[I am posting on behalf of a 7Sage user. Please feel free to leave your comments below. Thank you so much for your help!]

Hello! I started studying for the LSAT March of 2021 and took it twice in August 2021 and November 2021 (had not used 7Sage to prepare). Both times, I experienced something strange with the LR section: it was as if I had never seen the section. I wasn't able to process the words or make sense of the questions or able to see the patterns associated with the question types (as I usually am during studying and practice tests). The first time around, I thought this may be happening because I am not as prepared as I should be but the second time, I felt prepared. I have been following the Core Curriculum and it has helped me tremendously. My PTs after starting the CC have been 166 and 163 respectively (as opposed to my 158 official score both times). I will be taking the test September 2022 so I have a solid 3 months to reach my goal of 172+ but I am worried about experiencing what I did for the LR section my previous two administrations. What do you think this could be and how can I ensure that this doesn't happen again during my September test? Looking forward to your response, thank you!

Hey @, you can go to Drills. Under Drilling Mode, create an LR drill with xx questions, limited to 'Tags and PrepTests.' This will show you how many clean LR questions you have left among all the remaining PrepTests. Please see the screenshot below:

Let me know if you have any further questions. I’m happy to help!

Quick question on the conditional statement of the logic games.

This problem is from the Grouping and Sequencing Games lesson and for the statement "either P or L or both are selected" and the explanation for it is if not P then L ( shown in photo) so what does including "both" reference? doesn't it also mean it can be both P AND L as well?

Thank you in advance!

Hey @ , Could you let us know which PT you need help with? This way, other 7Sagers can jump in and provide you with an explanation.

Also, just a heads-up, make sure to quickly review the Formatting Guidelines when posting a specific LSAT question here.

Thanks!

@, sorry about that!Since the time of this post, we've made some updates. We recently removed a few RC lessons that we considered outdated, and we're planning to replace them with new content in the near future. Additionally, we've also updated the Foundation lessons, so there have been changes across the board, not just in LR.

We're continuously working to refine our materials and provide you with the best possible experience. If you have any more questions or observations, feel free to share. Your feedback is instrumental in helping us improve!

Each administration’s discounted test date change deadline is also the last day to request a partial $50 refund.

After the discounted test date change deadline, you may continue to request test date changes for the full registration fee of $222. Your request must be made by 11:59 p.m. (ET) the day before testing begins.

If you find you are unable to take the LSAT after the test date change and refund deadlines have passed, please withdraw your registration through your LSAC online account by 11:59 p.m. (ET), the day before you are scheduled to test. Withdrawing your registration will prevent an absentee notation from appearing on your LSAC file.

Given the expressed preference of the substantial majority of test takers, the LSAC will continue to provide the LSAT in an online, live remote-proctored format.

I would like to get advices on how can I consistently improve until my test? I'm doing PT's more frequently now leading up to my test but ideally I need to score in the mid to high 150s. I blind review and watch the videos after too but my biggest problem is changing my thought process for LR.

    Thank you in advance!

[I am posting on behalf of a 7Sage user. Please feel free to leave your comments below. Thank you for your help!]

I saw in the video that JY recommended us to "circle" the wrong answers for "except" questions during paper tests. For online test, would you recommend any substitute method?

What I was more confused about is how to avoid choose the opposite choice for "except" questions and if there is a special tactic for the "except" questions.

I'm feeling a major loss of confidence right now. I completed the LR curriculum with 7 Sage, and I'm consistently scoring -5/-6 on Logical Reasoning. I seem to not be able to get to the last 5 questions every time. What would you suggest I do next?

    Important Updates from LSAC

    Hi everyone,

LSAC provided the following updates today:

Registration is now open for all 2022-2023 LSAT Administrations

As of 7:30 a.m. ET today, May 12, registration is open for all 2022-2023 LSAT administrations, starting with the August 2022 LSAT through the June 2023 LSAT. There will be four administrations in the summer/fall period, and four test administrations in winter/spring. LSAC has aligned the test administrations so that score release dates fall before the registration deadline for the second subsequent test. This was done to ensure that test takers who may wish to re-test will be able to see their results before deciding to register for a future test.

    Pricing for 2022-2023 cycle

To address the rising costs associated with administering the test, the fee for the LSAT will be $215 for the 2022-2023 cycle. The test date change fee will move from $125 to $135, and the score audit fee will move from $125 to $150. All other fees remain the same.

    LSAC’s expanded fee waiver program

LSAC has expanded its fee waiver program to make more people eligible and added a new tier for individuals who don’t qualify for the full fee waiver but still need some assistance. These changes have enabled more candidates to qualify for our fee waivers.

Under the expanded program, independent individuals earning less than 250% of the federal poverty guidelines may be eligible for the Tier 1 fee waiver, which provides the following services for free: two LSAT tests, Credential Assembly Service, six law school reports, a one-year LawHub LSAT PrepPlus subscription, and one Score Preview. Independent individuals earning more than 250% but less than 300% of the federal poverty guidelines may be eligible for the Tier 2 fee waiver, which provides one LSAT test, Credential Assembly Service, four law school reports, a one-year LawHub LSAT PrepPlus subscription, and one Score Preview. Detailed eligibility information is available on LSAC's website.

Two new free programs for prospective students

LSAC is offering two online programs to help students make sense of the law school admission process and the world of law school itself – (1) Law School Unmasked™, a program designed for students planning to enroll in law school this fall, which will run from June 7 through June 23, and (2) Admission Unmasked™, a program designed for anyone planning to apply to law school in the upcoming cycle or later, which will run June 20 through July 29.

Both programs are free to LawHub members, and students can register for either program within their LawHub account.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to LSAC by contacting them via email at LSACinfo@LSAC.org or calling them at 215-968-1001.

I'm still not clear on the contrapositive since there can never be a scenario where there is no table, according to the rules (Irene buys 4 items), whether the footstool or vanity is in or out. If this contrapositive is a true expression, is it not indicating that there IS a scenario where there is no table AND no footstool? Am I thinking about it wrong?

Contrapositives have always made sense and worked for me in many other questions, except this one. This is why I tried including a conjunction with the X (wood), because I was trying to figure out how to keep the existence of a table apart and separate from the existence of a table made from a particular wood (almost as if it were a 6th furniture option), but couldn't figure it out. I truly hope my question makes sense.

Hi @-7b! For the community to better assist you, may I know the passage number of your question? For logical reasoning questions, please use the title format: "PT#.S#.Q# - brief description of question" E.g. PT37.S1.Q12 - Political scientist: Efforts to create a more egalitarian" Thanks!

    Hey @,

Since you're working through the Foundations lessons, I'd recommend watching J.Y.'s Core Curriculum: Foundations live class, this is a great class for a beginner student. If you want to start at the beginning, just click the "previous" button at the bottom of the series page to find all of the recorded classes.

If you want to supplement your studies with more classes than just J.Y.'s, you can also filter our events page for the "beginner" classes. This will help you better decide which other live classes you'd like to attend. Please be sure to work through the Core Curriculum while attending live classes. Although helpful, it's meant to supplement your work with the Core Curriculum, not replace it entirely.

Also, the Study Schedule only includes lessons from the Core Curriculum and not the live classes because the live classes often change depending on the needs of the students and not all students are enrolled to live classes as well.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Hey @ , welcome to 7Sage!

The length of time it takes to work through our Core Curriculum varies from student to student as it depends on how much time they have dedicated to study. The course is self-paced so you can choose how you would like to study.

We generally recommend that students work through the Syllabus in order. However, you can choose which Lesson you would like to work on by tapping on that Lesson title. Our LSAT Analytics can help break down your areas of weakness to help you figure out where to target your studies.

Hey @, when you pin a question in your drilling session, it means that you want to review it later, but it won't remove it from the drilling pool. So, rest assured, all the questions you got wrong, even if pinned, will still be in the pool of questions for your future Drill sessions. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Happy studying!

I have started with the foundation lesson and I am now doing the introduction to arguments. When studying for the LSAT using 7 sage the way I am tackling it, is by watching, taking notes from the videos and lessons, and reviewing them. Is that the right way to go about it?
