@ interesting, I have never heard (or really even gave a thought) to the link between the GMAT writing sample and non-native English speakers. Wish me luck as I'm tutoring Egyptian students in the LSAT during a long term stay in Cairo this fall!

Is anyone in the Online Writing Section Pilot?

A few weeks back I received an email invitation from the LSAC to participate in an Online writing portion (still unclear if this would have replaced my September 2018 in-person section). However, LSAC had over 3,000 applicants accept the invite so I wasn't among one of the ones selected. Are any of you doing the pilot writing section online in the next few weeks?

If you're not doing the pilot, what do you think of the writing section being on a separate day than the rest of the LSAT?

Can't speak for iPhones, but I would suggest a video compressor software. We Transfer is one I like and have used with success before.

#help What makes answer choice D less correct apart from the "well run" criteria for Wally's nursery? The rest of the answer choice sounds correct to me because a large nursery would not sell a faulty plant to a commercial grower, thus either Wally is not a large nursery, or Johnson is not a commercial raspberry grower, or both.

If you are in a library, there is no need to generate background noise. Just sit in a busier section of the library and enjoy the naturally generated annoying background noise.

Unfortunately the quiet section of my university library is already loud! That's it's own discussion though.

Bump. I'm a fellow 2017 grad and curious about this as well...

It feels like failure to push law school down the road another year.

@ I wouldn't mind going over yours. Personally I'm planning on public interest related to housing insecurity. Let's talk!

Why not just print a new copy?

My paper gets super messy after some games, and from a visual standpoint there's just no more room for me to write/diagram.

@ thanks! I'm really basic so I just use my phone timer for tests. The app background noises may draw some awkward stares in the quiet section of the library where I tend to sit :P

Personally, I bring my LSAT materials to work, so once I finish a test or game it goes in the trash to lighten my commute. One of the great things about 7sage is that you can score a PT on your computer and then there's no need to stockpile the paper versions.

@ good idea on the neutral noise! I don't like studying anywhere too quiet because it's certainly not what test conditions will be like either.

Btw if anyone is interested in criminal law, I'm currently listening to Ear Hustle. It's actually recorded in a California jail by two inmates. I recommend everyone check it out!

Podcasts while foolproofing Logic Games?

Hi all, although this is my first time posting, I've already been studying for the LSAT starting from September. As such, I'm decently familiar with the general structure of logic games.

My question to everyone is, do you think it's counterproductive to listen to podcasts while re-doing logic games from previous PTs that I've already done? It's in my nature to try to do multiple things at one time, but I'm wondering if I'm hurting my retention of the game inferences by listening to a podcast in the background. Obviously I do not do podcasts while practicing the other LSAT sections, however logic games are just more tedious because I'll re-do each one at least 5 times if not more during foolproofing, and I really like the extra stimulation of sound in the background. Am I the only one who does this?
