Hi all - I've been reading posts from months/years ago to recently about study groups. I would like to start one but I'm not sure how to go ahead and do it. Any advice from the experiences study group leaders?

I am not a "teacher" by any means but would love to go over quiz questions. I love JY's videos but sometimes it gets lonely studying alone : / and I thought it would be nice to go over some of the lessons/quizzes with someone else.

Hey everyone,

I just began studying for the June LSAT and was wondering if anyone who lived in San Francisco or the East Bay would be interested in meeting in person to study for the exam. I work M-F, 8-5 in Civic Center, and am down to meet for a couple hours after work and on the weekends. Shoot me a message if you're down!

Hi 7Sagers,

I'm looking for an accountability partner, 2 max, in a similar scoring range as me.

I got a 161 on the December LSAT, but have been PTing in the high 160s and low 170s. I will be retaking in Feb.

My main goal is to drill every day and PTing around twice a week in order to improve timing and confidence. I'm interested in finding someone who is also making an effort to drill everyday. We don't have to drill the same stuff or even work on the same PTs, I'm just looking for someone to touch base with everyday to hold me accountable for daily drilling. Also, it's nice to have someone to gripe about the admissions process with.

Hey guys! Looking for a study buddy for the feb test. I took in December and got a 168, even though I was PTing in the 170's. Would love to study with someone whose scoring around the same and aiming for the same goal so we can motivate one another and get better together! Really want this to be the last time I have to take this test!!!

I'm using materials mostly from 7Sage as well as the LSAT Trainer and Manhattan LSAT Prep.

Hey 7Sagers, I'm leading BR calls for PT 82 (September 2017 LSAT).

I'm holding 6 sessions total. 2 for each of LR 1, LR 2, and RC. Each session will focus on only one section of PT 82.

All sessions will start at 6:30p ET and end at 8:30p.

Multiple sessions are meant to accomodate people's various schedules and to reduce class size per session.

What happens in these sessions?

I'll ask students to state which questions were circled for BR. We'll work through the questions the group nominates. I generally try to ask students questions to elicit the right response. Please wear headphones and try to be in a quiet place.

How should I prepare?

Take PT 82 and have the questions you'd like to BR ready. The first thing I'll ask everyone is which questions they'd like to BR.

Hey everyone,

October is halfway over and we only have a month and a half left before our December test! So lets keep working hard and lets get our dream score. (3(/p)

This week we will be going over PT 70. Both session will be taking place on the weekend at 7 pm (eastern time). I was finally able to get that time slot open. :)

We will be doing the same thing as last time. Please do the test timed and bring a blank, unmarked copy to the review session. We will be going over the questions. For Reading comprehension, please arrive on time. Once the session starts, unless we do two passages, there is literally no way to stop and review everything if you arrive late. :(

Also, not a lot of people showed up to the RC session and that's okay. If there is not a lot of interest in RC again this time, I will no longer do these session. So if you are interested, please do show up.

Thanks for coming. It really was great seeing you all and I hope it was helpful.

The next session will be on October 7th, 3 PM EDT. We will be going over PT 78.

Everyone who is gearing up for either the December or February LSAT is welcome to join.

The requirement for this meeting is to take PT 78 timed - no exceptions. If you have done this PT before, I recommend taking it again as a repeat. Please do not look at the answers or grade the PT before hand. Looking at answers before hand undermines the blind review process both for you and everybody else. I have noticed I learn the most when I have to blind review a PT with someone without knowing what the correct answer is. Also, try to take the PT as close as possible to the meeting date. That way you can remember exactly what you were thinking under time when you took this PT.

In addition, please come to the meeting with a clean copy of the two LR sections from the test and a list of the questions you had circled for blind review and that you would like to go over in that meeting.

I have noticed I learn the most when I have to blind review a PT with someone without knowing what the correct answer is. Also, try to take the PT as close as possible to the meeting date. That way you can remember exactly what you were thinking under time when you took this PT.

Hi!

I'm based in Manhattan, and I'm interested in starting a study group for the upcoming December 2017 LSAT starting this week. I would like a group of people who already have a grasp of the fundamentals, but anyone is welcome.
