Help with parallel flaw and parallel reasoning

Hey everyone,

Ever since I've been studying, I've had some trouble with parallel flaw/reasoning questions. Not really sure what it is about them that's giving me so much trouble, but out of all the question types, I've seen the least improvement with these two. How do you approach these questions? What is your strategy, and what, if anything, helped you perform consistently well on these two question types?

Thanks for the help.

For anyone who had the LR RC LR LR LG setup, where the 2nd and 3rd LRs were 25 questions, I believe the second one that had a question about natural acid on human skin was the experimental. Anyone else remember that question? It was towards the end.

I felt like the 25 question LR wasn’t too bad. The one with the burglaries question. The 26 question one was harder. And dear god I’m so happy the other 25 question LR was experimental because I was not happy with that one lol.

I also felt like LG was easy. Am I crazy? They were all of no more than medium difficulty. And we didn’t get a wild miscellaneous game either. No easy games, but also no hard ones either.

Argh. 3 weeks. It’s going to drag.

I felt like the LG was tame this time. No crazy miscellaneous game.

Can we confirm that one LR had 26 Qs?

Was the 25 question LR with skin acid real? Please say no lol.

I remember stomach acid of cows. I don't remember skin acid? But I understand the LR experimental was 26 Q. Unless there are different experimentals?

And acid of cows was also burglaries I believe right?

I think some had a 26q experimental and some a 25q experimental.

Was the RC with Kapuchik and Placebos/Trademark and Copyright Law/Native American rock art experimental or real?

It was real.

I don't do this myself, but I think that a lot of people who are gauging time spent on individual questions do it by recording video of themselves doing a section and reviewing it afterward. I do sort of gauge my time by checking my watch when I turn a page in the test. Like in LR sections, I like to not spend too much time in the beginning, so ideally the first 10 questions are done in 10 minutes. So I kind of check my pace as I go.

Same here. I check my watch every page or so during timed sections to make sure I'm spending an appropriate amount of time on questions. I mainly do this during the first 10 to 15 questions, and not so much the final 10 when questions become harder.

Did anyone else find the second LR hard? It felt way harder than the first one. I was hoping the experimental LR was real.. smh.

Is there somewhere to buy a digital copy of them in that case? Besides 7Sage.. I don’t want to have to buy a package just to get the tests.

Where can I buy 5 section PTs?

Like the title states, I'm looking to buy 5-section PTs, specifically PT 76 onward. I know Amazon sells packets that are 4-section PTs, but is there somewhere to buy the full official 5-section ones?

Thanks for the help.

A question regarding flaw questions

This may be something obvious to a lot of people, and may be something subconsciously obvious to me, but nevertheless it’s something that today I noticed and paused to think about.

On a specific flaw question that asks you to identify an error in the reasoning (not sure if I’m allowed to discuss specific questions as a free user), I noticed that there were two sets of reasons that the author gave to support their argument. The first seemed legitimate, the second a clear error. In situations like this, do you accept the first reason as legitimate but then take issue with the second reason? I think I know that the answer is yes, but I’m still curious to hear what people have to say/think, and if people separate sets of reasonings like how I just did above. For curiosity’s sake.

Thanks.

Personal Statement Review

Hi Peeps. I'm looking to swap / send my personal statement with the hopes of receiving very honest and critical feedback. I would love to get some fresh eyes on it from all you brilliant 7Sagers, and would be happy to also review others' statements in return.

If interested let me know! Thanks.

So for people who had the Lr test section and order went Lr Rc Lr Lr Lg do we know which of the LRs was the experimental? I found the 1st and 3rd to be easy and the 2nd to be more challenging personally. Can't remember the specifics of any of them though.

Kinda felt the same as you...had the same section order and the second LR was significantly more time consuming due to a large number of strengthen and weaken questions. Crossing my fingers

Right up there with you guys. I was really hoping the first LR would be one of the real ones. I thought maybe the first and second ones would be real and the last one would be the experimental, but sadly not.

Does our LSAC account get updated first or do we get an email with our score first?

So... Do we obsessively refresh at midnight on Friday... Or do score releases happen around midday, evening, by midnight on Saturday??

They should start releasing scores Saturday morning. That's how September scores went.

I am confused as to which LR section was my experimental? I had LR-RC-LR-LR-LG.

I had a total of 25 questions for each LR section, 27 for RC, and 23 for LG.

I have LR- RC- LR- LG- LR and also did not have a LR section with 26 questions. Do you have the same order?

Are you sure about that? I think one of the real sections was 26 questions..

I would much rather take the test in paper form and wait for scores. The LSAT to me just doesn't feel like a digital test. But I am biased because I prefer reading from paper in general.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
