Hi Guys,

I was seeing if anyone would like to partner up and do a study session. I am aiming to be in the 99th percentile on the test and looking for those that are also studying to aim the same score. Even though this doesn't matter, a little bit about me, I speak Spanish and Portuguese, am a Christian as well. So even if we don't share those interests no problem, it is just cool to meet people that also share the same interests too. I also have an interest in studying Immigration Law. Thanks so much everyone!

Sincerely,

Matthew

I am looking to create a study group that is a hybrid of online and in person. I am from Atlanta and would love to get more people in my inperson study group if possible.

When I started this journey in March, I quickly realized that having a community around you works wonders for the psyche and for scoring well on the test. I got a 158 on the April LSAT, only studying for a few weeks and using a book. I felt like I could do better if I got a website like this. It was also hard to find people to study with.

I am available almost every day; I've made this my full time job for the summer. I would love for anyone to join and could not care less about your background/limitations. Everyone is welcome.

If you are interested in forming a study group, please contact me!

Hi all!

I'm having troubles really focusing and staying on schedule. In the past, I've been more successful when I know there is someone else checking in on me. So, I'm looking to see if anyone wants an accountability partner/study buddy (or group)! It can be anything from just checking in weekly to make sure we each have done what we need to or studying and reviewing questions together. I'm thinking of taking the LSAT in September or October, depending on how ready I feel.

November LSAT Group

I'm looking to form a small study group for the November LSAT. I'll be getting started studying in the next week or so. I have a full time job and a family as well. So I'm looking for like minded people with a busy schedule to challenge one another . Let me know if you're interested.

Hey all, I am looking to see if anyone is interested in joining (or if there exists) a south Texas LSAT study group.

Primarily between the 361 to 956 area codes.

I don't see any study buddy postings for these south Texas cities, so I figure I'd try and get the ball rolling here.

Are you looking for an easy way to find people to study with? Or do you just want a break from reviewing questions on your own?

You're in luck! Whether you are taking the June test or you are studying now for a future test, join us for our next "Study Group Breakout" on Tuesday, May 16th from 8:00-9:30pm ET.

Here's how it works:

Register for the Breakout no later than Monday, May 15th.

Take PT55 Section 2 (based on 7Sage's numbering - should be an RC section) and Blind Review it, but DON'T look at the answers. I suggest you take it as a "Drill" rather than as a PrepTest! You can do this by going to the "Practice" tab and choosing "Drills," then selecting "Newer" PTs, selecting "Reading Comprehension," and scrolling to PT55 S2. You will have to individually add each passage to your drill, but hit "Create drill with 4 passages" at the bottom right when finished, and voila!

Log in to the Breakout Session at the appointed time. We will automatically place you in a group of 3-5 students with similar scores so you can review the section together.

At the end of the session, you can exchange emails and keep meeting if you enjoyed the group.

Hope to see you there! Register for the event using this link: https://7sage.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwofuivpj4tE9CSAtfTD9JURGaw71Tb6OmH

Hello there! I am nearly done with my AA and going to be starting my BA soon (Note: I'm in my 30s, I work fulltime and go to school, so I'm going through my college journey later than most). I know I want to take the LSATs in my junior year during my BA, so will likely not be taking it for 2 to 2 and half years from now, but I am a horrible test taker so I feel more comfortable studying long term and as a result I would like to find/make a study group for those who want to long term study as well. At the moment I am reading/self-studying The LSAT Trainer (3rd edition), with the 10 Actuals Vol VI. I'm looking for either an etablished community, or to establish a community of people to study with for the next few years.

LSAT Study Group

Hi everyone,

I am hosting a 2 month LSAT accountability sprint. What does this mean?

We will create a group and for 2 months we will: keep each other accountable with LSAT studying by coworking on a regular basis and scheduling check-ins.

Weekly Check-ins:

  • On Mondays we will check in at 12pm EST and discuss our goals for the week, we will discuss:
  • Top 3 Goals for the week
  • Potential barriers we predict
  • How we plan to overcome those barriers
  • Whether or not we reached our goals the previous week
  • Time-block coworking:

I will host time-block coworking sessions every day. At the start of each time block we will do a short check-in to discuss our goals for that time block. During these time-blocks we will NOT review questions together or have test review sessions. We will simply do our own thing and co-work.

    Time blocks:

    9-11AM EST (daily)

    1-3PM EST (daily)

    7-9PM EST (daily)

    Discord Community:

If interested, ping me for the discord link.

    When does this start?

As soon as we get a solid and committed group going.

    Greetings 7Sagers!

We're inviting you to join us every Wednesday, from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm EDT for a dedicated study session!

Most study groups are a lot of socializing and not a lot of actual work. That might be good for your mental health, but not so much for your LSAT score. This study session on the other hand is about taking care of business. Join us to keep yourself accountable and improve your LSAT score! We will make a bit of space for breaks and camaraderie, but the main thing is to come together, put our heads down, and get our work done!

Whether you're studying for the LSAT or just need a dedicated time and space to focus on your work, this weekly study session is the perfect opportunity to stay on track and make progress towards your goals. Plus, by studying with a group, you'll have the benefit of accountability and support from the 7Sage community.

Joining us is simple. Just head to our events page at https://classic.7sage.com/events/, find this event, and click the blue "watch" button. This event is open to all 7Sage users, including free users. We look forward to seeing you there!

If you have any questions, please comment down below.

    Study Session Rules:

    The Lounge Room

  • Participants will first enter into the Lounge.
  • Turn your mic on and take your social breaks here.
  • The Study Room

Video should be turned on. This is the whole concept of a virtual study session. If your video isn't on, you won't feel the same degree of accountability!

Mics must be muted, and participants must be actively studying.

We will continue to use RingCentral, though I am still not really sure what the deal is with its apparently-absent waiting room functionality. So I'll probably just put the link up ~15 minutes early and let people filter in. Feel free to chat amongst yourselves in the meantime! Face cameras are gently encouraged - it's a lot easier to have a conversation that way.

    =============

Hi everyone! I decided it would be cool to run some office hours and help some folks out. I've done a few of these in the past and it's always been fun to talk shop with people. Think of it as a drop in/drop out study group, open to all.

Limiting this to 7Sage for now because it's easier to get things done if everyone has a common basis in terms of vocabulary, how you learn the theory, etc. and after a decade of using 7Sage I know the curriculum like the back of my hand.

Who Am I/Why Should You Listen To Me?

I scored 175 on the September 2006 LSAT (-4 RC, -2 LR, -0 LG), graduated from Columbia Law School in 2010, spent a year on fellowship with a judge in Bronx Supreme Court Criminal Division while teaching LSAT on the side, and have been teaching the LSAT full time since September 2011. I worked with JY on PreProBono and in the early years of 7Sage, was a 7Sage "Approved Tutor" for the entire life of that categorization, and am the only person other than JY himself who has ever had an instructional video published on 7Sage's live site. I am also the lead LSAT tutor and department chair of a local NYC-based test prep boutique. Some of my writing still resides in the "Sage Advice" section of this forum, so go check it out if you're interested .

Over the past decade-plus, I have amassed over 8,000 hours of combined classroom-based and one-on-one LSAT teaching experience, working with a diverse set of students from across the USA and all around the world - Canada, Brazil, Netherlands, England, France, Qatar, Korea, and China just to name a few. The best score increase I've ever achieved with a student is +36 (136 -> 172).

If you listen to the 7Sage Podcast, you may have heard my name mentioned in episode #67 - Vanessa (138 -> 169) was my student.

    How Can I Join?

I'll put up a video chat link above when the time comes, and take it down when we're done.

    When Will These Be Happening?

I currently intend for this to be a weekly thing, but the timing will vary depending on the other moving pieces of my schedule. It's not likely that every time will work for everyone, but I will at least attempt to switch it up so that anyone interested can make it at least some of the time. I currently live in New York, but I am a born and raised Californian so I understand the tyranny of Eastern Time very well, so don't worry West Coasters - I'm thinking of you guys too.

    What Can I Ask?

Anything is fair game for now - general theory questions, questions about individual questions, macro questions about how to study/trajectory, questions about what hair products I use, etc. Feel free to DM me questions in advance as well. I can't promise I will get to all of them (don't take it personally!), but I will certainly do my best.

I am currently unsure how to handle the whole 'spoilers' issue (for example, a student has a question on PT60 S1 Q1, which another person hasn't gotten to yet), but I think that shouldn't stop me from just getting started. We might just have to tell some folks to deafen themselves temporarily if they don't want to get spoiled for now. In the future I may limit discussion in a specific session to a specific range of PrepTests or curriculum-only, or choose a specific topic to address in depth, or whatever else comes to mind to avoid this issue, but I still have to feel that out organically. Suggestions welcome.

    Will This Be Recorded/Uploaded Somewhere?

No plans for recording at this time.

    What Will This Cost Me?

Nothing but your time. Happy to help.

What If I Have Another Question?

Fire away! In this thread or in DM.

    Hello!

My name is Kim and I'm looking for a study group/partner. I'm in my early stages of studying but was wondering if anyone would be interested in a study partner/group. I don't have much friends who are also pursuing law so I thought I'd reach out here! I'm aiming to take the February or March LSAT but am open to studying with anyone at any point in their journey. I'm mostly looking for someone to talk about our study progress with alongside actually studying with them. I like doing work at cafes or libraries around Toronto and am looking for someone to go and be productive with! I also think it's important to have people that I can regularly talk about the LSAT with (online and in-person) so I can hold myself more accountable. So... I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you're looking for an LSAT friend in Toronto, please reach out!
