DAMN IT! In 40 seconds I chose the correct answer and then changed it in blind review.

I simplified the argument to "the whole thing is, so 1 (part) must be" and repeated that in my head while reading each answer choice. Made weeding out the wrong answers very simple!

I got stuck on E because of the "usually." So they are usually shorter-lived -- but not always.
