Grad transcript not received

I sent transcripts from all of the schools I've attended to LSAC a month ago. Since I got my masters degree from the same school I got undergrad, whenever I request transcripts both of my undergrad and masters degree transcripts are sent together in one PDF. But for some reason, while LSAC shows that they received my undergrad transcript, they didn't get my masters transcript yet. I'm wondering whether I should request another transcript to be sent to LSAC from my school.. I'd like to call LSAC but they seem to be busy and currently not confirming whether they got transcripts via phone call. Would really appreciate any advice on this. Thank you so much in advance!!

@ Hi! if you don't mind, where in the LSAC website did you see that we're not allowed to use pen? Trying to find the specific guideline around that on LSAC web but can't seem to find. Thank you!

@ aww thanks so much for your kind words! :) hearing this definitely made me feel better. I've signed up for the November test but not sure how much I can improve in such short time. Even if I don't, I'll probably still apply for this cycle since I've already delayed a year in going to law school.. And 100% agree that this whole thing is painful lmao and can't wait for it to be over. I wish you reach your goal in November!

For the August flex test, I got 164 again for the second time same as the June flex. Honestly I couldn’t believe it and stared at the screen for like 5mins blinking lol. It was very disappointing because I thought I felt much more comfortable with RC and it’s usually my worst section but it doesn’t help that I can’t tell how I did on each section. Weeks approaching the test date, I was PTing around 167 -169 with some outliers. I’m seriously losing confidence in my ability to improve.. I would really appreciate to hear some of your advice / thoughts on whether it would be worth to study for 3rd take.

For some more context, I have 3.77 GPA and wish to go to T14 school (would love to go to NYU or Berkeley as I hope to go into public sector after). I’ve been working full time at a consulting firm for 3 years.

Congrats on breaking 170! I've been on low 160 for few months now and experiencing plateau in my score.. my biggest issue is with RC section (struggling with timing and I tend to be stuck at passages for too long if I don't have a good understanding of it at first read). What was your RC score improvement journey like? would really appreciate to hear your tips on improving RC specifically.

@ Thank you for your thoughts! That's how I understood the stimulus as well and I don't think we need to understand it other way to answer this question correctly. I just wanted to make sure that if I was totally off on understanding this argument. good to know I wasn't. If anyone feels other way, please comment below!

@ thanks for replying!

Here’s the link to the discussion:

I was mainly confused by ManhattanPrepLSAT1’s explanation.

PT B. S1. Q21 - Two doctrines have been greatly

Hi all - I'd really appreciate your help on understanding the argument in this question.

I get the gap in this question is that just because first doctrine states that "all historical events must be explained in economic factors" doesn't mean that historical events are explained only in economic factors.. that's why A is the correct answer for this question.

However, explanations in other forums state that second doctrine is rightly mistaken because it's apparently stating that all historical events are explained by psychological factors and psychological factors only. But I don't really understand how this is inferred from the statement in the stim - "The second doctrine attempts to account psychologically for all historical events." Does "attempts to account psychologically for all historical events" infer that historical events are accounted only through psychologically?

I felt like LR questions were more straight forward and less tricky than other PTs I took in 70s and 80s. I had 3mins in the end to come back to questions I wasn’t sure of.

RC is the one I cant really gauge how I did. I especially struggled with the comparative passage which I did last. I ended up guessing the last two questions on that passage.

LG felt pretty normal but I struggled with two questions on the third in/out game. Seemed pretty simple at first but had a lot of rules to track. Was eating my time so had to come back after finishing the fourth game.

Overall, I didn’t think it was unusually harder than I expected maybe because I was anticipating the worst haha.. it was my first real lsat so really not sure about my performance

Question 18. I understand E is the best answer here by POE but I'm still not understanding why E is not illegal for Canadian and US common law. Paragraph 3, author talks about illegality of blackmailing lies on its triangular structure and the misuse of third party leverage. Wouldn't "public" be the third party leverage here and this would be considered illegal as a blackmail? Is it not supported because paragraph 3 is author's opinion rather than what is actually true for Canadian and US common law?

I tried creating but it didn't let me register as a LSAT test taker - seems like we need to do it through LSAC. still waiting for the instruction but nothing. For May FLEX takers, how soon did you guys get the instruction for registering?

Seeking advice on going back to logic CC

Hi fellow 7Sagers :) it's my first time posting on here but would really appreciate your advice.

I'm scoring around low to mid 160s and BRing around 170-175 range. My biggest challenge is that my LR scores fluctuate a lot (from -2 to -7 per section before BR). I'm mostly missing level 4/5 questions that are logic heavy (e.g. parallel flawed question, method of reasoning, etc.). It takes me over 2 mins to answer these questions as I'm slow at drawing out conditional logic. So would like to ask if anyone scoring around my range benefited from going back to the core curriculum or any tips on being more accurate/fast at this types of questions? (drilling by question type, etc.) And any other tips on narrowing gap between actual to BR score would be much appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Question type: Principle

Context: effective test has been developed to predict fatal disease and person can now be warned well in advance

Premise: medicine is not yet able to prevent these disease and simply being informed can be quite harmful to some people

Conclusion: this raises question of whether such "early warning" tests should be made available at all

Main point: advance in medical tech/medince is raising a new question

A - advance of medicine fails to provide solutions to every problem. - this may be correct answer if this question was a MSS question because this cannot be disproven. however, for principle question, we need to find an answer that best illustrates the principle / theme underlying the argument

B - advance of medicine creates new contexts in which ethical dillemmas can arise. - I initally liked the second half of the sentence but eliminated this ac because I thought "medicine" was specifically referring to the medicine itself but it actually can mean more of a broad category of medical field. therefore, this is the correct answer as it captures the principle of this argument

C - medical tech continue to advance increasing our knowledge and understanding of the disease - this would also be correct if this was MSS question because argument does talk about this. however, it does not capture the main principle of this argument which is this new advancement in medical field raises other issue (ethical dillemma).

D - the more we come to learn, the more we realize how little we know - this is neither supported by the info in stimulus nor captures the main theme of the argument. it's not that the more we learn about the medicine, the more we realize how little we know about medicine. it's that by knowing more about one field, new/different type of dillemma can arise (doesn't necessarily mean that we know less)

E - the advance of technology is of questionable value - i initially chose this answer because I equivocated "advance of tech" as the effective medical test and that it is of questionable value because we don't know if it should be made available to people or not. However, compared to ac B, "technology" is a very broad term and argument is not necessarily stating that this effective test is of questionable value. we know this is valuable finding but we just have doubt about it raising ethical dillemma when made available to everyone. we need to understand the key point of this argument which is having more advance knowledge in one field can create new issue in other field of matter (ehtical).

Takeaway:

For principle question (best illustrates), I need to first identify what the theme/principle of the argument is and look for an answer that best captures this message.

Possible wrong answers in principle question:

1. it can be supported by the stimuli but does not capture the main point of the argument (answer choice A, C)

2. it sounds like it captures the main point but it goes little too far or talking about a different point (answer choice E)

3. it is not supported by the stimuli (answer choice D)
