November'18 Study Group | Blind Review PT 84 | Thursday, November 1st| 7:30 PM EST

Hello all!

We're almost towards the end! But first, we have to decide when to have our call.

To those that are unaware, there's an admisisons seminar this Thursday at 9:00 PM EST: https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/18290/admissions-q-a-thurs-nov-1-9-p-m-et. It's a great opportunity to attend a seminar and directly ask David your questions and hopefully have them answered! (I think you have to raise your hand to be called upon).

Thereby, please vote on whether you would prefer to have the call on Thursday, November 1st or Friday, November 2nd. The voting ends on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST. You can't change your vote.

If you are done the curriculum or almost done the curriculum, join us when you can. We welcome people in all stages of prep. The point of the group is to get your lsat nerd on with other like-minded people and make the process more fun. Expand your thinking and learning by interacting with others! For my fellow shy-people, everyone is going to be focused on their own answers/questions that I guarantee you they will not be judging you based on mispronounced words, reading-speed, etc. It's all for fun!

Note: Take the PT under timed conditions; BR to the best of your abilities; join us for all or part of the call! For the purposes of the group please don't check the answers beforehand. If you happen to know the answer, keep it to yourself, and win the argument using your reasoning. Also, please don't go "so I know the answer is C but I don't know why B is wrong?" as the purpose is so that we all collaborate on improving our reasoning skills.

Enter the questions you wish to go over on the spreadsheet below! Write your name beside the question(s) you wish to cover, if the question(s) you want to cover are already marked by someone else, add your name! :) The more discussion, the merrier.

Based off of my experience and deliberation with some other folks, we're going to try something new for this group. Instead of having a call every week, we will instead have a call every other week. The reason being is that I think that the process of taking a PT, BR-ing it thoroughly, and doing drills to address weaknesses that were ascertained from that PT/BR can be really taxing when repeated weekly. I noticed, among myself and regulars on the call, that having the call scheduled every week really exacerbated burnout. Especially since people would try to force themselves to attend as many calls as possible because they felt they'd be missing out and would neglect signs of burnout. I realize that this means there won't be as many calls but this was a decision made after much deliberation. After all, PTs are just a snapshot of your understanding, the bulk of your learning happens in BR and drilling. Of course, people are free to take a PT or two every week if they need to.

Hi!

I'm in Anchorage and looking for motivated people to study/discuss LSAT stuff. I'm taking the November 2018 test.

Please let me know if you're interested! If you're in Fairbanks or Southeast or somewhere else, let's make it a Skype thing so we can include people from all over the state :)

Thanks,

Kirsten

I guess you can say that I am starting out. I'm going to be testing in November and more than likely January as well. I decided that September was unrealistic. We can get a small group going where we can all work on problems together and help each other get through this madness. I feel really optimistic about this exam and believe we can do well. Feel free to contact me here or look me up on Instagram. My name is LawSkewlProbs on IG. Hope to hear from some of your soon.

Hello San Diegans,

I'm looking to start a study group in San Diego where we can BR together either in person or on video chat. I've found BR calls on 7sage to be very helpful and I would love to do something similar with local LSAT students. It would probably be once every two weeks and we can BR full PTs and/or timed sections.

Hi Everyone!

I am looking for a group of people to study with in the Seattle area. Anyone who is taking the LSAT relatively soon (Nov or Jan '18) and is willing to meet in person would be awesome! Just looking for some people to motivate each other, work through BR, and anything else. Email me at [removed by admin] if you're interested. Thanks!

Yazmeen

Hi guys...I've been wanting to go to law School for years, but I have no motivation to take the LSAT...I took a LSAT Prep course and didn't find it to be of much help...do anyone have tips on how to study for the exam? I'm so ready to get it over with, but I don't know where to start regarding studying.

September'18 Study Group | Pep Rally | Thursday, September 6th, 2018 | 7:30 PM EST

Hey all! In case you are not aware, the September LSAT is this Saturday (8th) unless of course you are an accomodated test taker.

Whether you are a part of the group or not, please be sure to join us this week, to cheer on those taking the September LSAT. We will also have some special guests who are voluntarily taking time out of their busy lives to share their experiences and answer questions.

So join us, cheer those taking it on, and walk out after taking the test with a sense of accomplishment:

Also to those taking the test...PLEASE take a week off after from anything and everything LSAT related.

To those going for November, you can join the November SG and I'll see you then :)

This is our last BR SG review call before September so make sure to ask as many questions as you can!

Next week will be a pep rally where people can ask specific questions about test-day conditions and just as a general good luck for everyone taking the September exam.

If you are thinking of delaying, withdrawing, or taking both, there will also be a November group that starts on September 20th. Here's the link to it: https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/17311/november-lsat-2018-br-study-group/p1

If you have any suggestions for changes you would like to be made to November group, message me and I will try my best to accomodate :)
