I recently scored a 158 on the October LSAT and am taking it again in January with the goal of 165. I know that you can only apply to a school once per year, so I am tempted to wait till after seeing my second score. But, I have also heard that some schools will delay their decision until your second score comes in. Thoughts?

i've been seeing a lot of people's RAM usage higher than the 95% allowed by Proctor U. There are tons of articles on how to reduce your RAM on our computer. These are my go-to tips for a macbook air (intel - but that doesn't matter)

  • remove any "log-in" applications
  • system preferences > users & groups > Login items > uncheck all
  • clear cached files
  • finder > search "~/library/cache" select all - delete all
  • EMPTY YOUR TRASH
  • this should be quite substantial after clearing your cached files
  • Quit background programs
  • activity monitor > filter high/low CPU usage > quit programs you're not using
  • if you use google chrome...
  • clear browsing data

elipses top right hand corner > settings > clear browsing data

    clear chrome task manager

elipses top right hand corner > more tools > task manager > quit any running programs

**** NOT proctor U extension though

  • if all else fails, restart your computer and try again with a fresh start
  • hope this helps - good luck!

LG was by far my worst section (-17 on cold diagnostic), and now that is at a -6. I was planning on finishing LG, but these "in-out" games seem to rely on previous lessons in LR (I assume), is it time to pivot and do LR then come back to LG?

Also, how often do these pop up? I've done 3 PTs and never had one, just seq, seq twist, and grouping.

There is no explanation for this question on 7sage, so I'll just post a discussion that includes my reasoning on how I got this wrong in timed conditions and later right in BR. If anyone finds it useful, great!

    RRE question.

In jurisdictions where the use of headlights is optional when visibility is good, drivers who use headlights at all times are less likely to be involved in a collision than those drivers who use headlights only when visibility is poor.

Record shows that making use of headlights mandatory does nothing to reduce the overall number of collisions.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

Why is it that drivers who use headlights at all times are less likely to be involved in a collision than those that only use it when visibility is poor? If in any case, the record shows that making it mandatory does not reduce the number of collisions.

Sometimes repeating the stimulus in a question form that directly addresses what the gap is between the 2 statements is what helps reach the link the gap of what is missing. It is also important to do this in a confusing stimulus because you do not want to lose sight of what you are trying to reconcile.

It is also good to prephrase (try to picture the flaw in a question before moving into the ACs). In this case, because maybe what causes the collision is not necessarily the headlights and perhaps there is another factor that plays a role, and the headlights are just correlated with this.

    <><><><><><><><>

AC C: I picked it but I switched to E on timed conditions (wrong decision). C sounds kind of irrelevant but in reality, it directly addresses the question stated above. Why is it that there is a difference between the drivers who use headlights at all times and those who do not? Because the former are more careful, which might explain why they get into less collisions.

AC E: This sounds good at first, but it fails to reconcile the statements. It just gives a reason to maybe why the jurisdiction implemented the law. It does not explain why those drivers that use headlights at all are less likely to be involved in a collision than those who use it when is poor.

I believe I have a firm understanding of most underlying concepts to questions/passages at this point in my studies. Although, I might easily be incorrect in that presumption. I have read the LR and LG PowerScore bibles page-for-page. I have completed nearly every educational video in the syllabus for 7Sage. I have read the entirety of Manhattan Prep's RC book. I am kinda stuck on where to go from here. Here are my stats currently, which I am only providing as a basis for how I should study:

Generally LR (-2/-3), LG (-0/-1), and RC (-5/-6).

These stats alone -- I think -- reveal my weakness in RC and a need to really focus on it in the coming days. Are there any suggestion on how I can most effectively improve my score in roughly 30 days? I could still take sections and review normally. I could attempt to pay for a tutor -- albeit I am completely self-supporting in college. Any insight on how to make the next jump would be greatly appreciated!

I understand why the correct answer is correct but I’m still iffy about answer choice A. Every website I check has different reasons for why it’s incorrect. I’ve read that it’s because the choice says beverage which doesn’t necessarily include coffee but is that a legitimate reason? It seems like nitpicking to me but if I’m wrong I’d like to know. I picked A because I thought the different levels of exercise could explain the discrepancy in arthritis between the two groups. Looking back I think I misread A as saying people who drink decaf are more likely to exercise than those who drink regular coffee. Would that make the choice correct or no? Why or why not?

I've been preparing LSAT for almost a year and I was originally planning to apply in the 2021-2022 cycle. I took the Aug test as my first try and got screwed. It seems to me that the LSAT became harder after it changed to 4 sections and the difficulty levels are closed to PT 80s. My LG is unstable, LR makes little progress and RC is a complete nightmare. I was originally planning to take the November test but the schoolwork burned me out and my study schedule got messed up it seems like I made no improvement over the past months. I got so frustrated and I literally had no motivation to practice at all. I'm right now thinking about postponing the November test to Jan and apply next year, but the pressure of worrying about I could not make improvement even if I postpone it makes me want to cry. The pressure of schoolwork, LSAT prep, and job searching for next year all add up and makes me feel so lost rn. I know I sounds like a spoiled school kid who can not handle pressure (I know many people who are in the workforce also struggled with LSAT prep and somehow manage to succeed) , but at this stage I just want to write out my true thoughts and I wonder if there's anyone who also decide to change their original plan from applying this year to next year because of struggles with the test change. Want to hear more thoughts and advice from ppl who are experiencing similar things. Thx

    HI guys,

Do you guys think it would be beneficial to first learn the section and then do practice questions before moving on to the next section. Like should I get the methods down first then practice and do exams or should i get the method down apply it additionally and move on?

    Let me know.

    Hello,,

I am trying to make sense of why I would get -14 on one section and -4 on other section of same PT..

This was from PT 75.. Has anyone experienced this score difference?

    Hi all,

Neurotic question here: Just submitted a bunch of apps these past couple days. For those of us submitting now, are we at a considerable disadvantage to people who applied in Sept - Nov?

I choose A, I thought it was a Sufficente/ Necessity error confusion, but I can understand that the suttle part is when the argument give us an example of a recent research where flexibility works better than tighten groups if a common purpose is shared, but what if not? That means the sufficient condition is not meat and we lose the necessary condition, so we don't have an argument.
