With the new LSAT changes, which PTs are being used for question drills, and which ones are completely clean for full PTs?
I've seen that 7sage recommends taking old PTs first, but I've already done a lot of drills that uses questions from all the old PTs. Should I still do a full PT for tests I know a few answers to?
I am looking for a group of individuals who would like to work together during the blind review process. I attend Fordham University and I can get us a small study room with a white board and everything else that is needed. Looking for a dedicated and serious bunch of people who are ready to kill the LSAT together!
my permanent address will be changing next month but I am trying to request letters of recommendation sooner than that- once i update to my new address the address printed on the request form will be outdated- will that be a problem for my admission process?
Hi all!
Sorry to bother but I really want to ask what I should do if I want to visit a law school and visit a class in the law school. I know I can register a tour from their websites. However, a lot of law schools I want to visit do not provide chances to register for visiting a class.
I really want to visit a class and what should I do? Thank you so much if you guys can give me some suggestions!
What are some of the things yall are doing to research for a Why X essay? I am assuming they know everything on their website. I've been on interview panels where we've asked this question and always thought it was silly, why do you want to work here?.. They want to work here because we have an opening and they need a job... Anyway, Why X ideas?
Hello!
As I am drilling various question types, I have noticed a pattern in how I'm getting questions wrong. My main strategy with LR is that I drill the questions I need to work on most and slowly increase the difficulty. I was drilling specific flaw/ descriptive reasoning questions and as I'm getting to the 4/5 level difficulty questions I have noticed the AC have become very abstract. Even though I'm getting the assumptions right, and understanding the stimulus and where I have to look I'm still struggling to make sense of what they mean and often times that is why I end up picking the wrong AC.
Does anyone have any ideas where I could practice this specific drill? Or any ideas of how to improve this skill?
Thank you!
I had a first LSAT absence 4 years ago, which appears on the LSAC record. Back then, I decided to pursue a different career path, thinking I won't ever take LSAT and go to law school. But as I'm studying and preparing for law school again now, I was wondering if I do not show up for the registered October test, will total of two absences appearing on the record hurt my chance of admission when I actually apply?
I saw several discussions online saying it won't matter much, but those comments were written 3~4 years ago, so I wanted to know if such is still the case. Thank you!
In the link below, can someone explain number 8? The comments don't provide a clear answer, and I have no idea what it means. It makes no sense how dull means "placing demands on readers" to me

I feel like there's something wrong. I finished 7sage's LR curriculum, drilled, took practice tests, and I never scored higher than my diagnostic. In fact, I only scored between 157 and 162 on my practice tests preceding the official test. To be fair, I introduced BR very late to my study process. But I feel like it's odd that I didn't at least stumble into a higher score based on rote practice and familiarity.
Does anyone have thoughts about how to proceed for the October exam? Should I hunker down, focusing on PTs and blind review? Should I consider a different program? A private tutor? Stop studying and hope my intuition marinates over that time (JK)?

Hi my name is Mark, I'm the father of a cute 1 year old, married and I work full time in the Army. I'm asking for something really unlikely but hey it's worth a shot :) I'm looking for a tutor who can help me for free via the messaging system here on 7S or communicate through non-live chat, mainly due to my constantly changing military and family obligations. I'm PT'ing at about 160, BR'ing in the low 170's and I have an intense drive to hit that 170!! :D I wake up early to study before work, study over lunch, and I hit the library after work if my wife has a handle on the crazy 1 year old. I really want to go to Stanford or Harvard and I know I can do it!!! I just need a little help to get there.
I'm taking the November LSAT but I plan on taking at least 2 more LSATs next spring and summer.
Currently I need the most help with descriptive weakening, necessary assumption, parallel flawed method of reasoning, and most strongly supported. I totally suck at LG but I'm working through foolproofing and my RC is usually -7.
Any tips / help is much appreciated and if someone is willing to help out or give tutoring a shot, I'd absolutely appreciate it. Thanks :)
Mark
Any tips for flaw questions? It seems as the harder I try, the worse I do for these questions. :,-(
Given that they are the most common LR type, I need big time help.
Not sure if "taking a cut" is exactly how the policy works. I've heard having a BL summer associate salary will affect how you receive need-based aid, or that the salary is not fully yours.
I heard this a while back about Harvard and then again on social media a couple weeks ago about Harvard, YLS, and Stanford. I don't really know the specifics.
Does anyone know which law schools do this and how it works?
UNC is my dream! though, my GPA is somewhat mid i think, sittin pretty at 3.64 and i take the LSAT next weekend. i've been scoring in the low 160s, so i'm anticipating somewhere around there (if i end up with below a 160, i'm retaking- also yes i know i'm likely to do worse on the real deal but i'm being optimistic hehe). if anyone is super familiar with UNC or their admissions office, is it possible for me to get accepted? rather, is it likely? also important to note that i believe my personal statement will be quite strong, as i have quite a bit of writing experience (if that would make much of a difference). thanks!
I had drafted my essays for Yale in 11pt font prior to reading that they require 12pt. Anyone have a perspective on how much wiggle room their "approximately" language provides? Feel free to comment or just respond to the poll below.
Example directions are: "The optional essay should be approximately one double-spaced page, formatted in a professional 12-point font,"
hi! i would love to connect with a current student at UNC, i have been having a hard time finding current students to chat with, and it's my #1 choice! please let me know if you know anyone that would be willing to have a quick phone call or email exchange. good luck to all!
Hi. My name is Juan and I'm starting this new discussion in hopes of connecting with others that suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder and are taking the LSAT with accommodations. If there is anyone in the community that would like to share their experiences, tips or support on how to succeed on the LSAT while having this disorder, I and I'm sure many other will appreciate it. Thanks!
Juan
Hi there. I've been hearing conflicting things about this topic. From what I've heard, as long as you don't completely mess up, there;s a very good chance of getting into a Biglaw firm upon graduation at a T14 schools. I've heard, too, that it is likely to get into a Biglaw position at any T50 school, though the drawbacks sometimes is that you are limited in a regional sense. For example, Boston College sent many many students to Biglaw firms, but mainly in the Boston area. Thoughts on this? Trying to decide, as someone who wants to get into Biglaw after law school, whether I should even consider applying to schools outside the T14 or not. I've just heard conflicting things.
Hi all,
Is anyone else having issues with getting kicked out of PrepTests with plenty of time remaining? I've now been kicked out of three PrepTests all with at least 15 minutes remaining in a given section. This has become increasingly frustrating as it's not allowing me to get a valid score or accurately track my progress. If anyone has experienced this, please let me know if you found a solution.
Thank you!
hi! i am starting completely fresh for the 2026 cycle, anyone want to study together !! i can do zoom or anything

I started doing this course this week. I just completed doing the blind review by going through the diagnostic test for June 2007. I am not sure that I did the blind review correctly as I went down two points post blind review.
My process of completing the blind review was watching the videos twice each, making notes and following through. I completed step one by going through the circled and seeing if I need to change or not and did that for all four sections. I originally was going through the whole test again and searched through the forums to see if I was doing it right. I then just went through the rest of the test just going through the circled questions. I am uncertain if my process just wasted time. I did the explanations in my head and now I wonder if I should start doing the actual foundations course or go through the other steps of the analysis before moving on to doing arguments on the course. Did I take the diagnostic to early or should I just continue with what I am currently doing by going through that prep test and sitting down and analyzing my choices and answers with all the questions. Can I change the prep test to printed test without any issues so I can analyze each question. Should I rework my process? Need advise on what to do!
It shows this on the Blind Review under action:
If you have trouble understanding the trap, then you should:
Is this what I do post blind review since I scored it. Do I end up keeping the questions and reviewing it?
Looking for a study buddy who are taking the LSAT in January 2025 to hit the 155-160s range. My Discord is PK#1370, feel free to contact me and hopefully work together to do great on the LSAT
I currently scoring in mid-160s, and the main issue holding me back is missing 2-3 level 1/2 questions at the beginning of the LR section. Any advice on how I can improve this? I initially thought it was due to rushing or overthinking, but I'm not completely sure at this point. Does anyone have any advice on how I can improve this?
Hi everyone! My name is Tony and I am currently PTing between 169-172 and it has been a long, long road. Anyways I am wondering if there is anyone here who is taking Jan exam who also took either Oct or Nov to come up with some strategies, anticipating question types and passage topics, ETC comment!!
