Everywhere else I read says LSAT has gone back to having a fourth unscored section. But looking at the three options offered on the prep tests here confused me a little. To confirm, will there be an experimental section for the August LSAT?

The prep test starting page gives the three options below:

  • Legacy 4-section LSAT (LG, LR, LR, RC)
  • Current 3-section LSAT(LG, LR, RC)
  • August 2024 3-section LSAT (LR, LR, RC)
  • Plus, it seems like in the past the experimental sections has always been LR. Is it possible that the August test could have an additional RC question instead? How did the LSAC test new RC questions in the past?

    Thanks for your time!

On full PTs, I scored a 178 and 179 in my PTs and then was scoring slightly lower at 173-176, but now I’ve scored 172 twice in a row. I can see I’m capable of that near perfect score, but now I am worried about the recent decline especially as I get close to the April test date.

For the entire time, I’ve been taking a full PT and blind reviewing on weekends and taking 1-2 sections on weekdays to take 2-3 tests a week.

Has anyone else experienced similar score declines and how did you combat them?

Not sure if this is just me, but it looks like there aren't any discussions under new PT questions now. But I know that these PTs aren't actually "new," but just mixed questions from old PTs. Is there a way to get these discussions from past PTs into these "new" PTs? Seeing people discuss questions is super helpful to me! #help

    Thank you!

    Hi all!

I am planning on taking the August 2024 LSAT. Would anyone be willing to meet online, perhaps over Zoom, once a week and we can go over a PT that we all took ahead of time and review it. I am in Chicago time.

I am aiming for a 174+ and currently scoring in the low 170s, ideally if you would like to join it would be better if you were pt-ing at at least 160+ but I am happy to study with anyone scoring anywhere.

    Hi everyone-

The room in which I am planning to take my LSAT has frosted on one wall covering the middle section, with clear glass on the top and bottom. Will this be acceptable for my remote LSAT?

Alternatively, does anyone know how I can take my test on an L-shaped desk, where one of the sides has a desktop computer?

Currently, I am leaving a lot of questions on the table during BR because of my overconfidence errors (I'm not flagging questions that I ultimately get wrong). How do you correct overconfidence errors? I feel like it's difficult because you don't even know that you're committing an overconfidence error (you think you understand the stimulus and the answer, so why would you question it?).

Because of this, I'm not seeing much of a score increase between my actual score and my BR score. Help!

hi everyone! just wondering if anyone who has taken lsat with extra time or extended break accommodations can speak to if they were placed in a separate room with their own proctor? and if they had to check in with the test site prior to testing or if just being approved by lsac and showing up is enough. thank you!

hey everyone. wondering if anyone who has taken the test at a test site can tell me the exact materials we are given at a test site. I think i am seeing some varying info online so just trying to confirm if we are given pens or pencils and how many pieces of scrap paper we are given and if they are lined or blank. also just confirming we take the test on a desktop at the site. thanks in advance ! (i know this is super specific of me to ask ahha)

Obviously parallel flaw questions and some other question types like SA and MBT usually require logic mapping, but how do you decide during PTs and the actual test when to need to use conditional logic?

And what are the question types that 100% require mapping, often require mapping, and usually do not require mapping?

    Thanks!

Hi! I saw that the Drills and PT pages have been updated with the old/new PT to account for the new LSAT format, but now I can't find the LG drills. Does anyone know where I can find them?

I have been taking about 1-2 practice test per week for the past few weeks, and my scores have plateaued around 161. I am take the April LSAT, and I have about 2 weeks until test day. Any tips to jump 3-4 more points? I have taken 11 prep test since I started studying, and plan to take 4 more before I test.

    Scores:

    2/6/24 159

    2/18/24 159

    2/28/24 162

    3/8/24 161

    3/21/24 161

    3/26/24 160

Hello Everyone! I am 21 years old, but I file independently because I take care of 100% of my living. I am not married and don't have any kids. I'm not sure why LSAC automatically marks me as a dependent and requires my parents' tax information to receive the fee waiver. Does anyone know a way to bypass this? I'm guessing it is because of my age but it doesn't make sense that it automatically thinks everyone receives help from their parents. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I'm preparing to take the June LSAT and wanted to find someone to study with. I'm hoping we can exchange ideas, help one another out with understanding some of the challenging concepts. The LSAT gets demotivating so being able to learn new techniques or ideas would be great to avoid that feeling!!

If anyone is interested please let me know, we can create a plan which works for us :)

Edit: I created a GroupMe! For anyone who would like to join!! just send me a message and i'll share the link!

    Hey 7Sagers,

I just wanted to make this post to tell everyone that there is hope for everyone to make it, including those who don't start off with a decent diagnostic score. My diagnostic score was a 137, my final (PT) score was a 156, and my final (test day) score was a 154.

    I understand that this isn't a 170+ score, but I think that it's worth mentioning since it's a nearly 20 point increase.

I started studying in May of 2022 and finished in January of 2024. People say that you can't expect for your score to change much from your diagnostic, but I just wanted to say that it did for me, meaning it can and will for you too.

I self-studied using 7Sage and Loophole. I also used 7Sage Tutoring, which really helped me with RC, as that's the section I struggled most with.

I've struggled a lot with wondering if I'm good enough or smart enough for law school, and now I am a JD candidate at a Canadian law school.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

    I believe in you!

Hi all, apologies if this question has been asked already (I've looked to no avail),

I'm planning on taking the August 2024 exam (without LG), but so far have been following the old v1 syllabus (I'm still on the CC). It appears a lot has changed with the v2 syllabus. Is v2 specifically tailored to the post-LG exams, or just an "update" to v1? I'm curious about whether it's better to start anew from the beginning of v2, or to continue with v1 and just skip LG sections, or to ignore 7sage's study schedule and blend the two syllabi.

For those of you also in this sort of situation, what are your plans?

    Thanks

After completing the Foundation lessons, and now doing the LR lessons, I feel the Foundation Lessons were grueling and a bit boring to get through, but now that I'm doing LR, I'm glad I went through the Foundations.

I'm having fun learning about LR and applying the knowledge from the Foundation lessons.

    Anyone else feel this way?

I know everyone always says that the recommended studying time is different for everyone but, I really feel like I should take the June LSAT with the games because they are the most learnable section. My first PT from 7sage was a 144 which I know is low, however would it be completely out of the realm to be able to score a 160 on the June test(pending me studying). Would 2 months be enough time for an increase like this? I really want to get into Michigan State with a good scholarship and their average is a 159.

If possible, how many hours should I be putting in a week to increase my chances?

I've been taking my last few LSAT prep tests under the Modern version because I was curious to see what it was like, and I did not see much change in my performance compared to the legacy version.

Is there any advantages/disadvantages to testing in one format vs the other?
