Same Score Three Times

I've now scored 168 three times with a 166 sandwiched in between. PTs have been consistently above 170 of late but clearly it hasn't happened on the real thing. Already registered for one last rip in August. Anybody else managed to pull this ignominious feat? I need to commiserate.

I think the main section to worry about in regards to cheating or advantages to be gained later in the week is LG. It would be very easy to just tape up your scratch paper and review your work afterwards. It’s not like they’re making you put the sheets through a paper shredder. Not to mention it is not difficult to recall game boards and at least a few of the rules, especially if it was your last section.

Bartender and applicant for next year's cycle here. I've been out of work for the duration of the pandemic, so this has been causing me great stress as well. But, as the above poster said, I'd like to think adcomms are aware of the unprecedented situation. Fingers crossed, because the job market is going to stay garbage for some time, especially in my case.

Got LR-LG-RC. My LR was the dinosaur claw/walnut cholesterol/lottery section mentioned a number of times. Found a couple of early questions to be unexpectedly bewildering. Had a minor panic attack but managed to pull it together and finish out the section with 3-4 minutes for review. Think I may have been able to fix a few early questions with that time. At least I hope so.

Found the first 3 LG to be straightforward and had a healthy amount of time left going into game 4. Definitely needed it.

RC was difficult but nothing out of the ordinary if you've been doing PTs in the 80s. Just hoping my LG/RC performance offset my nerves during the LR section.

Much like the above commenter I had LR-LG-RC-LG. I bombed the first LG but it seems that was experimental. Thank god. Third and fourth games killed me. The second one had a third game with romance and thriller movies, fourth game was fencing pairs. Felt way better about that set.

LR had swedish import shop, dark feathered bird, greek mythology dialogue question.

RC was symbiosis, privatization, nigerian literature and one other I'm not recalling. There seems to be another RC section floating around with a nigerian language passage and another on physics. Some are confusing the two.

I had the same LR section. How you think it was difficulty wise? I legit cant even remember how I think I did on it lol

I always have a hard time diagnosing the difficulty of LR after the fact. I'd say it felt medium difficulty?? not insane but certainly not easier than normal. Same for my RC section.

Can someone clarify here? LSAC says "We are also announcing the June 2021 test date, as well as test dates for the entire next cycle, which will begin in August and run through June 2022". That makes it sound like the June test is NOT part of the next cycle of tests, but I was under the impression that you can only take 3 tests in a cycle "June1-May31". In other words, does taking the June 2021 test count towards the 20-21 year limit or the 21-22 year limit?

I would also like to see this clarified as April will be my 3rd attempt and I've been relying on June as a worst-case scenario backup. In the case that I need it, really would be a drag to wait until August.

Looked into it a little more and it seems that the June '21 test does indeed count toward the 20-21 year limit. Wish I had known this sooner.

During my test, (my camera light was on the whole time) the proctor sent me a chat that they were no longer to see me and wanted to take control of the screen to fix the issue- this notification was only noticeable if i had opened up the chat which was minimized on my screen so I didn't see it as I was currently in the middle of a section. 9 minutes later, they alerted me again that they could not see me and this time the chat promptly opened on my screen and I instantly let them take control and fix things, even though it took time away from my testing. Now I'm worried that the LSAC will flag/ cancel my score because of this issue. Should I take any steps to reach out and explain this situation or is it out of my hands? I feel like since they can verbally communicate at all times they could have done more to let me know that this was a problem instead of waiting so much time.

I had the same issue. Log on to your LSAC account and file a test day complaint. You can try to get a retake if you feel it hurt your score, though no guarantees it will be granted. Other options are canceling and asking for a refund on future exam or keeping your score.

Shitty experience. My 3rd take. The proctor booted me out of the test in the middle of my reading comprehension section as they claimed my video feed was off. The green light next to my built-in camera was on the whole time. Doesn't make sense to me. Anyhow, thanks to this I was out of the test for 3-4 minutes while they reestablished the feed. Wonderful way to ruin my retention of the passage I was working on. Will be filling out a complaint form but don't know if I'll have any luck getting a retake. Thoughts from anyone with experience requesting a retake would be much appreciated.

@ @ good to know. Seems like we've all had similar experiences. I'll be sending an appeal this week.

Worth An Appeal??

My situation is as follows: Next week's flex will be my third take, with November 2020 and January 2021 being my prior attempts. Since at least 2019, the LSAT testing year has run June-May, so I assumed the June 2021 test would not count towards the three takes per testing year rule. I've been operating under this assumption since I started studying last July. But, with LSAC's announcement in March that this year's testing cycle will start in August, I'm effectively barred from registering for June and will have to wait until August if I decide a 4th take is necessary. This really throws a wrench in my plans as I want to avoid any overlap between LSAT prep and personal statements, essays etc. I get the sense that this cycle change came at least in part as a result of the number of FLEX exams last year that didn't count towards test takers' limits. If this is the case, I feel I'm being penalized for something I wasn't even able to take advantage of....all tests starting with October 2020 do count towards the limit. Curious to see if anyone thinks I have a legitimate case here...or if LSAC has ever been known to show a hint of compassion lmao. I mean, some people took this thing 7 damn times last year.....

Confirm action

Are you sure?
