I would wait. I tried to study for three and a half months while working full time. Never really learned how to properly diagram logic games and ended up with a 164 in November. I was super stressed about applying last cycle and tested before I was ready. I was basically praying I would get lucky on LG and was basically shaking with anxiety during that section. I retook this spring and I was much more confident and prepared. I scored much better second go around. Don't test before you're ready. For me, I've gotten better at LR just by repeated exposure to all of the tests and the corresponding 7sage vids. The extra time really is worth it.
This is probably the hardest LR question I’ve ever seen.
That question stem oof Glad this was only review
-2 on this section. 21 is a toughie
The wording on these old questions is so weird
Finished my first Flex earlier today with RC-LR-LG layout.RC passages were AA culture, European forests, acoustic law and fish skin. I felt Passage 3 was difficult to navigate but the others were easily manageable. I am usually -0-3 for RC and I expect a similar result.
LR was relatively typical although there were two questions I thought were rather tough. The geese question was especially memorable. I think I was somewhere between -1-4
The first 3 LG were very doable but I sunk way too much time into games 1 and 3. By the time I reached game 4, I had like 7:30 mins left. Got through three questions and had to guess on the last two with like :20 left. :( This is typically my worst section and I have a feeling I bombed this with like -5. On the bright side, the rule substitution question was not nearly as tough as some of the others on recent tests
Was shooting for 167+ so I am expecting to probably just scrape by or just miss. Signed up for the January LSAT and intend to intensively drill LG for the next month and a half.
I HATE these questions but if you diagram them they're rather cookie cutter. They look intimidating and I really hate wading through all the words lol but they're not that bad
Take your time. I answered 2/23 correct on my first LSAT games section. Reading Comprehension came very quickly to me but I was still not comfortable diagramming 2 months into prep. I had never interacted with formal logic or anything remotely similar to a LG. I attempted to take the exam without fully mastering the section because I just wanted to test and get my application in last cycle. Test day did not go well and I ended up stressing out and mechanistically forcing the games. Didn't finish the section and scored in the mid-160's in November after having aced the other two sections. Felt like a total waste of 2 great sections and 3 months worth of studying. I took a month off of LSAT prep and then casually did some games every other day or so. Read the LG Bible again and watched a lot of these videos. I just tried to let it come naturally and opted to pass on the January LSAT because I wasn't confident. One day, it just inexplicably clicked. I started to see all of the patterns and similarities between games. I realized that they are doable and many of the questions I was missing were silly. LG became fun and when I took the test again it was a more comfortable experience and I did much, much better. So, seriously, take your time and don't test before you're ready. Confidence can be key
Very tough passage but if you can get over the shock and complete the (much) easier fourth passage quickly I think this one gets a lot easier if you have time to read the first part twice. I had ten mins and I just blanketed this passage as I was doing the questions. After 16 or 17, I had a better grasp of what the authors were saying and the set as a whole became more straightforward
This section was brutal. I went -0 in section 4 and -3 here and I could have easily missed another one or two.
I am shooting for the same score for February. Heavy focus has been on consistently getting -0-2 on RC. I exceeded my target for M20, my most recent Preptest, but I managed to only miss a combined 2 on RC and LR, which I am not sure I'll be able to count on repeating under the pressure of a real exam. Have been studying heavily for about 4 months and I've only recently started to feel confident I could pull it off.
