I worked through evey page og powerscore LG and my score did not improve. I've been doing 7sage LG for a couple weeks. Score is improving. I trust in JY's method because it has given me results by actually helping me to UNDERSTAND what is going on. The double not arrow didn't help me understand anything, actually.

7sage on Firefox stopped working for me about 2 weeks ago (win10). Same problem as you guys mentioned.

There are some people who are unable to pass public high school courses, let alone achieve a 170 on the lsat. Everybody is different. I don't think there's much point in dwelling on what other people can or can't do.

For you: there's only one way to find out.

I found the whole test to be pretty easy except for two parts.

The first difficult part was RC4 (i.e. Brain Scan). I don't know what happened here--maybe I panicked?--but I kept looking at every answer for the last 4 or 5 questions and just couldn't pick out the right one.

The second hard part was LG4, the trading game. I got to the question with 5 or 6 minutes and just panicked and picked B.

I do think I can get a high score despite messing up these two areas. If I got them all wrong that's only a -10 or so.

Oshawa/Durham/Toronto PT Group

Hi guys,

Let's get ready for June together! I find that 7sage is great for self study, but when it comes to writing PTs I like to put myself in an environment where other people are writing, too. I find I perform better around real people and it makes PTs go down easier when you're not the only one doing it.

I was thinking of getting a little group going where we get together once a week and write a PT, BR it and then discuss answers. I'm in Oshawa but I would be happy to meet in Toronto.

(As always, don't share your personal information publicly -- just post here if you're interested and I'll get it going.)

How do they calculate the curve?

So some people are speculating that Deccember's LSAT will be between a -10 and -12 curve. My question is, how does LSAC determine their curve? Is it arbitrary or is it based on our collective performance?

Follow-up question: Are the scaled scores pegged to a percentile score? For example, is a 160 always equivalent to an 80 percentile? Or does it vary?

My thoughts? Why would they look at your writing sample when they have your personal statement?

June 2015 Score (Cold): 158

December 2016 Score (7sage, powerscore, etc): 162

+4, all in LG.

Not a big improvement for 1.5 years of studying, but it's enough for my purposes and I did hit my target score.

@ Don't cancel. Since this is your first write, at least use it as a diagnostic. If you cancel you won't see your score.

@ Precisely my experience! If that 2nd LR were real, that would be so good... but people are saying it wasn't the real one. Seemed too easy anyhow.

I did all the LGs from PT 1-20. And I wrote every other PT from 1-20, and BRed them. I found it helpful, but I'd prioritize the games. Doing the more recent full PTs is almost surely a better option.

Did it say "stress" or "high stress"? The LSAT has a few questions on stress, and the answer is often distinguishing high levels of stress from normal levels of stress. Not sure if that's applicable here.

@ Thanks for that link. Looking at the previous few years' December tests, their wait times to release scores are all approximately thirty days, which is about a week later than June/Sept tests (probably due to the holiday).

I'm not too worried about personally receiving my score; I'm just hoping that the schools I've applied to for Sept. 27 will consider the December scores before they give out too many rounds of rolling admissions.

I would recommend talking to students at the school you are interested in to ask them what scores they and their classmates were accepted with. As Stevie said, you can also check the school's average admission scores.

I did 7sage lessons in almost a random order. It's usually better to go in the order that JY recommends, BUT, you'll notice that JY often says, "For this lesson, it's critical that you have done the lesson on Invalid Argument Forms, so if you haven't done so, go back and do that first."

Generally the lessons keep you on track and make sure you're not missing the fundamentals.

So, any educated guessed on when we should expect results? December or January? What has LSAC been doing lately?

@ They could make an example of someone and disqualify him/her. That would het the others in line fast. Or at least give a warning that anybody with a phone out in 60 seconds will be DQ'd.

Are scores really released Jan 4? I wrote last December and received my score the same month. Also, if you google "how long to find out lsat score" google responds with "about three weeks". The article is from 2010, however.

@ Are you really surprised? How else could the proctor ensure that you weren't using Tissue Code?

1 tissue = A

2 tissues = B

1 tissue folded in half = C

2 tissues folded in half = D

crumpled tissue = E

I was LR-RC-LR-LG-LR. I don't remember any of the questions.. does anybody who had my pattern know which LR of the three (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) was experimental?
