Hi guys,

Just wondering if anybody in Korea is planning on taking the September 2016 exam. Would be great to combine forces to study. As background, Ive been out of college for a few years and have been working since. I am taking a break now from my job to study for the LSATs and have been studying from January this year. Would be great to take mock exams with similar students and keep each other in check! Lemme know if anyone is interested. Cheers

BR Group. It’s kind of like this:

Wednesday, July 27th at 8PM ET: PT 48

Please click the link and comment if you plan on participating.

You can also dial in to the BR call by using your phone.

United States +1 (571) 317-3112

Access Code: 219-480-381

The Full Schedule

And if you’d like to see the full schedule for upcoming reviews, here it is:

https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=7sage.com_ft05lsm54j4ec1s6kj1d1bbpv0%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Chicago

Note:

  • For everyone: take the PT under timed conditions; BR as you are able on your own; then join us for all or part of the call—everyone is welcome.
  • Note: For the purposes of the call, we like to check our group blind review score together at the very end of the call :) So at least don't say ... "No guys, really, it's D, I checked it.” KEEP THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOURSELF. Win the argument with your reasoning.
  • These groups work best when folks from ALL stages of prep and with all different goals join in! Not just for "super-preppers" and definitely not just for the casual LSATer (does such a person exist?).
  • The only expectation anyone has for these calls is for you to have fun and ask questions as you desire. We are just a bunch of LSAT lovers who gather via GoToMeeting and intellectually slaughter each test.

Since we had a great discussion on an El Nino question last time, I thought I’d look it up and learn more about it. Really interesting weather phenomenon actually, so thought I’d share what I found:

    Hello Everyone!

I took the June LSAT and my score was not high enough for my target schools, so I am gearing up to take the September/December exam ( I have not decided which one I will be taking yet). I am looking for a motivated study partner in Atlanta who is open to meet a couple days out of the week.

    Thanks,

    Kristen

Hi. I've been studying independently for a retake in June 2017. I may take it sooner but that's my target date for now. I haven't been able to find a consistent study buddy/group through the 7Sage Study Buddy feature, so I'm posting here to reach more people. I'm from the northwest Chicago suburban area.

I'd prefer to meet in person at a minimum of once every other week with online communication in between, but I'm open to meeting 100% online, particularly if we are otherwise a good fit. My diagnostic was a 157. My actual score was a 162. I'm looking for buddies who are scoring 160+ and are aiming for 170+. Though my actual test says otherwise, throughout my PTs, my weakest section has been LG and my strongest RC. I'd like to study with others who complement my abilities and those who are similar to me. I want to take timed five-section exams with my buddy/group in person or online, BR independently, and then discuss together. It does not matter to me when you'll be taking the exam although if you are planning to take it far earlier or later than I am, we may have pacing issues.

Leave a response if you're interested in being buddies or forming a group. Thanks!

    Hey All -

Wanted to know if anyone has best practices or strategies for working in study groups or with study buddies?

    - Did you collaborate on a firm plan before jumping in?

    - study session recommendations?

    - wise to have focused section? For ex. A meeting for LR then separate meeting for LG and so on.

    - What happens if one begins to make greater gains? Should you cease studying together?

Any best practice strategies would be super helpful and appreciated. Feel free to mention any items that come to mind that I may not have explicitly listed.

Well, so much for plan A.

Plan B: BR until we can answer them.

    Hello 7Sage community,

I am calling on my bay area natives. Where ya at!? I'm looking to start a small study group, or if we have enough people maybe even a small community. I'm prepping for the September 2016 LSAT and plan on studying Full Time during the summer. If you plan on taking it in September and want to meet at a coffee shop or something give me a DM and maybe we can get a group going!

BR calls are great covering LR but RC does not really lend itself to a true BR process.

For me, RC is inconsistent varying on my ability to either parse out heavily convoluted text or to recognize the inferences within the passage. Given everyone's different backgrounds with different strengths, I am hoping to find a group to break down the weekly BR PT passages with a quick review of questions. Maybe macro summary of the passages mirroring the 8+ minutes we have per passage?

I know that I would greatly benefit from different perspectives on how to relate to a passage and gain wisdom from different thought processes on how to strategically read passages that are difficult for me.

If anyone is interested, please share any ideas of how to build a study group!

    2

So you want to do BR group for PT73.

That's pretty much how it's gonna be. I'll be the Smithers to your Mr. Burns. How should you feel about that?
