Does applying to scholarships attached to the school application impact your likelihood of getting in? I wonder if they can help or hurt your application. If you apply to many of them, does your application stand out more? NYU has many different scholarship essays and I'm worried I could be sacrificing the benefit of applying early by spending time writing these. Looking at the risk/benefits here haha

@ that's good you heard back from them, but wtf they want you to cancel your score as well? This whole thing is a huge mess...
Make sure you all advocate for yourselves and call/email LSAC over the issues!!! They said they need to know feedback and to email testsecurity@.org if you are looking to get a refund/voucher for the next test. Maybe if they get enough requests for refunds we'll have a higher chance of another summer test... I was on hold with LSAC for over 30 minutes on the phone to complain lol
@ It sucks so much. I already complained and asked for a refund and voucher for the next test lol. I hope they create another test date this summer so I can get a good test score down before fall applications...
I am very disappointed in my experience with ProctorU and the LSAT-Flex. Here's my experience:
The proctor's mic stayed on for the first few minutes of my test (I could hear talking and other loud feedback), which was so distracting. This did not allow me to have a strong start to my exam. This proctor also interrupted me and didn't allow me to finish reading the test rules at the beginning. They also did not check my desk, surrounding area, or my scratch paper, which I thought they were supposed to do.
Towards the end my camera supposedly froze, in which the proctor interrupted my test to fix by using my cursor. My test was not paused, and I did not get time back on my test. I lost several minutes (almost 10) on LG which is huge, and they told me that they couldn't give me back the time they used to fix my technical issue. I likely bombed my last game because of this.
Additionally, my second proctor used my cursor before telling me they were going to fix a problem, aka, my cursor was flying all over the screen for me to fight with while I was trying to answer questions. This happened a few times and again, was very distracting.
Didn't they say if there's an issue, the proctors pause your test and allow you to go back after it's resolved? I was told this at least over the phone by LSAC.
The whole thing was incredibly upsetting and unprofessional. We all pay $200 for this test, expecting good conditions and minimal distractions. My proctors were a big part of the issue, and now my plans for law school are pushed back because I have to take it again... Did any one else have similar issues?
Not the easiest test. Some of the LR questions were long and unlike some of the stimuli I've seen before... RC took a while and was pressed for time and the third game threw me a loop.
Otherwise, good experience with proctorU! I had a HORRIBLE time with the May test with lots of technical difficulty. This time my proctor was barely there but a trustworthy source. Good experience, hope the curve runs in my favor. ;)
@ I recommend calling customer service, emailing LSAC info, and testsecurity@.org. You should circle back if you don't hear from them. They "lost my email" the first time around, but it got me a free voucher for this test!
I had LR-LG-RC. I found LR to be a bit easier, but my background is science-heavy. LG was okay. I found RC to be hard but this could have been due to a technical issue my proctor had to fix that kind of threw me off for the rest of it.
My proctor fixed the problem very quickly and was able to somehow pause my test... She closed it out completely then when we found it again, I had to press the "start test" button where the terms and conditions are. 50s countdown, then back to where I left off.
I was doing poorly for some of the previous sets, but with this set I got 5/5! finally seeing progress and I'm so proud of myself!
I haven't received any email from LSAC about the test being cancelled for July but through here I found out and registered for the Flex again (ugh).
I had a hard time with this one and got it incorrect, but I think I understand it now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the argument is saying that the beauty STANDARD is not subjective. Basically saying that the standard is not considered something influenced by feelings, opinions, or personal influence.
C is right because it ultimately says no, the beauty standard IS influenced by their personal opinions and experiences (of the people believing the pieces were beautiful).
Kind of a different way to explain it, but it makes sense to me this way!
