I think he was trying to say that if the stim had similar quantity for both days, controlling for the variable of quantity, but different foods it would align with the answer choice because it would be dealing with "favorite foods" so he made noises for the bananas only.
I might be wrong but I see it as question one here makes the claim that in cold climates the testing method can date sites a million years old in cooler regions. This is supported by the claim that scientists have used this method to date items in Africa that are 200k years old. In the example you stated there are alot of claims made but no conclusion. There is no new idea being expressed that is not solely based on the facts. I don't know if that makes complete sense but thats how I see it.
If the answer is not under the domain we know the answer is wrong. Those details are taken into account, without having to evaluate the whole answer. In terms of intentionality being in the domain, the answer not having that lets us know our evaluation will not apply to that answer.
