocked how many comments I am reading about people not knowing the word "posterity." Have all of these future American lawyers never read the preamble to the US Constitution? Terrifying...

@lynxdeguzman352 You're an American, and you want to become a lawyer, but you don't know the word "posterity"? It is literally in the first sentence of the US Constitution.
