So now that test day has come and gone, so have all of our anxieties.
Right?
Well, no. https://media.giphy.com/media/lNMyVfxjfzIJO/giphy.gif Now we've got a brutal wait before test scores come out. You'll estimate how you did on each section, put it all together, and come up with a score range you think you're likely to have achieved. And then you'll toss that out the window and run the whole process over again. One moment you'll be thinking optimistically, the next you'll be certain that you did even worse than you could possibly have imagined. https://media.giphy.com/media/1FMaabePDEfgk/giphy.gif I'd tell you not to do this, but you will anyway. So just know that you're being dramatic! It's normal, everyone else is doing it, and you're almost certainly wrong. Regardless, it's done with and dwelling on it won't change anything anyway. So, do as little of that as you can manage. Another thing to not drive yourself crazy with: Constantly checking and refreshing LSAC. https://media.giphy.com/media/tei52cyY5mroA/giphy.gif Scores will come when they come. You will get an email the moment your scores post, and the email will contain your score. Assuming you have some kind of notification settings on your phone, this means that the exact moment you have access to your score, you will be notified. So let's all try to be like a bunch of little Fonzies here. And what's Fonzie like?
So, some things to do during the wait instead of freaking out:
Applications! Get those things ready to fire off! When the scores get published, schools are going to get a wave of apps and if you can be ready to be on the front end of that, all the better. So be prepared!https://media.giphy.com/media/13HBDT4QSTpveU/giphy.gif
Friends. Remember those people from before the LSAT that you used to do things with? See what those guys are up to.
https://media.giphy.com/media/sdrYL2r9dYhpu/giphy.gif
Read. I read the whole Harry Potter series during my wait. It really helped. But you do you. What's your thing? Read all the Star Wars books or Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire or The Complete Works of Shakespeare or your favorite smutty romance novels. https://media1.giphy.com/media/l0MYtRl33WaN4HGBq/200.gif#19
Netflix. Like reading, but better! https://media2.giphy.com/media/nwleaG1TObWsE/200.gif#0
Netflix and chill. Like Netflix, but better! https://media2.giphy.com/media/lZDb2PNgLXdoA/200.gif#2
Hobbies. What are some of the things you used to enjoy doing? Do those things. Personally, I like brewing beer, camping, writing, video games, keeping up with new music, etc. Done with LSAT, I was free for the first time in a long time to engage with the things I enjoy. https://media.giphy.com/media/SE95wexIfovzq/giphy.gif
Treat yo Self. You deserve it. That one thing on your Amazon wish list that's been calling you for months now? https://media1.giphy.com/media/V9zqL1ZILNTmE/200.gif#7 That really nice bottle of wine you've been saving for an occasion? https://media3.giphy.com/media/8fn9oF6IPZoEE/200.gif#11 That really nice pair of jeans that really makes your ass look fantastic? https://media0.giphy.com/media/13SDiAmoCH2nw4/200.gif#73
So there's plenty to keep yourself occupied, but of course, your pending score will inevitably force itself to the front of your mind from time to time. And when it does, we have been there/are right there with you. So do try to be cool, but when you can't, we'll freak out and speculate with you. We're here.

Next weekend, the weekend we should be learning our scores, is another law school visit day for me. I have a feeling I found the one I prefer so far, but ya never know until you go check it out. Definitely helping me to keep my eye on the ball.
Checked my email this morning and the first email's subject line was in all caps:
**THE RESULTS ARE IN!**
I almost had a heart attack...
(Then I saw it was from a charity to which I had donated that did a fundraiser for Veteran's Day)
So bummed out right now.
Been playing some video games. I took your pre-test advice and applied it to post - test @pcainti665
Adding to this--maybe scheduling some on-campus visits could be helpful. And getting some movies.

Oh my goodness! This thread is full of so many amazing Sagers from the past! I hope they’re all killing it now!
As for the current sagers, breath and relax! You got this!

Seriously can anything distract from the anxiety of waiting for application responses?? Especially for those who applied earlier in October ugh. I actually don’t look forward to having time off work for the holidays.
Not to make anyone waiting for your LSAT score feel worse, but I hate waiting for admissions decisions a whole lot more than I ever did waiting for my LSAT score. I did not think it was possible, but it is

Bumping this up for anybody else who may also need to read this.

This also characterizes every second of my mental state from the moment I walked out of the testing room until now.
Powerscore is predicting that scores will not be released early for this administration. See their blog for details.
I think with the hurricane delays and the recent history, I would expect the scores to be released on the 12th, maybe a day early. Sadly, because I'm dying inside with anticipation.

@vanessadfisher628 According to the LSAC, the projected release date for the September scores is October 12.
As part of a recent trend, the LSAC has been sending scores out 1-3 days early. But, they've released it as early as 13 days early in years past.
See here: http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/lsat-score-release-dates-scheduled-vs-actual-comparison
Is it normally 2 or 3 weeks before we get scores?
I've decided to read an 800 page book on the political regime and life story of MAO to occupy my time. Lol
I HATE THIS WAIT :(
I'd recommend staying away from all the blogs around grey day. In my experience, they increased the anxiety ten-fold.
Thank you! This made me smile! :-)
Thank you!! Such good advice! I can't wait to read those trashy magazines and 90 day fiancé. Guilty pleasures!!! We deserve, NAY- earned this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@jhaldy10325 yeah it's funny. I guess I was holding things together so much and had such a solid routine going, down to the time I drank my tea in the morning :) As soon as it was done, I just felt this gaping hole, and all my routines weren't there, so I guess there was room for the anxiety to finally seep in
Yeah, that's how I've always been as well @vanessadfisher628 . Last year, I did great leading up to and during the test. Afterwards though, not as much.
@jhaldy10325 thanks for this thread!
Funnily, I was actually fine for the most part before the test. Slept really well the night before, was pretty calm during the test. Now I'm feeling all the anxiety lol. Didn't sleep at all last night. I'll get back to my meditation :)
Bump for my September folks.
@fmihalic2127 I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the experimental sections are testing that individual questions, months whole section. So you wouldn't see a whole experimental data section from Junes lsat on say the December 2023 LSAT. As for how long before the individual questions start showing up, I have no idea, but I would guess they wait at least 5 years to minimize the amount of takers who are seeing questions for a second time.
Hey gang,
Just out of curiosity, how long does it take a section that was issued as experimental to be used as a scored section? The things I think about...
woke up this morning in a start from an lsat dream... they released our scores after only a week.
weirdest thing is to not have pt81 to blind review. i keep having flashbacks to material from the test, but can't review it.
@johninsask985 I totally get what you mean. This Saturday, I didn't have to do a practice test or go into work. It was very strange
